6. CPSK. 02_04. The arrival..
Each member serves one board member. After the wooden box was finished in the distribution to the members of the congregation, ten of the ladies left the courtroom.
"Now is the time for the Council of Nobles to convey our wishes." Nobles Noribu announced, after taking a breath.
King Jinpyeong bowed his countenance, while Mishil kept smiling. Eul Jae Dae deung looked at King Jinpyeong guiltily.
"As you know, a unanimous vote is needed. Even if one of us is against.. The deliberation will continue until we reach unanimity." Nobles Noribu standing up.
"If any council member wants to oppose this, put your board in front.." While glancing with a disdainful facial expression at Eul Jae Dae deung, Nobles Noribu continued his words.
After hearing the aba from the Nobles of Noribu, the ten council members took out a small badge wooden board and held it in hand.
Two Ministers who wanted to support Eul Jae Dae deung, refused the royal marriage. But his hand came to a halt after getting a sharp glare from Nobles Noribu. With doubt, they thwart his intention of helping Eul Jae Dae deung, rejecting the royal marriage.
The atmosphere was silent, with Eul Jae Dae deung furious gripping the wooden pan inscribed disapprove.
("They're really sneaky.") Eul Jae said in his heart.
"Then, without a second thought...." With a triumphant smile, Nobility Noribu said.
Suddenly there was a loud shout from outside the open courtroom.
"Stop....." Someone ran away screaming.
Everyone present in the trial opened, turning towards the voice. It appeared that a man in white clothes was running towards His Majesty the King.
"Stop all this." He repeated his scream.
King Jinpyeong looked over, his face turning shocked. The one who shouted that, slowly the land approached towards the King.
Mi Saeng who witnessed it was shocked, her body trembled and the peacock feather fan she was holding fell down. She's stunned.
("Gukseon Moon Noh, aren't you dead on the precipice of hell.") Mi Saeng said in her heart.
"Your Majesty." That man saluted His Majesty the King.
"Gukseon's." King Jinpyeong was shocked.
Mi Shil was stunned, Seol Won Rang felt anxious, what they planned could fall apart. They both kept quiet, trying to control the situation.
"What do you mean interrupt this show, Gukseon!" Nobles Noribu shouted furiously.
"Nobody can interfere in this council except its members! even for you Gukseon, how dare you do this insult!" Nobles Noribu is angry.
Quietly Gukseon looked at Nobility Noribu then turned his body, his gaze staring outwards at the open courtroom.
"You must all stand up!, Her Majesty the Empress will be here soon!" Gukseon spoke with great authority.
The members of the congregation fell silent, they looked at each other. Eul Jae Dae Deung is no exception, his disheveled face starts to look bright.
Mi Saeng was trembling uneasily, Mi Shil who was used to a smile, looked pale, the smile on his face disappeared, as well as Seol Won.
Not long after, a stretcher went into the open courtroom. The palanquin was escorted by twelve guards.
Guests present at the open hearing automatically give way to the stretcher. King Jinpyeong continued to look up at the stretcher until it stopped, and came out someone whom he longed for. Empress Maya descended from the palanquin gracefully but was filled with anger.
The entire audience in the open congregation stood together to welcome Empress Maya's presence. All lined up then kneeled along the side of the Empress's path.
With an angry and tense face Empress Maya walked towards King Jinpyeong. The sharp glances filled with anger he aimed towards Mi Shil and his allies.
His Majesty King Jinpyeong leaped from his seat, directly hugging his beloved wife.
"May, Maya." King Jinpyeong spoke while hugging his Empress.
"Your majesty." Said the Empress in the arms of the King.
Then he took Empress Maya's hand. Tears drenched the Young King's cheeks.
"Princess Maya, can you explain all this?" Minister Se Jong covered up his disappointment with the temple asking..
"When I was heading to my family's residence.. An unknown person attacked me." Unsuspecting Empress Maya starts telling stories.
"Who would dare to do that?" Eul Jae Dae deung asked with great emotion, there is no denying so great the loyalty of Eul Jae Dae deung family to the King family.
"Mr Munno and I are trying to figure it out, but there's no trace.." Sobbing Empress Maya replied.
"I was thrown onto a cliff together with Mr. Munno, our legs and hands were tied." While glancing at Mi Shil.
Mi Shil misbehaved, due to the sharp glances of Empress Maya, quickly looked down trying to master the situation.
"Gukseon. You saved Maya. I'm thanking you." King Jinpyeong turned his gaze towards Moon Noh, then asked,
"It's not me Your Majesty, you're the one who saved us Your Majesty.." Gukseon Moon Noh tried to explain to his highness.
To his astonishment, King Jinpyeong turned his body to face Empress Maya.
"Right Your Majesty, you saved us." Empress Maya added.
"What do you mean." King Jinpyeong is confused.
"With this, I cut the rope that bound us." Weeping Empress Maya said and took King Jinheung's little dagger.
"It." King Jinpyeong looked at King Jinheung's little dagger in the Empress' hand.
"Is this really what brought you back here?!" He took the dagger from Empress Maya's hand, holding it tightly.
"It's not just me." Empress Maya takes King Jinpyeong's hand.
"It also saved our son. Your Majesty's son, and royal lineage." Put the King's hand on his stomach.
Eul Jae Dae deung smiled, clearly visible excitement on his face. Minister Se Jong looked clumsy, Mi Shil held back angrily in his smile.
"It... Our son survived too?! You saved her?!" King Jinpyeong stroked Empress Maya's growing belly.
"Yes, Your Majesty." Empress Maya smilingly replied Her Majesty the King.
"How can.., how can.. Thank ye... Thank ye...Thank ye... My empress." While crying King Jinpyeong grabbed both shoulders of Empress Maya.
The King hugged the Empress once more. Then I heard a scream.
"Long live His Majesty the King!, Long live His Majesty the Empress!" Guards cheering.
The cheers were attended by all the guests and members of the Council present.
Mi Shil also came along, clearly visible in her face, she was really disappointed. Mi Saeng glanced vengefully at Gukseon Moon Noh.
Seol Won lowered his gaze, Hwarang Chil Sook stared intently at the supporters of His Majesty the King.
They were all forced to follow the other audience, shouting out the live yel of the King, live the Empress even with a face that was not comfortable to look at.
