Evelyn's Fear

Willy snarled inwardly, how could Evelyn again accept Devan after what the man had done.

Their past is too complicated, and after Evelyn feels a painful life, why is Evelyn still returning to Devan, where the man is the beginning of her problems.

Willy clasped his hand firmly as if he had felt Evelyn's heartache, was made a complacent, and was driven away from his family, because of her pregnancy.

Love?.

To hell with love, Devan doesn't deserve Evelyn.

And he will prove that if he is better than Devan, of course he can give real happiness to Evelyn, not just a struggle that will not work.

Willy closed his eyes when he saw his phone ringing, without waiting for long Willy immediately raised the call "Holla Dad.."

"Yess Boy?"

"You got me a mother?" Willy rolled his lazy eyes when he heard Daren's words.

"Finding Mom for you is so hard, I'm now going to convince someone to be your mother."

"Really?"

"Yes, and hang up because I'm trying to persuade her."

"OK tell me the progress every day, and if you don't make it, I'll go find it myself.." Willy let out a tired sigh the boy kept asking for mother, but finding a mother for Daren was very difficult, maybe if only finding a wife for him would be easy, he said, many of the women who approached Willy even shamelessly offered themselves up, but looking for a mother who sincerely loved Daren, Willy was not sure all the women were capable of doing so.

But if it's Evelyn, Willy's sure he can. Especially after knowing that the woman had also been a mother.

"What is Devan doing now?" Willy looked at Astra who was still standing behind him, from the man as well as Willy knowing all the information about Devan and Evelyn.

"Mr Devan has transferred all of her shares on behalf of Miss Evelyn."

Willy nodded in fact he was quite salute to Devan's efforts, the man was not playing around in keeping Evelyn by his side, but Willy wasn't sure Devan could succeed with his plan and ended up hurting Evelyn again, wasn't that bad.

Willy grinned, the information he got was very accurate, even for Devan who purposely hid the fact that he gave all his shares on Evelyn's behalf silently, but Willy he could figure it out easily.

"But regarding the wedding documents I don't think Miss Evelyn knew about it" Astra added the information that made Willy frown.

"How can you?"

Devan saw Evelyn sitting on the lounge chair daydreaming, since Evelyn had been quieter since dinner yesterday.

The woman seemed to be dodging him, what was the matter with Evelyn?.

"You daydreaming?" Evelyn looked up and smiled.

"Have you finished the bath?."

"Hmmm.." Devan just got out of the bathroom and finished his bath. "Is there anything you want to talk about?" Devan sat down next to Evelyn, then clasped her hand. "Since then you have looked restless.."

Evelyn bit her lower lip. "Is mister Willy an important client?"

Devan frowned "Not a client, rather Mr. Willy is an investor of my company." and of course he's important, because Devan needs Willy to get rid of Daddy Diana.

"Are you going to go bankrupt if he withdraws his investment?"

"Not so, my company is pretty stable, and there's actually another reason I need Mr. Willy." Evelyn breathed a sigh of relief, at least if Willy withdrew his investment, Devan would not lose.

"If so, is it okay for you to cancel the cooperation?" Devan chuckles.

"No, it's not like that.."

Evelyn gulped her saliva, right shouldn't she care. But why does this discomfort continue to trickle him, and why Evelyn is afraid if Devan finds out if he had been in contact with Willy, even if only limited to his tenants.

Devan knows his job first, so why is he afraid?, not just Willy, but many other men who may suddenly appear in his life.

Suddenly the shadow of Devan's face that looks disappointed approached him, Evelyn's heart was more chaotic, why this feeling suddenly appeared.

Wouldn't it be nice if Devan got angry and threw it away..? He is the bad guy, of course the dark past will follow him, and the longer Devan will not survive with that reality.

Evelyn had prepared everything, she was really going to leave when her contract with Devan ended, but why remembering the open path scared Evelyn.

What fear is he feeling now?.

Evelyn wanted to deny if she was afraid of losing Devan, it was impossible, right?.

"You're daydreaming again?."

Evelyn shook her head "I want to go home.. Can we go home tomorrow?" Evelyn doesn't want to see Willy again, though maybe Devan doesn't care about his reality. But Evelyn felt that Willy would not let go easily.

"You sure?, it's only day four.."

"I want to go home.." Devan sighed, unable to question what Evelyn meant, "Alright, but tomorrow we have to visit someone first." Evelyn didn't ask much who they should meet, all she had in mind was Devan had already agreed to go home.

Even Evelyn had forgotten her intention to dare to meet her master's people, let Evelyn do that one day if she was already unattached to Devan.

"Now we sleep, it's night.. Or do you want to do it just once?" Devan blinked his eyes until Evelyn chuckled. "Or twice I'm still strong, even three times." Yes, Evelyn believes that, Evelyn already knows Devan's stamina is good. Somehow Devan was tireless, even Evelyn had never seen the man sport, then how could he be so strong in working on it.

What Devan said was just a joke, in fact they only slept with each other hugging, Evelyn even seemed comfortable sleeping in Devan's arms, until dawn rose and revealed a bias of light that reached the window of their room, and instantly made Evelyn wake up and blink her eyes. Evelyn smiled sadly how she could be so comfortable in Devan's arms that she even slept very well, what if she got used to it and was reluctant to leave, This is what she had avoided and Evelyn had been afraid of all this time, feeling comfortable and refusing to leave.

"Good morning." Evelyn looked up and Devan kissed her forehead. "Will be ready to meet someone.."

Evelyn wakes up to sit herself down "Who are we going to meet?" Evelyn looked at Devan with a frown on her forehead.

Devan smiled gently. "Prepare we're leaving now."

Evelyn wanted to ask more, but Devan pushed her back for her to immediately go to the bathroom.

Devan continued to hold Evelyn's hand throughout the journey, and occasionally kissed her.

Evelyn glanced at the street, then turned back to Devan "Where are we really?" Evelyn's heart was pounding, obviously, even though Evelyn had only once passed this road Evelyn knew where this road was headed, because indeed she intended to keep it in memory as strong as possible, one day I will be able to go back to see her parents.

Devan smiled until the car they were riding stopped right in front of Evelyn's parents' house.

Evelyn stared in disbelief at Devan, how could she know about this.. Then Evelyn thought Devan might have followed her back then.. What Devan will do.

"I'm not following you, if you want to know.. But I found out where you were going back then, thanks to the power of money I was able to find the taxi driver who took you, and find out where you were going." Evelyn was speechless as Devan opened the door and pulled her out.

"We face this, I'll get you back." Devan said confidently, then pulled Evelyn into the courtyard of her parents' home.
