The Story At Dusk And Rain

The Story At Dusk And Rain
Section 2

It has been almost half a year that our family has been doing activities like any other family. Everything was fine, the warmth was still felt, the countenance was still bright, laughter was still heard in the hallway of the house. Plus it was Kino's seventh birthday, and happiness and joy filled the air inside the house. Our house feels warm, birthday songs are sung together, with the light of birthday cake candles as its main lighting. Kino looked very happy, her eyes looked very different. It was a pity, it was the highlight of his last happy eyes. After the lights were turned on again, father and mother looked at each other. I know what that look means, and I know what's going to happen. Holy hooch!. The word kept spinning in my mind.

That night, mom and dad started the conversation.

" Yona, Kin. Mom and dad wanted to say something,"

"Tell me!"

Kino answered the father's words with a cheerful face. How could. How could they talk about this. Please look at Kino's face! Dad, mom, don't say anything hurtful to Kino on a special day for her! Please! My mind is fucked up, how should I handle Kino later.

"Dad and mom will move out of town from tomorrow, you will be staying with aunt Rhea. Aunt Rhea will be moving here from tomorrow!"

"What!?"

Holy hooch! Really am. They really said it. Inexhaustible. Dad, mommy, please look at Kino! Look at his eyes! Highlight Kino's eyes changed, completely changed. It was no longer the look in the eyes of happiness he showed. His tears were spilled, they could no longer be contained. He just fell silent, shut his mouth tightly, walked backwards, slowly left the room, ran towards his room. Huhh... What the fuck is this ? I can't hold back anymore.

"What'sthis? Is this a gift for Kino? Is this the surprise you're talking about?" ask me with a trembling voice.

"Yon-a,"

"How come? Aren't you guys thinking about Kino's feelings? What are you guys thinking!? Look Kino! Look at his eyes! Don't you see, he was so happy! How can you say such a painful thing on her birthday!" I shouted at them.

"Yona.please understand..!" said mother slowly.

"You want me to understand? Well of course I'll understand, do it! Go and do what you want! Come back if you remember us! The door of the house will always be open" I said as I walked away.

Kino, what about him? What am I supposed to do? I dare not look at him, I dare not knock on his room. My tears could not be held back, just crying in silence, watching Kino sob from outside her room. They didn't even try to calm Kino down or meet her. That night I couldn't sleep at all, trying to stop crying and understand the situation. But I'm just an eleven-year-old boy who can't manage his own emotions.

The next day, my father and mother put the goods in the car and say goodbye to Rhea's aunt. Kino is still in her room, the situation is more difficult than I thought. I just looked at them from inside the house, without saying goodbye, without waving my hand, without a word spoken from my mouth. Mom and Dad got into the car, and from the car she said,

"Please take care of the children, Rhea."

"Sure, brother."

The car started to run, leaving the yard. It slowly began to go invisible, then disappeared at the intersection. Hhh.. I breathed for the umpteenth time.

"Have you eaten?" ask aunt Rhea

"From me, it's better to worry about Kino. He hasn't eaten since last night." I said flat.

I got out of my seat, left aunt in the living room alone, walking towards Kino's room. I still did not dare to look at him, rather I would not be able to hold back the cry if I looked at him. Get better Kino.
