Each step is always a concern, as if the step leaves a trace of the virus. They looked disgusted and fed up. Oh come on. He's sick of all this too. Luna braced her heart to ignore everything, Luna even cared about her hearing. He continued to walk enjoying the cool morning air, although only three months he lived in this village, but he had memorized the streets in the village.
A little more he will arrive at his school. But his steps came to a halt as someone threw a twig at him. Not about his body but almost because the twig hit the end of his shoe. He raised his eyes looking for the pitcher. There was a boy who was wearing a uniform. Luna ignored the boy and just passed him by. But the boy was still following in his footsteps. Do not take a headache he continued his steps until entering the class.
“Weihh, the mute already Dateng.” Said one of the girls in the class.
“Yes, look forward to Rista's buk telling the group representative to read poetry, is he does not have a group. How's it read?” they all laugh. Consider the lack of Luna is a joke material.
Yes, here Luna is often bullied, even ostracized. All the kids at school thought he was weird just because he couldn't talk.
Tet
The entrance bell rings. All the children who were still outside started to enter the classroom. Before long the first teacher came in. As they said earlier. Rista's Buk had children create, analyze and read poetry. Each group consists of two people and no more. But since no one wanted a group with Luna, then he did the task alone.
“Hallo, morning kids.how about the task? Already done.”
“Not.” Answer them in unison.
“Well we'll see who can understand the content in the poem. But before that mother will introduce a new child in this class.”
All the disciples were silently waiting for who the new disciple was. Until a boy came into the room. “Please introduce yourself to them.”
“Hallo my name is Joan, greetings know.”
A brief introduction from Joan was warmly welcomed by the children in the class. Buk Rista told Joan to sit next to Luna, because only the chair was empty. Nobody wants to sit with Luna, they don't want to be bothered by Luna. Though Luna herself felt that she had never troubled others. Buk Rista began to tell each group to go forward to recite the poem and collect the results of the analysis of the poem.
Each advanced group recited their poem, the first poem about 'friendship’, the second about mother love', the third about 'trust', continuing on up to, group nine about 'affectionate'.
The last is her being alone. But since the new disciple had no group, Luna was in a group with him. Luna advanced followed by Joan. The teacher told Luna to hand over the poem to Joan. Luna nodded and handed over her poetry paper for Joan to read.
My vera
That tone is discordant
The voice vibrates
Water in the eye rim
Her open lips vanished
I looked at them expectantly
Could the laughter be locked
Stop no more
I want to run and hide
The shadow continues to disturb
KiBer circling mocking me
Caught my consciousness
Take my courage
Emotional traps shut down space
Stand up, wake up, the verse is yours.
They're all quiet. The poem Joan recited belonged to Luna but they were fixated on Joan. Perhaps it was the success of Joan who could invite listeners into the poetry she read. Buk Rista applauded to congratulate them for being a good team. Then Luna handed over the analysis of her poem.
We sat back to our seats. Joan smiled at luna. He said his poetry was good. Luna was silent and did not return her smile.
After yesterday luna and Joan got good grades. He often asked to teach some subjects to luna. Even though after studying together, Luna became aware that she was smarter. They rarely communicate because Luna can't talk. Several times Joan often plays to Luna's house which turns out they are neighbors. Joan would approach Luna every morning, although Luna ignored her kindness she still approached Luna. According to Joan Luna was different, mysterious in her entanglement.
Luna no longer has parents, she moved to this village because she followed her grandfather. Luna used to be able to talk but since her parents died Luna can no longer speak. The grandfather was confused, Luna could not talk or did not want to talk. When spoken to Luna will only answer through writing. Luna also had no friends, except for Joan the new student who recently often visited Luna's grandfather's house. It was also Luna did not show familiarity, Luna tended to ignore Joan.
Sometimes even the grandfather who invited Joan to talk, joking and asking Luna school.
Luna never went anywhere but to school. Luna's grandfather was worried that Luna would not be used to communicating with other people. Grandpa was afraid of Luna being an introvert. Whereas in the past when his parents were still there Luna was a cheerful person.
Luna has a singing hobby. Even now Luna no longer touches her favorite piano. Until one day my grandfather heard the piano sound in the house next door which was Joan's house. Luna also heard each other's earthy tones creating a beautiful melody. He walked up to the window of his room. Directly across from Joan's room. Luna was carried away by the music, until she unconsciously sang along to voice the beautiful voice that had been restrained.
Joan heard a woman's voice from across the room. He continued to run his fingers lentiknya create a beautiful melody. The woman's voice stopped. He also stopped, Joan ran towards Luna's house, she saw grandfather crying with a smile towards her. Without a word he went into Luna's room, because that's where the woman's voice came from.
“That's your voice.” Joan asked Luna who was still standing by the window. Luna was silent she just nodded.
“then why have you been silent” asked Joan again while sitting in the window of Luna's room, they were very close. I could see that there were tears on her cheeks that were a little wet. They looked at each other, Joan was trying to understand what Luna meant and Luna was trying to say something to Joan. Luna took her laptop on the table.
“I'm trying to talk through writing. I want others to see me only through the writing I make.” Obviously Luna was on Joan while showing her laptop screen. There is a neatly lined writing, then Joan understands if Luna is writing a novel. Luna did not want to talk but because she wanted to speak through her writing. Joan read the article entitled ‘Luna's Dream'.
He continued to read the writing until he understood there Luna told a cheerful girl who wanted to circumnavigate the world. He wrote many works in different parts of the world. But what he does not understand is that Luna's character in Luna's writing is a cheerful figure, inversely proportional to Luna who is in front of him. He was confused why Luna did not want to talk when she could talk and why Luna told her writing.
“I don't want to talk, doesn't mean I'm mute.” Luna said to Joan.
Joan was silent, she did not understand what Luna was trying to convey to her.
Tomorrow as usual Joan will approach grandfather's house, taking Luna to leave together. And Luna went back silent. It made Joan even more curious, she still did not understand. They were silent all the way to school. Joan who usually talks a lot, this time she was a lot of silence. Until we got to school, everything was as usual. Many children were mocking Mute Luna. They said it directly in front of Luna. Joan was also often persuaded by them not to befriend a mute woman. Joan increasingly did not understand, why Luna would be ridiculed like that if she could talk. The mysterious Luna makes Jovan's curious soul scream for an explanation.
After school Joan went straight to Luna's house after saying goodbye to her mother. He went into the house of the unlicensed grandfather who got the gel from the grandfather. 'basic young man' thought the grandfather who was busy with his plants.
“lun, Luna. Joan is coming, Lo is busy ya.” After seeing Luna who is still cool with her laptop.
Joan just sat next to Luna. They were currently in Luna's room. Tired of Jovan's eyes researching Luna's neat room with blue walls. He moved closer to the photo that was attached there. Not only is there one photo, but there are many photos that show Luna smiling happily with her friend. Or Luna is barbeque with her parents.
There are many more photos that depict a different world to the world of Luna today. Joan looked at the collar of Luna who was also looking at her. He was a little afraid that Luna would be angry because she was presumptuous to see a photo that was personal to Luna. But the assumption is wrong!
Luna was not angry, she was standing next to Joan. Take a look at the photo that was there. Luna even explained that if the photo was taken not long ago, the longest was the photo when she went to the top with her friends.
Luna said it was a photo one year ago. He told me the story from one photo to another. Joan looked at Luna's face as she told her about the photo. He wondered why Luna was not like this.
Why Luna pretended to be mute even remained silent when bullied and alienated. Joan likes Luna's smile, so rarely does she have the chance to see it. Luna, who had been cool with the story, now turned to look at Joan. Raising his eyebrows, as if asking why. Joan who understood just shook her head with a smile.
He read a novel by Luna. There he was glued to read the story where before Luna accident until he had an accident. His eyes glared in surprise staring at that screen. Joan turned towards Luna without a sound. He looked at Luna with a face that was difficult to read. Until Luna explained to her herself.
“I want to speak in writing because I can't speak directly.” Said slowly.
They were still staring at each other. From that story. Luna was mute because she couldn't speak, not verbal but talk that would endanger her. Luna has not talked to protect herself from anyone. And that someone was Luna's own grandfather. Luna's grandfather doesn't want Luna to tell anyone else if she's the one who caused the accident. Yes, so indirectly.
The killer of Luna's parents is Luna's own grandfather. He did not want to talk because he wanted to consider himself in a period of trauma. And why would Luna want to tell Joan this. Because according to her Joan can be believed, when she tried to stay away from Joan or ignore Joan. Joan wanted to be friends with him from where Luna wanted to trust Joan. If asked if Luna's grandfather did not love Luna? The answer is darling.
“So you intend to love this to the publisher?”
joan asked very slowly. Luna nodded, she would hand this over to the publisher and if she escaped she would be in contract to become a full-time writer.
From that money Luna wants to get away from here, not but Luna wants to go far around the world. Being a writer like the one in the story, writing in various places.
Create works that will tell the story of different places in the world. Take readers around the world through their stories. Luna's dream is not to be a doctor, or a teacher, or a pilot. Luna's dream is to travel the world with readers who want to read her story. A simple dream belongs to the girl who wants to get out of the shackles that lock her up.
Luna wrote in her book then gave the note to Joan. The contents 'I will hand over my writing to the publisher but you promise yes, keep this secret.’
After reading the writing Joan nodded steadily. Don't let anyone know if Luna wants to talk to her or something will happen.
Joan came home because it was late afternoon. He greeted the grandfather who was still gardening as usual. He came home feeling relieved and was was. He was relieved because he had known the secret of Luna which had made him curious, but also was was because it meant that Luna was actually in danger.
After Joan's return, Luna sent the story to the publisher via her email. The publisher said Luna had to wait until the time came to publish. Luna had her day as usual. Not talking and not communicating with others. Including Joan, they play each other to stay as before.
“Grandfather, Joan brought food for grandfather and Luna, from mama.”
Grandpa received the food with open arms and told Joan to go into the house. Joan came in and she didn't see Luna. He asked the grandfather, the grandfather replied that Luna was going to see her aunt. Joan was relieved that at least Luna was not in the house of the man who had killed her parents. Grandpa also said Luna would come home after a week for her school.
Luna is still a student. Joan said goodbye to Grandpa and left the house. Joan endured the longing for Luna by playing her piano. Only once did he hear Luna sing. But his voice still lingered in his head.
Joan went to school alone every day. He had other friends, but still only friends he liked. Joan always re-recorded from her book for Luna. He always counted the days, waiting for Luna's return. Joan looked at Grandpa's house every time she went in and out of it. He really missed that quiet girl. He misses her nod, her trunks even the annoyed face of Luna as she always annoys Luna. He diligently checks the novel published in one of the agencies that will publish the novel owned by Luna. But every time he checked the site never appeared Luna's name or Luna's novel. He thought Luna's writing was great.
Until it has been a week but Luna did not also appear she ventured to ask grandfather. But when I asked, my grandfather was angry, said Joan's grandfather to bother him. He looked patiently waiting for Luna by staring at Luna's room from her room. Dark is always dark. Even if Luna had gone home, the lights would have been on because Luna did not like the darkness.
He will look towards Luna's room when she misses. The book notes he made for Luna even had two books. But Luna still hasn't come home either. Joan thinks Luna has moved schools. Joan is happy if Luna has moved school means Luna has been completely freed from the shackles of her grandfather. Joan will ask him later to the school if in a month he never got news from Luna.
Almost a month has passed. The days kept changing, Joan had already missed Luna a lot. He also checks publishing sites. But Luna's name never appeared there.
Can Joan despair? He was actually desperate. His heart was agitated all the time. Until he finally asked the school.
“excuse.” Joan was let into her homeroom.
“Buk Luna is still not in, has she moved school.” Joan asked politely who was nodding Dian's book kindly.
“I am also like you, looking for info about Luna. If you ask me about the move, I say no. But when I came to his grandfather's home address. Luna's grandfather said that Luna went to her parents' house.”
The answer from Dian's book made Joan freeze. Why did Luna's grandfather tell Dian's book that Luna went to her parents' house. Isn't Luna's parents dead?
Joan came out of Dian's buk room with a confused and agitated face. Who should he trust? Is luna? Or grandpa. Joan came home with trembling hands and a pale face. Why this is even a mystery. Where did Luna go. Joan went into her room and researched Luna's room from there.
Dark, the room was still dark. Then where should he look?
Joan was sick, she didn't go to school because she was hospitalized for two days. The mystery of Luna and her grandfather was like a boomerang on her head. It exploded as he recalled the matter again. Mama and papa Joan are confused, what's wrong with her son. For two days their son was lying in a hospital bed without even speaking. Confused, that's how they feel.
Joan was able to return home today, when the car entered the courtyard of her house, Joan looked towards Luna's room which was clearly visible from this position. He felt like someone was there. It had not been a long time that he had noticed the room waiting for Luna's return. Just this time he felt the room was like there was someone, or a shadow.
Joan rushed into her room. His heart is beating fast. He tried peeking out of his window again. Empty, no more shadows there. Joan thought maybe it was just her hallucination.
Joan is not in school tomorrow. He was left alone at home because his parents had to work. Joan was actually a little scared. But how, he was impossible to ask to be accompanied.
Tuk tuk
It was a sound coming from his window. Joan came closer to her window. Waving a little curtain to peek, who knocked on the window earlier. He saw a stone under the window. Joan lifted her gaze towards Luna's window. There stood a shadowy figure like Luna, she was not sure because the room was dark.
Joan opened her window. Either it was just his feelings or indeed the shadow was like telling him to come in. Joan's been curious for a few days. He will take a big risk this time.
Joan jumped from the balcony of her room to the balcony of Luna's room which was about 1M away. Almost falling down from nervousness, Joan enters Luna's room through an unlocked window. It's so dark in there that Joan can't see anyone. But suddenly someone pulled his hand to hide under the bed. Joan complied and went under it. There was the sound of footsteps, if you look from his position it was like the feet of Luna's grandfather. He would scream, but someone would shut his mouth. He felt he was not alone under the cover.
Turns out Grandpa was just checking the open window, because of him. After closing the window, Grandpa came out of this room again.
Sweat pours from his forehead. Joan looked up and noticed the figure beside her. It looked like Luna because her hair was long and pony. Then there was something pulling his hand again to get out from under the bed and pull him towards the wardrobe.
Joan did not understand but she took the initiative to open the closet door. And answered the question all along. Luna's in there, pale. Joan examined the breath from Luna's nose which was no longer felt. Joan made sure by checking the pulse in Luna's hand, which was no longer felt.
Her tears flowed and she was confused. But someone touched her cheeks gently, wiping away the tears that ran down her cheeks.
Joan turned to the owner of the hand that remained unseen because of the dark. The figure attracted Joan to approach under the table again. Joan followed the finger of the figure pointing towards the bottom of the bottom. Joan looked down and looked for what the figure was pointing at.
He grabbed a tiny thing with a little rabbit hanger. This is Luna's flash drive.
Joan looked at the figure, she put the flash in her pocket. But he did not turn to the closet. There were more footsteps coming towards this room again.
Joan rushes into the closet along with Luna's corpse. Although it was cold but the corpse was really fragrant. Joan could not help but cry. He held back the stuffing when someone entered the room. He peeked through the door. It was Luna's grandfather who was carrying a meat-cutting knife. Joan trembled in fear, but there was a touch in her hand that made her turn, that figure earlier. He trembled even more when Luna's grandfather would open the wardrobe where he and Luna's body were. Time seems to go slowly, he hopes if later he dies there will be someone who finds his body and Luna's body.
Grandpa almost opened the door, but there was a knock outside the house. Maybe there was a guest, so grandpa passed by leaving the closet. Joan breathed a sigh of relief. He immediately came out of Luna's room, but before that he hugged Luna's body tightly.
“gue will come back again Lun, make take Lo away from here.” Joan immediately went out of the window and jumped onto the balcony of her room.
Close the window immediately. He took his laptop and sat down on the side of the bed. He opened the file on the flash. It turned out to contain the writings of Luna. He immediately sent the letter to the publisher.
It is fitting that there was never a name Luna there because Luna had not finished sending the writing in full. After he finished sending him out to his room there his parents with worried faces hugged his son. They said that they had searched Luna's grandfather's house. So the one who saved him was his own parents. They accidentally saved their son from danger.
Joan told her parents everything she knew. They're a little incredulous, but this isn't a joke. So there's no way Joan's lying. They saw the writing Joan showed on her laptop screen. They're shocked. Papa Joan called the police and asked them to investigate Luna's grandfather's house.
The police came quickly. Ransacking Luna's grandfather's house with a lot of personnel.
On papa Joan's report, there was a murder at the place. Police arrested Luna's grandfather for finding evidence of a girl's body in a closet. Joan hugged her mother. Luna, the poor girl who wants to pursue her dreams. His dream is only one around the world by making many written works.
A week after Joan sent the writing on behalf of Luna. The novel was published under the title 'Impian Luna' with the name of the author Luna Tilarda.
End.
