The Strory Of Mr. Rigels

The Strory Of Mr. Rigels
Chapter 1: The New World

Mid-summer, 7th month of 1815.

Frieden Village.

"Rigel let's eat."

A woman's voice was heard behind my door.

For a moment, I looked at the door and ignored it and focused on reading the book I was holding.

A few weeks ago, I was allowed to lend my father a book.

My father was a Baron noble who served as commander of a military battalion.

As his son, I was always required to be a militaristic leader, even though I was only eight years old.

"Rigel quickly came out, everyone was waiting."

I was still in my place, sitting on the floor covered in carpet while leaning on the side of the bed, reading one page at a time.

The door opened and a woman came in.

"Rigel's dinner time. Let's go to the dining room now, everyone is waiting."

"So Mom, a few more pages I'll be done" I said, looking at the book.

In front of me was a mature woman standing in a noble suit that looked simple but still graceful.

She was my mother, an adult woman with long silver-colored hair braided with sideways short bangs and purple-colored eyeballs, and her name was....

[Annie Plumsen]

"Rigel, reading it can be continued later, the important thing is now we eat first, do you want to fight Mother?" my mother said with a face that looked upset.

Seeing my mother's gaze, I immediately took cover behind the book I was holding.

"B-well Mom, but look at me I'm trying to understand a few words here." I pointed to one of the words in the book. "Look Mom there are some terms I don't understand yet."

My mother's topic of conversation was realized after I tried to show her the book I was holding.

My mother saw him and tried to carry me and put me in his lap and with him sat on the mattress. He took the book out of my hand and tried to explain it to me.

"Well, where do you not understand?."

I smiled and pointed at him.

"By here, here and here, I don't understand."

"All right....."

Bruks....

"Eh..."

The book I studied was closed and immediately placed to the right where my mother and I were sitting.

then he grabbed my arms, lifted me from his lap and moved me out of my bed and rolled me out of my room.

"Eh..why Mom, why we-"

"People are waiting for us in the dining room.it is rude to make them wait," he said firmly

"B-good Mother."

We walked down the corridor of the house, we lived in a mession that was not too large, not terraced, but had enough area for some people to live in.

My mother held my hand while heading to the dining room.

***

In the dining room, I saw three people who had been sitting at the dining table. My mother and I caught up with them and immediately sat down at the dinner table.

"Hoi boy from wherever you are, we're waiting for you."

[Benny Plumsen]

That was his name, his person sitting next to me with a glaring face, he greeted me.

A person with silver hair with a layered undercut model with black eyes.

"I'm sorry Brother Ben, I was studying" I replied in a soft tone.

"Don't be too hard on him, brother, Rigel is here anyway."

"Curtain.you don't spoil him."

"Sister Benny, I don't spoil him."

[Jennie Plumsen]

The older sister who was in front of me stood up for me, her face was pretty much like Mom's with long, silver-black rope braid. Her eyes look like my mother's.

"Surely Brother Jen, I'm already here, so we'll just start dinner."

"What did you say Rigel!"

"Hiks...."

"Ehem... "

My father was buzzing, and the conversation between me and Brother Ben came to a standstill.

[Bernard Plumsen]

My father's name, Plumsen's family head.

"Have no fuss at the table, the waiter helps the meal."

"Good sir."

My father was sitting between us, wearing a brown noble suit with a pretty attractive look

Beside her right was my mother and my sister and beside her was my older brother with me.

I felt an aura of military decisiveness in my father, he was a man with a moustache with a short soft blackish brown and a bangs in the middle, his eyes black.

A few moments slowly bring food and put it on the table, after which we one by one eat the food available at the table.

While we were eating each other's meals, my father started talking to us

"Benny, you've completed your guardianship education. So I hope you can be an officer the family can be proud of."

Brother Ben swallowed his food and answered my father's wishes.

"That must be Dad, before vacationing here, I've got the task of leading a company on the border of the kingdom of Haitofia and the Republic of Aramandia."

The atmosphere of the entire dining table looks silent, Mother and Sister Jen feel anxious listening to him.

"It's okay, brother, you'll be on duty there."

"Mother's still worried about the return of the war."

"No worries, Jennie. Right now the conditions on the border are still conducive."

My father reiterated brother Ben's words.

"Since the war two years ago, our kingdom's relationship with the Republic of Aramandia has been difficult. But it's still fine, our government has signed an armistice deal with Aramandia."

My father glanced at Brother Ben and smiled slightly. "If war happens.

Benny can definitely beat them, I'm sure of that."

"Thank you Dad," said Brother Ben, bowing slightly.

My father went back, this time his gaze went to Kak Jennie who ate food.

"Jennie, even if it's still a year and a half away, you'll graduate from the academy in town. Have you made plans for the future."

"Yes dad, after graduation I want to find a job in the city."

"Good, your intentions are good."

Brother Jen smiled gently in response to my father's response, but my father went back.

"But better after graduation you get married."

"Darling!, don't say anything like that. You should pay attention to Jennie's feelings."

"It's okay mom. If that's Dad's wish, I'm ready to do it."

My mother replied to Brother Jen. "But your feelings are much more important."

Brother Jennie held my mother's hand. "It's okay Mom."

Jen's sister looked at me. "i'll support Dad as much as I can, so I hope I can make Dad happy."

My father nodded. "Good Jennie."

Hearing that I was a little speechless and thought to myself Why would Sister Jen accept Dad's request, whether or not the women in this world have any emotions in them.

"Rigel why are you daydreaming."

I instantly came to my senses and looked at Dad.

"Aa. No. Dad."

"Rigel! keep your manners!"

"Yes Brother Ben!"

"Rigel you don't just learn, you also have to learn about fighting as soon as possible."

"But my Dad"

"Rigel!, you don't argue with me!"

"But brother Ben, I .. "I said with a gloomy expression.

"Sister Benny don't be so hard on her, she's still a kid" Jennie said.

"Dear, Benny. You guys don't force Rigel to learn something like that, let him learn a lot more" my mom explained.

"But Mother."

"Benny calm down" said my father. "Rigel, however, you must learn battle, also if you can magic. If you want, your brother Benny can teach you."

"B-well Dad," I replied lethargicly.

I could only look down on my father's selfish desires.

Then after all the family members finished eating dinner, everything returned to their respective activities.

I went to my room to continue reading.

***

After being in the room. I walked up to my study table, sat there, pulled out two books under the shelf, and read them.

The books I have today are mostly those of my father that I borrowed from his study.

When I was six years old, I asked to be taught to read and write, and when I was proficient, I went to my father's work to borrow books.

But while I was there, I found only archives and documents and dozens of books related to military and magic. In my mind at that time, I thought that my father was the type of person who had a muscular brain.

I turned the page of the book to continue reading on the next page.

Fortunately, I still have a book I can read. The only book I could read at that time was a history book. At least I can get to know this world through its history.

From the two books of History I can understand the world starting from the geography of the region, the races that live in this world, the development of social-political and economic to the development of witchcraft and technology

For the geography of the region, there are three continents, namely the continent named Iruva which is located in the west, the continent of Hashia in the south, and in the east of the Aneric continent.

Still each continent lived in a different race....

In the continent of Iruva to the west the majority of races filled human and partly demi-human while the east lived elf race.

The Hashia continent was inhabited by the Demihuman race and was inhabited anerically by dwarves, demihumans, and humans.

For the mosnter themselves they live on almost three continents, but they live in dungeon dungeons scattered on each continent.

The mosnters were not transmigrants like other races, as they preferred to live settled in dongeons.

For myself, I lived in the land of Iruva, more precisely the kingdom of Heitofia, the kingdom that was in the western part of the continent.

One of the great Kingdoms was built with the fifth largest area in terms of the monarchical system of government, with the king as the head of government assisted by a prime minister

For the social life of the people is similar to the life of the people in the old world during the era of the first industrial revolution.

Speaking of the industrial revolution, the,

This world has experienced it for the past fifty years until now.

I was surprised to find out, though,

remembering what I read and saw all this time was just magic and strange creatures like wyverns.

Knowing the existence of technology made me think to learn more.

The technology I now know from books is the steam engine, which has been used extensively.

However, since there were no books related to the technology my father had, I tried to buy them.

But a book that contains technology is a book that is a little difficult to obtain for ordinary people even Baron nobles like me.

To be able to get the book, the only way is to study at the Royal Academy, in the Royal capital.
