The Strory Of Mr. Rigels

The Strory Of Mr. Rigels
Chapter 10: Viewing

Liberty City

The largest iron-producing city in the Kingdom in the northeast.

With most of the city is mountainous rocks, making most of its inhabitants search as miners.

Not only iron is mined here, but rocks and sand are also mined here. Even the needs of building materials are usually supplied from this City. This made the city very important for the kingdom of Haitofia.

The sun had long since set, the darkness became the scene behind the window of the train I was riding on. Two hours later I was in the train, accompanied by Rigel I looked at the window. Although far and dark I see the expanse of trees.

"Young master."

My eyes turned to Sebastian calling me.

"This is young master" Sebastian gave me a glass of warm tea.

"Thank you." I sipped the tea while looking out.

"Young master." Sebastian called me again, I looked.

"What's Sebastian."

"Are you Nervous? If there's anything else you can ask me."

"Thank you, but-"

Suddenly the train I was riding stopped, I sat giving a glass to Sebastia and then I immediately opened the window to look out.

When the window of my carriage slid, cold air passed through my body. It has entered spring but the cold is still here.

I from inside the carriage looked in front of the carriage, someone from afar waving a red flag. There were also several armed soldiers in addition to the locomotive that was stopping.

Shortly after, my father came.

"You two come with me, we get off here."

I asked. "But the city is still"

"No talking, get down quickly."

Sebastian and I nodded silently and followed my father down from the carriage.

We got off the train and walked next to the train that stopped. With Sebastian behind me and my father in front of me, I walked towards the locomotive of the train. And when we got in front of the locomotive, I was surprised to see what happened.

"Woe... It's a big wedding"

"yes Young Master, this must have been the work of the wyvern troops of the Republic," said sebastian.

The large crater closed the railway line, and several soldiers and construction workers tried to repair the railway.

I walked around the crater, but something made me uncomfortable while walking in that place.

"Young Master, do you feel it" Sebastian whispered while holding a Riffle rifle.

"Bright... "

Some of the soldiers looked at us, and I could hear their words.

"What are children doing here."

"I'm sure civil society has been evacuated."

"Look at that kid holding a gun."

I was silent to the reaction of those who saw the two of us and tried to remain silent, we continued the march into the city.

"Sebastian, no need to ignore."

"Good Young Master"

In this place the lighting is very minimal, only lanterns and flashlights are a source of light. The most prominent of all the lights in the darkness here is the reddish glow accompanied by smoke that looks far enough ahead of me.

***

After a long walk in the darkness, I finally arrived in front of the fortress.

Many soldiers were stationed here, some of them set up tent tents and also put other equipment items here.

Just as I was about to enter the City gate a soldier came up to me and Sebastian.

"O you two, this isn't a safe place, where are your parents?"

"We're with-"

Not done talking the soldier pulled my hand and tried to take me away from the gate, Sebastian behind me was about to stop him.

"Wait!"

My father's voice made the soldier look back.

Seeing the figure of my father in front of him, he immediately gave a military attitude of respect to my father.

"Colonel Bernard."

Colonel?, I thought when I heard it.

What father has such a high rank in the military.

My father saluted me too, "let them go, they come with me."

"But the colonel."

"This is a soldier's order."

The Prajuri let us go, saluted and continued with the task.

"Sebastian let's go inside."

"Good young master." We entered the city.

Looking at the state of Liberty as I passed through every building, several buildings were destroyed and burned, far away from the fire still visible light.

"This city is destroyed" I murmured.

***

I followed my father to a building, this building has a fairly large hall.

There are a lot of wounded soldiers here, I see the appalling condition of these soldiers, the doctors and healers pacing around to treat the wounded soldiers.

"Dad what are we doing here?, instead of telling Daddy's boss."

"There's something I want to make sure of this first" replied my father.

Making sure of something, what to make sure, I walked behind my father with Sebastian.

My father stopped and talked to one of the nurses there.

"Okay, you're through here" said the nurse.

The nurse led us through several wounded soldiers and out into the other room.

We came to a room wide enough to see, I walked through the door and saw many bodies covered in blood lying on the floor.

"Dad why are we here?" I said that I was a little disturbed by the atmosphere in this room.

"You come with Rigel."

Sebastian approaching. "Young Master, I think this is the room where the dead were put."

I returned his words. "So these are all corpses."

"Yes young master" replied Sebastian.

We both followed my father walking between these rows of corpses. The amount of merena is quite a lot if seen, I feel a little creepy looking at it

My father stopped again and spoke to someone, this time with an officer who was wounded in the head and hands.

While talking, Sebastian and I stared at each other around us.

"It's certain that they were all victims of the previous battle."

"Maybe Young Master, from what I see it seems most of the bodies here are from the military."

"Maybe you're right, but if this is okay, I feel bad."

"Don't worry Young Master, as long as Young Master keeps looking at your feet, then everything is safe."

"Well, what do you mean."

"Rigel's here."

My father called me, and I came to him. When I saw his face, he looked a little moody.

Sebastian and I followed him, and we stopped at a body wrapped in cloth in front of us.

"What's the matter, Dad, why are we stopping?"

"Rigel, you try to open this cloth" said my father, pointing at the cloth covering the corpse lying on the floor.

Who is this Dad?"

"Just open it."

"Ehh. i-yes Dad."

I knelt on one leg and shakily opened the cloth.

"Huh!! .. that" shocked Sebastian.

My eyes widened, my mouth widened as I looked at the figure behind the cloth.

"Sir .. Brother Benny."

My brother's lying stiff. His face was paled, traces of blood were on his forehead and mouth.

Sebastian and I were shocked.

"He was killed when Republican wyverns attacked yesterday."

I was silent to see my brother, my father continued. "He's a good boy, it's a pity that he has to die so soon."

"What is this you want to show me." I looked at my father in anger.

I stood up, then jumped to punch my father's right cheek and it worked. My father took my fists for a moment, and it made me want to repeat it again.

"Young Master!! Stop that."

Just as I was about to do it again, Sebastian swiftly restrained my body.

"Take off me Sebastian, I have to teach this guy a lesson."

"Relax Young Master!!, he's Master's Father, jang-"

"I don't care!!, I don't care."

"Rigel," said my father with a gloomy expression.

My father immediately gave me a fist around my stomach. It made me fall, but Sebastian immediately supported me and I began to become unconscious from the fist, eventually falling unconscious.
