THE TIRED EYES

Episode 5's

    I went home straight to lie in my bed because my body ached after accompanying Rafa all day. I forgot I still had to go see my dad and apologize to him for yesterday's incident. I also made coffee for him. Afternoon coffee is it not a problem? No matter what my dad likes coffee. I also delivered coffee at my father's work on the 2nd floor.

“ This father is Abirah, I brought coffee to my father” said as I walked into his office room. Dad's still focused on his computer, so busy he is. I kept the coffee on his desk and I walked to his side. Then I say my apology.

“Dad sorry well yesterday Abirah made dad angry. Abirah just can't get far with mom and dad. And thank you also for cancelling my study in Singapore”

My father stopped his work and looked at me and he smiled and said

“Pad's son is now big. Good luck and make dad proud of you”

“Oke dad” reply me happily

“Tomorrow daddy no business trip. I'll be back next month. So you take good care of yourself. And don't forget to come to college next week to collect files. I've talked to the campus to take care of you later.”

“Thank you Dad, but Abirah will miss with dad” my sad expression makes dad sad too

“Don't be sad baby, dad will bring a gift for Abirah when you go home.”

“Really Dad? Okay dad be careful yah and abirah will wait for dad.” I'd be happy if Dad wanted to give me a gift.

“OK now you go study there or go down to help mom and oma cook.”

“OK dad….Jafa where is Dad?”

“Jafa is in opa” room

I went down to see Jafa and opa

“Opa sleeping” reply Jafa

Oh god from earlier I told you that Opa did not hear it.

“Where's the card, brother? Jafa likes nuts.” Jafa's voice approached me.

“Eh it, has finished” reply me

“Not that big brother doesn't like peanuts?”

“Not, not the sister who ate. Brother sister who ate yesterday” obviously me

“Yah already sister went help mom first” I also ran leaving my sister in Opa room.

    I went to help mom and Ima who were cooking for dinner. Oh well we are indeed rich people, but we do not hire helpers because we ourselves are able to do it even though my mother is also a business person but she can arrange time for family. Mom and Dad are my role models to always work hard, if they are far away from me how can I stand. So I always wanted to be around them forever.

    The next day I went with Rafa's family to take Rafa to the airport. I could feel rafa's mother looking sad to let go of rafa. But his mother still showed a smile so that rafa did not grieve. Before the flight hours we took time to eat breakfast together. After breakfast, we took rafa to check in. Rafa hugged her mom and dad after that she came up to me and gave me a gift,

“This is for you. It's a necklace, you should always wear it until I get back. And do not forget to take care of yourself for me and also wait for me to come home and I will give you news if I have reached” said rafa as if in this world I am the most meaningful to him.

“Alright I will wait for you” My reply that made me cry took off his departure. He left until he was no longer seen. I just stood petrified.

“Let's go home” take rafa's mother who hugs me.

    I followed them in the car. In the car rafa mother explained that later in the future they will always go out of the country for business so I will be difficult to find them at home. They told me this so I wouldn't keep looking for them if I came to their house. They also drove me home. And they came into the house and talked to my parents. I was so tired and I wanted to sleep because for a while in the afternoon I also had to take my father to the airport. I went upstairs and fell asleep.
