🖌Sick

Lydya had just come home from the supermarket to buy a parcel filled with fruits. He intends to visit his fiancee's house while visiting her fiance who is sick. It didn't take him long to get to Gio's house.

At first Gio was still living at his grandmother's house before both of his parents decided to move as well. Lydya pressed the doorbell and waited, before long the door opened and revealed Karina who was surprised and happy to see Lydya coming.

Lydya smiled sweetly at her mother's best friend who couldn't hide her delight at her arrival. Karina immediately brought Lydya in and sat in the living room together with Karina next to her.

“Until you bother bringing any fruit. Mama is so bad,” said Karina received a parcel and handed it to her domestic assistant.

Karina told the ART to peel some of the fruit before going back to talk to Lydya.

“You're here because of Gio, right?”

Lydya nodded awkwardly making Karina laugh happily. He should have come here with Leon and the others but somehow when they were at the supermarket, he was alone.

He knew they had left him to come alone to Isaac's house. Lydya cursed inwardly as Leon sent a message that he and the others had returned to their homes.

Karina smiled happily, “You can visit her by yourself. The room is at the end of the second floor. The door is brown,” said Karina stood up from her seat and took Lydya up to the top floor.

Lydya fluttered to herself when her mother's best friend came down and waved her hand telling her to immediately go inside her fiance's room alone. Lydya blinked her eyes quickly. It looks like he's unlucky today. From morning on, his erratic feelings now he had to go alone into his fiancee's room.

Lydya was standing at the door of the brown room like her mother's best friend said. Lydya's hand raised was about to knock her but was held down because she was feeling very nervous. He also did not know what to do with Gio.

‘Sial!’ lydya in the heart.

His heart beat and put his hand on the door and knocked. Lydya closed her eyes waiting for an answer from within but there was no answer. Lydya frowned confusedly then knocked again and there was still no answer.

Just as he was about to knock back on the door came a voice from within. It sounded hoarse and weak but still Lydya could listen because she stuck her ear to the door.

“It's me. Lydya,” Lydya replied.

Lydya opened the door when her fiance allowed her to enter.

“Oh! Lydya, wait,”

Lydya who had just half her body that was re-entering came out when Karina called out to her. Karina handed him a tray containing a bowl of milk, pieces of fruit, and a glass of water and there were also two grains of medicine next to the water.

Karina smiles widely and laughs softly, “Please help her, yes,” Karina said opening the door for Lydya.

Lydya could only resignedly let her mother's best friend push her in. Lydya's gaze fixed on the single mattress where her fiance was lying down and looking at her made her slightly jerked in surprise.

Lydya sighed and walked over to Gio who was sitting leaning back and looking at her in silence. Lydya placed the tray on the small shelf next to the table and pulled Gio's study chair and sat on it.

“You want to eat alone or be fed?” lydya said without a stale base.

He took the bowl of porridge and looked at Gio who was still staring at him. Lydya tilted her head looking at Gio confusedly. Lydya frowned confusedly then turned her gaze to the porridge bowl in her hand, she stirred it quietly and took a spoonful.

“Actually I came here just want to see you for a while and then go home,” said Lydya feed the porridge to Gio who was received obediently.

“But your mama held me back like this,” Lydya said to the point.

Gio just kept quiet and let Lydya bribe him. He's not strong to talk even to eat he's powerless. His body ached everywhere and he felt his fever grow higher. Even his head felt very dizzy.

“Still a lot of rest. You have to spend it,”

Gio shook his head weakly. He really did not want to eat now and all he wanted at this moment was to sleep.

“Two more feedings. Okay?”

Gio exhaled slowly and nodded. Lydya smiled happily and scooped up the porridge in large portions. Gio frowned and looked at Lydya when the ladle filled with bubu was in front of his mouth.

Lydya just smiled and looked at Gio to immediately open her mouth. Dutifully opening Gio's mouth, Lydya immediately inserted a large mouthpiece of porridge into Gio's mouth. Lydya chuckled happily and Gio could only resign.

The two jabs that Lydya bribed on her were the same as four times the small sip. He was lied to by his fiancee. Lydya smiled happily and scooped the porridge in large portions and then fed the last to Gio until the remaining quarter.

Lydya put the bowl back on the tray and helped her fiance drink. Gio was about to lie back down but Lydya held him back making Gio stare at Lydya confused.

“Do not sleep first. You have not taken medicine,” said Lydya to make Gio sit back.

“Eat this first,” continued Lydya pierced the apple with a fork and handed it to Gio.

“Compose slowly like you ate the porridge earlier,” said Lydya smiled widely.

Somehow Gio even felt Lydya was insinuating him for eating the porridge very slowly but not his fault, this pain that made him lazy to chew vegetables that his mama mix in the porridge.

“Why? Eat,” said Lydya who saw Gio just silently holding the fork.

Lydya felt guilty for mocking her fiance, but Gio was indeed very slow when he ate his porridge which was clearly mushy like that. Lydya took out the fork in Gio's hand and fed the apple to Gio who stared at Lydya for a while before opening his mouth.

“I think the cut is too big. I'll borrow a knife first,” said Lydya standing up from her seat.

Gio held onto Lydya's hand and shook his head, “You sure you don't want to cut her again?”

Gio nodded his head and Lydya again fed Gio with an apple before taking the medicine.

“Sleep. You still need rest but I think this medicine can speed you to sleep,” said Lydya helped envelop Gio.

Lydya was about to come out with the tray Karina gave her when Gio prevented her from going out and asked for a little company, Lydya put the tray back on the table and sat down again. It didn't take long for Gio to fall asleep.

Lydya immediately came out with her tray and walked downstairs. It was fortunate that Lydya met one of the ARTs who helped her carry Gio's food scraps so she didn't have to bother looking for where the kitchen was.

The ART told her before leaving that the hostess asked her to meet him in the back garden. Lydya followed the ART to the back garden. Lydya was stunned to see the garden behind Isaac's family home, there was a gazebo in the middle of the park and Lydya could see her mother's best friend sitting there.

Lydya walks over to her mama's best friend who turns out not to be alone. The closer Lydya felt familiar with the back of a woman who sat together with her mother's friend.

“Oh! Mommy!”

The two women looked at him simultaneously. It turned out that the woman was her mother who was now smiling broadly at her. What's her mom doing here?
