Chapter 52

Everyone is waiting in front of Johan's room. A family doctor was checking Johan's condition.

Arnis sat apart from the others along with Alza. They were worried because they were afraid something might happen to Johan.

Jesly, furious after learning Alza is Johan's grandson, settles down to meet Alza.

"Congratulations! You made it into this family again!"

Arnis glared sharply. He couldn't take it if someone hurt his daughter.

"So talk! Alza is my daughter! And thou... You are only the daughter-in-law in this house!" Arnis stood face to face with Jesly.

"Alright, Ma. We don't have to serve him." Alza broke the debate.

"What's this?" Arion came to the women. He glanced at Alza. He saw a diamond ring on Alza's ring finger. Could it be a sign of proof that Alza and Argan's relationship is leading to something serious? Arion couldn't answer.

"Jesly, don't make a fuss here! Let's go!" Arion pulls Jesly's hand away from Alza.

After the couple's departure, Falia came over.

"Grandfather is awake. You can meet him."

Arnis nodded in persuading Alza. Despite feeling heavy, Alza still stepped into Johan's room.

Johan's eyes had opened perfectly. He was only shocked after hearing the fact about his granddaughter that he threw away 25 years ago.

The sultan, standing next to Johan's bed, invites Arnis and Alza to come closer.

"Pa... Sorry if I did this. This must have surprised Papa. But, I want to be with my family." The Sultan knelt in front of Johan.

"Please accept me and my family..."

Arnis and Alza stared at the sad Sultan.

"Mas... Don't do this!" Arnis asked the Sultan to stand up.

Johan turned his face away not wanting to see his son blaspheme at him. "Get all of you out!" That's all Johan said.

"I want a break!"

In disappointment, Alza, Sultan, and Arnis exit Johan's room.

"Give Grandpa Johan some time." Argan tried to cheer Alza up.

"Yes, Bang. Let's go home, Bang. The atmosphere is no longer good."

"Yes, you said yes to your mom and dad."

Alza nodded. He met Arnis and the Sultan.

"Pa, Mama. Maybe the time is not right. Me and Bang Argan go home first!"

"Lho, you haven't eaten yet. My mom prepared everything for you. At least eat first!"

"That's what your mama said, son. Eat before you go" persuaded the Sultan.

Finally Alza and Argan accept Arnis' invitation. They eat in silence and mind wanders each.

Alza felt bad for making Johan sick because of his presence. Alza, however, did not give up. Dreaming of having a full family, and now he will get it.

Alza had not seen Arnis and the Sultan in a few days. From that day on the Sultan continued to try to give understanding to Johan to be able to accept Alza as his grandson.

And after days, Arnis and the Sultan returned to meet Alza at his house.

"Join the company, son." The Sultan's words made Alza look at him confused.

"I mean Papa?"

"Work in Nusantara Group. Maybe that way you can melt grandpa's heart."

Alza glanced at Argan. He felt he needed an opinion.

"I think that's a pretty good idea" said Argan.

"Are you okay with me coming out of your office?"

Argan laughed a little. "It's certainly not what. I'd be very happy if you worked there. You can definitely melt Grandpa Johan's heart."

"Mama and papa have agreed. We'll give you the whole company."

"Eh?!" Alza was shocked.

"You will be the largest shareholder in Nusantara Group."

Alza doesn't understand why her parents did this.

After talks that day with Alza, Arnis and the Sultan were determined to meet Johan and say their plan would be to hand over all their shares to their daughter.
