Chapter 2: The Engrayn Empire

Early in the morning I woke up, cleaned my whole body and put on my gear, mission clothes, weapons and luggage.

I was all set up last night before I went to bed. Maybe the other girls did that too. Though I know that some cannot sleep because of their nervousness for tomorrow.

I also prepare mentally and physically. Basically I was young, about 18 years old, the other girls were as good as me mentally and physically. But I didn't pay much heed to the ages of the elven girls who might be different from me who lived in this Tomoe Mansion.

Geck, tok.

A knock on the door sounded.

"Come in."

Astia opened the door first, followed by the other seven girls. They were chatting when they came into my room and brought their equipment.

They seem to be very different people from last night. Wearing all-black military uniforms designed as uniquely as possible by themselves, and carrying their respective weapons. That was our official mission uniform when we were and are still subordinates to King Azaka.

They only wore restaurant waiter uniforms to attract customers last night. But they now changed drastically, and became more elegant and alluring.

After that, I split the group with two members each. Among them is:

Astia with Marrona.

Annastasia with Elma.

Natasha with Amaryllis.

The last one was, the leader of the girls, Lilia and Lilac.

I think it's all been the strongest composition I ever thought of. I've guessed that if there's a debate between two people, you can definitely guess...

"I've guessed this, master must have paired me with this cheap girl." Pissed Elma.

Tomoe Garden, a special force formed by King Azaka under his leadership, with the execution of missions from behind the scenes. Opening the restaurant is one of the Tomoe Garden masks itself. With the leadership of an 18-year-old boy, the nine of them find several adventurers from the war victims who disappeared in the Engrayn Empire and decide to conduct an investigation.

They headed for a land with many rumors and world chaos rooted from there. From false identities, false personalities, to learning the whole terrain of the empire from, and many more things to watch out for.

Because of the current state of the world, they could only anticipate something dangerous to come. So it will not be surprising that the girls will be mentally exhausted and worried.

A silver-haired girl, gazed out at the window and sighed when she was at that place. It was Lilia.

It had been about a week since they had arrived in the Engrayn Empire, then made false relations and identias during that period of time. All members of Tomoe Garden now have their own work to cover their true identity, and of course also to make money for their current lives and finance the rent for the lodging they live in now.

Currently, Lilia was working as a low-class adventurer as well as being the command leader of the girls.

Before they left, Lilia picked up a slightly charred toast on the dining table. It was the bread left by Lilia herself while preparing breakfast for the girls, but she went straight to her room and stared at the outside world.

They went from the inn to a large and spacious building called the Adventurers Guild. They had already realized that in every city and country, the Adventurers Guild was no more like this.

"What will you choose today?" Ask Lilac.

They stared at a wall of boards containing a wide variety of missions from the easiest to the hardest.

"I think I should use it again..." Lilia smiled looking at the wall of the board.

"Cap the cup again?!" Lilac was astonished because Lilia almost every took a mission, she always played with guess origin.

"Yes! I don't care if we get rejected by the receptionists who are there for choosing a mission that doesn't fit our adventurer class. I will definitely force him and say that we are capable!"

Basically, Lilia and Lilac were low-class adventurers, namely the bottom E-class. However, Lilac could only sigh, she thought not because they would be rejected but because of the level of difficulty that made her so.

Then they went to the receptionist to get further processing for the mission.

According to the policy of a mission of an adventurer Guild, low-class adventurers may take missions with one level of difficulty on it. It was aimed so that adventurers could be faster to ascend to the next class. Therefore they both took the mission with difficulty 'D' even though they were only 'E' class'.

With that, after getting the process and further information from the receptionist, the two of them went to their intended place.
