The Stupid Shaft

The Stupid Shaft
A NAME

"Where have you been? Dania was looking for Big Brother since then." asked Dania annoyed, she did tell the truth. This day, her brother had already disappeared and had not left a message.

"Son't been here since" replied Deta casually.

His eyes still continued to look at the lovers who passed by in front of him. If that day never came. She may be the happiest woman in the world.

It did not feel like a tear dripping on his cheek, representing his heart that had so far soaked the pain of having to let his first love run aground right on their wedding day.

"Sister?" Dania clasped Deta's hand as soon as she felt the water droplets in her hand.

Deta quickly wiped her tears and turned to look at Dania who seemed worried about seeing her brother's condition.

"Sister's fine, Dania. How about we get some ice cream?" proposed Deta, he also wanted to cool his mind for a moment.

Ricky's apartment door opened after he entered the code. After Deta's departure, Ricky chooses to stay in the apartment. He wants to live alone without anyone bothering him. That way, he could freely think of Deta as he pleased.

As far as the eye could see, there was only silence inside that luxurious apartment. Other than Ricky, no one has ever set foot in his apartment.

Ricky walks into the kitchen and opens the fridge. There's nothing interesting there. He closed the fridge again and reached into his pants pocket to pick up the phone.

"Hallo, where are you?" ask Ricky to someone across the line.

"I'm at home. What's up, Ky?" answer the guy Ricky called.

"Next week you'll be married. Come on, let's have a bachelorette party!"

The loud thump of music and the pungent smell of alcohol immediately welcomed the arrival of Ricky and Jerry.

Next week is Jerry's wedding day with Syafitri, that's why Ricky invites Jerry to have a bachelorette party with him and also Nino.

Ricky's eyes look around looking for a figure of Nino who looks faint because of the dim light of the lamp.

"Hey, Brother! Here." Nino waved her hand to Ricky and Jerry, who were immediately answered by Jerry.

Ricky and Jerry approached Nino who was sitting with several bottles lined up at the table.

"You drunk, No?" ricky asked who smelled alcohol from Nino's mouth.

"No!" refute Nino while patting Ricky on the shoulder who is now sitting next to her with a cold face.

"I want to have fun, but you're drunk before the party starts." - Ricky, annoyed to see Nino's thing just get worse.

Drinking alcohol and getting drunk is now Ricky's new habit, the reason being the departure of Deta. He thought that if he was drunk, Deta would disappear from his memory.

Indeed, when drunk someone will forget everything and will be himself. However, it was only for a moment. The pain that you want to forget is even more felt when awareness has returned.

Ricky picked up one of the bottles on the table and gulped it down like a thirsty man.

"Hey... hey... hey.... What are you doing?" Nino who was half drunk immediately grabbed the bottle of drink that was in Ricky's hands.

"I want to forget it. I want to forget it ..," muttered Ricky, tears accompanying every word that came out of his lips.

Vigorous footsteps and carefree laughter echoed throughout the house that looked more like a castle.

"Where are you guys?" The voice of someone shocked Deta and Dania who had just entered the house.

They turned their heads and looked at Angga who was going down the stairs and looked at the two of them with a sharp gaze.

Deta smiled and rubbed Dania's hair. "You get some rest, yeah, Dania!"

"Are you waiting for me?" asked Deta, still with a face that seemed to have done nothing wrong.

"You think?" Angga asked back, his hands were already folded on his chest.

"Hmm. I don't know. Maybe yes, maybe not" replied Deta with a raised shoulder.

"Did you go to write about her again?" Anger began to overwhelm Angga.

"Can you be a little calmer? I just went to get some fresh air. Don't exaggerate!" sumpul Deta, he immediately stepped past Angga. However, Angga immediately withdrew his hand.

Their views met, but the same as always. Deta felt nothing against Angga. The warmth he felt as he looked at Ricky, he did not feel as he looked at Angga. The man who has been her husband for five years.

"My jaw! You wrote about her again, didn't you?" asked Angga again, this time he clasped Deta's hand firmly.

"What do you want? I've been with you for five years and you still doubt my feelings for her?" Deta asked Angga who looked doubtful.

"MOMMY!!!" A little boy ran up and hit Deta's feet.

Deta looked down and saw that adorable face was staring at her, hoping to get a hug or a kiss as usual.

"Cash, Darling!" In an instant, the handsome boy was already in the arms of Deta.

"I miss you, Mommy." said the boy, one kiss landed on Deta's cheek that was no longer chubby.

"I'm only gone for a minute and you've missed me?" deta asked, his hand pinched the boy's nose.

"Yes. I leally miss you, Mommy." said the boy, the way he spoke sounded adorable because he could not pronounce the letter R correctly.

"Rayyan, go back to your room! I want to talk to him." Angga has touched Rayyan's body and will lower the child from the sling Deta.

"NO, DADDY! NO!!!" rayyan shouted, as Angga forcefully pulled her and handed Rayyan over to the nanny.

"You're being silly, Ga." Let's go, Deta, he can't stop thinking about Angga's attitude towards Rayyan.

"Follow me!" pinta Angga while pulling Deta's hand.

"What's this?" Angga threw a book on his desk.

Deta looked at the book at a glance and changed to look at Angga who now looks agitated. "This is my novel. Where'd you get it?"

Angga picked up the book he had thrown earlier. "This novel tells me about him, right?" angga asked, his hand lifting the book into the air.

"I don't understand what you mean." elak Deta, he's already standing and is leaving Angga.

"Whoever reads this story will know if you're writing about Ricky in it." said Angga, stopping Deta from leaving the room.

DUARR!!!

Deta felt something in her heart. He had not heard that name for a long time. A name that always makes him feel sad and happy. A name that was permanently imprinted on his heart.

'Sir Ricky Sanjaya.'
