Kanaya and Aldi paused for a moment their debate. Kanaya left the room and rushed to Widya in the toilet.
"Why you?" she asked shortly after Widya came out of the toilet.
"No idea, Nay. Suddenly my stomach was sick. I seem to catch a cold.
"Wait a minute, I'll get you some medicine."
Widya returned to her room, not long after which she showed up with medicine for her honey.
Just now that a pill had entered his throat, Widya suddenly vomited it back out.
"It looks like you have to go to the doctor" Naya said.
"It's okay. I just need to rest."
"Yes already, after dinner we took a break. Don't think about homework" Kanaya said.
Widya nodded in understanding.
"Widya is sick, maybe she is exhausted" Kanaya told Aldi during their dinner.
"Lantas, what do I care?"
"After dinner, let's go with him to the doctor."
"We? You just take her to the doctor."
"She's your wife too, Mas. What little do you not care about him?"
"How many times do I have to say, whenever my wife is just you!" firmly Aldi.
A few moments later there was the sound of objects falling from the direction of Widya's room. Kanaya left the dining table and rushed towards Widya's room. How surprised when he found Widya lying unconscious on the floor.
"Astaghfirullahaldzim! Widya!" his screeches.
"Mas! Mas Aldi! Help me!"
Hearing Kanaya's panicked cry, Aldi, who had been indifferent, rushed to leave the dining table and entered Widya's room.
"Widya fainted. We need to get him to the hospital now" Kanaya said.
"He must be just pretending."
"Look at his face, pale like this. How could he be kidding. Don't let anything happen to him, we'll both be blamed" Kanaya said.
Although he was actually lazy, Aldi had no choice but to follow his wife's wishes.
Arriving at the hospital.
"How's Widya doing, Doctor?" kanaya asked after the doctor came out of the examination room.
"Sorry, where's the patient's husband?"
"Ehm .. It's over there." Kanaya pointed her thumb towards Aldi who was sitting on the bench in front of one of the treatment rooms.
"You're the patient yourself?"
"I, um .. her brother."
"Today, the patient is pregnant. Even though his gestational age is still very young."
"Ha-ha-ha-mil, Doc?"
"true."
"The patient's addiction is very weak, which is why the patient is unconscious. As his family, I hope you can help keep his womb," said the doctor.
Kanaya. He did not know whether to feel happy or sad. On the one hand she was happy if Widya was pregnant with the child who would be Aldi's successor, but on the one hand her heart was broken. With just one sex Widya can get pregnant, does not that mean she is the one who does have fertility problems? Or is he barren?
"Widya is pregnant" Kanaya told Aldi.
"A-a-pa? Getting pregnant? That's not possible! I only did it once, it was outside my consciousness."
"What is impossible for God? Kun fayakun's. Whatever He wants, it will happen.
"No! She can't be pregnant! That baby is definitely not my son!"
"Plac!" A pretty loud slap had just landed on Aldi's face. This was the first time the two had married.
"The baby Widya is carrying is your son!" Kanaya.
"Where is he? Right now I'm gonna ask him to abort the contents."
"Istighfar, Mother. That means you kill!"
"The atmosphere was silent for a moment."
"Let Widya stay in our house until she gives birth."
"What do you mean?"
"For so long I wanted children in our marriage, didn't I? Maybe this is God's way of granting Mas's request, even though the baby didn't come from my own womb."
Aldi was silent for a moment, and thought.
"I have been patient enough to accept insinuations and taunts from my friends, now is the time to prove to them that I am not a barren man" he murmured.
"I hope the patient is not exhausted or too long a lot of thought" said the doctor."
"Yes, if you'll excuse me, good night."
Next morning.
For the sake of Widya's content, that morning Kanaya was willing to wake up early to do household chores that should be Widya's duty.
When he finished preparing breakfast that sound like knocking on the front door of his house.
"Who's visiting this early in the morning?" muttered.
Kanaya moved out of the dining room and approached the door. I was surprised to find out who the guest was that morning.
"L-I-Mom?"
Yes, the middle-aged woman who now stands in front of him is her mother-in-law who is often called Asti ma'am.
Aldi himself was his only child.
"Why are you so surprised, like seeing just one!" skink.
"Ti-ti-no, Mom. I'm just a little surprised this early in the morning that you've come to our house." Kanaya then grabbed the hand of her mother-in-law and kissed her full of reverence.
As the only son-in-law, Bu Asti often pressured Kanaya to quickly give him offspring. In fact, not infrequently he forced Aldi to divorce him if in ten years of their marriage, is never going to give him a grandchild.
"Let's go in, ma'am."
Kanaya takes over the bag from her mother-in-law and intends to take it to the guest room. Wait a minute, it has been almost a month this guest room in his house occupied by Widya. Where will her mother-in-law live? The only option is to clean the empty room near the kitchen and have Widya move from the guest room to the room.
"Wait a minute, I'll make you a drink" Kanaya said as she walked into the kitchen.
Not long after Aldi came out of his room. She was surprised to find her mother in the living room.
"Mother? When did Mom come? Why not tell me first?" his protest.
"Mom came to the mother's own daughter's house, why should you use the event excuse me."
"Where is Kanaya?" ask Aldi.
Not long after Kanaya emerged from the kitchen. He appears to be carrying a tray containing a cup of warm tea and snack setoples.
"How, have you shown any signs of pregnancy?" ask Asti ma'am.
A pair of Naya and Aldi's eyes sat at each other before Naya gave an answer.
"Be-be-lum, Mom. Maybe I should be more patient."
"Well, wait until when else? You think eight years is a minute?" his pedicab.
As usual, Naya and Aldi could only bow quietly when the woman asked about Naya's pregnancy. Again and again.
Suddenly there was the sound of the door creaking from the direction of the guest room.
"Well, besides you, who else lives in this house?" tanyakanya.
"Ehm .. it .. anu, ma'am. She's Widya, my distant relative. We invited him to stay here because he had no family or place to live. His family was killed in a fire" Naya said.
The chatter from the living room forced Widya to approach him.
"Mom" he said, nodding politely at Asti's mother.
"You're married?" ask Asti ma'am.
Of course Widya was confused to answer that question. I don't know what's on his mind, when suddenly an answer comes out of his mouth.
"I'm married, Mom. I am now pregnant, but my husband died in the fire.
"Why should Widya tell her about her pregnancy to her mother?" inner Kanaya.
Hearing Widya's confession if she was two-bodied, somehow Asti's attitude suddenly turned friendly.
"Let's sit here, pregnant women don't get well too long standing." Bu Asti held Widya's hand and invited her to sit right next to him.
"Naya, make him some warm tea."
Although a little upset, Naya chose to do the mother's orders.
"Choose a wife like this, can get pregnant and give offspring," said Asti when Naya returned from the kitchen.
"Ehm .. breakfast is ready." Naya quickly switched the conversation. What made her uncomfortable was when her mother-in-law started discussing pregnancy.
"You eat a lot. Remember, there is a baby in your stomach that you have to feed as well" said Ms. Asti as she poured a spoonful of vegetables and a piece of fried chicken into Widya's plate. The treatment he had never done to Kanaya.
"Oh yeah, Nay. Buy pregnant women's milk for Widya so that the mother and baby are healthy" Asti said again.
"Yes, Mom," said Naya. Of course with a grouchy face.
"If I were Widya's current position, would you treat me the same way?" ask Naya.
"It seems like whenever you can never get pregnant. Or maybe you're barren," ketus bu Asti.
"Nonsense? Am I really barren?"
inner Naya. Suddenly his chest felt so tight.
