The Unexpected Love Journey

ARC II: CHAPTER IV

Andre and Yunita looked at each other, both of them as if exchanging questions using telepathy. Simultaneously, the people around them—who had actually noticed the two of them from earlier—started taking photos and uploading them to the internet. As if all was arranged, some of the men directly approached the five of them and blocked the people from taking more photos.

While Andre was still wondering; was his mother or Yunita's agency spreading it? And what's the purpose? He got a call from his mother.

“Mom, what does this mean?” without thinking long, Andre immediately picked up his phone and asked his mother directly without asking whether his mother was spreading the rumor or not.

“Quiet first, you keep going on vacation. Never pick up a phone call from a journalist, and a foreign number for a while. Let mama and papa handle these shameless people,” orders Andre's mother by phone. Andre did not understand why his mother spoke in such a serious tone.

One thing is for sure, something is not right with this scandal. Especially if until his mother who usually acts calm until she has to issue a statement like now and to drag the name of their family company.

“Indeed why ma? Isn't this just plain gossip like mom said yesterday?” Andre tried to ask about what caused his mother to have to issue news that he thought was a little random and unnecessary actually.

“Already, you just follow the word mama this time!!” his mother said with emphasis at the end of her sentence.

Andre who understood the nature of his mother, finally complied and a little berguyon about his limit cc to melt the atmosphere that he thought was a bit tense before finally breaking the call. He also tried to put on an expression as if nothing had happened in front of Yunita and the others so that their holiday mood would not be disturbed.

He had a guess, that Christofer was behind all this.

“No, my mama is again a fad maybe,” Andre replied with a joke because he did not want Yunita to be depressed and feel guilty. Leaving Andre and the others. Andre's mother, in her office, was busy looking at a computer screen that showed a list of the most searched words currently and also articles about Yunita and Andre.

“Bu, here's the report. Who he met the last 2 days, the background of the manager, and the leader of his agency,”

Widya, his mother's assistant Andre who has been working for 6 years entered the room and put a stack of paper that was clip into one on the table of his mother Andre.

After the door closed, Andre's mother began to open the first sheet of what Widya handed over. Like he was working on a very important case, he read the— document which contains the identity report of the person who met Christofer during the last few days of the—severy carefully part by part. Every detail was highly noticed by him. Not to forget, for the important part, Andre's mother put a barrier and recorded it in a notebook that he always carried when going to court.

“Bu, is it time for lunch? What do you want to order?” ask Widya, her mother's assistant Andre when the clock has shown at 2 pm.

There is a reason why Andre's mother can become the No. 1 lawyer in terms of the success rate of the case being defended. Besides being very detailed in reading each report. His dedication when getting a case also cannot be underestimated. Andre's mother could even be glued to the files she read for hours until she sometimes forgot about the break. Sometimes, his assistant was the one who reminded him of the break.

Yunita also looks exhausted in Andre's eyes, although still forcing a smile when there are people who ask for a photo together.
