Remy took out the map, placed it on a large rock in our center, and I began to observe all the details.
The kidnappers' hideout is located in a hidden valley. The only way in is through a waterfall.
Behind it was a small cave leading to their camp. But before being able to enter the waterfall there are guard posts made by the kidnappers.
A kind of tree house, two each at each checkpoint. There were about 10 guards at each checkpoint. All of them are equipped with muskets with two refills.
Enough to trouble our infantry. But that's not the only problem.
“Young Master, we have an hour left before the kidnappers who are in charge of meeting Madam Fause return. As our captors say, his friends will step up the guard if they don't come back in an hour. After their defense is steady, it is impossible to break through without casualties.” Sir Ingard said in an anxious tone.
I still look closely at the maps.
My residence makes Sir Ingard and Jerome next to me even more impatient. Jerome who now appears with his fighting attributes, complete with a sword and a gun at the waist seems more intimidating now. While confirming his hat, Jerome suddenly approached, looked at the map closer and then said, “Yang Reverend. We'd better attack blatantly.”
I did not respond to Jerome's words and continued to watch the map closely.
Jerome continued, “We have a real war infantry. Plus 5 knights. Although the number of these criminals is about 100 people, they are still not soldiers. We can definitely win if we face them head-on!”
I felt annoyed with Jerome's casual talk and asked back, “What is the guarantee of their team is only 100?”
Jerome furrowed his brows. “I kira—”
“You just believe the talk of the kidnapper we caught?”
“Not so, Your Honour..”.
I let out a breath. “We don't know their exact number. We don't know if they have any escape routes other than the waterfall entrance and we don't even know if Francis is alive or not. We are facing a truly cautious criminal leader. He did not tell much to his men and was quite careful in acting. What do you think they'd do to Francis if they knew they were under attack?” I looked at Jerome closely. Jerome is down. “The only thing we have is surprise ability. That's our advantage. Must be put to good use.”
Sir Ingard scratched his bald chin then said, “Young Master, how about we break the troops into two halves? The other one will attack from the front. The other one will descend through the cliffs that circle the valley with a rope. That way they have no chance of running.”
I'm nodding. “Then the detachment of troops who will attack from the hill has the task of finding Francis.”
Sir Ingard nodded. “Too risky, Young Master. If they get caught then surprise attack will be free.”
Jerome interrupts, “I thought the little girl was dead?”
I sighed while glancing at Madam Fause who was now unconscious. It deteriorated. I don't know what they were talking about, which must have made Madam Fause shaken.
Sir Ingard replied, “But I still do not agree that we should look for Francis after successfully sneaking.”
I looked at Sir Ingard closely. The man had a hard face with a will of a steel-thick heart. I smiled at him and replied, “Alright. We're not going to find Francis. After our little detachment manages to sneak in, they will secure some important points within the valley then we will attack simultaneously.”
Sir Ingard agreed. So did Jerome.
I continued, “You and Jerome will lead our troops into the waterfall. While me, Loren, and Remy and some of our troops will sneak into.”
“Young Master!” Sir Ingard tried to protest.
“Don't worry, I'll just keep an eye out from the top.”
Sir Ingard tried to read my face but got nothing. He was silent in the end.

After our preparations were steady, we finally started moving. First of all is to take down the kidnappers who are in the surveillance post.
Our troops rely on the skills of the city guards with their arrows and bows. Everything was on target and it instantly killed the kidnappers on the spot.
After all the surveillance posts were easily passed, the troops I led took a detour and began to climb the cliff.
We had less than 30 minutes so we had to be fast.
Upon our arrival at the top, the 20 troops under my command immediately descended through the rope and slipped into the valley.
After a while, I went downstairs too. Develop Sir Ingard's talk is really important now.
Upon arrival, I met Remy and Loren. Both looked at me in wonder. Seeing this I immediately said, “Follow me. We're going to save Francis.”
“Not that you shouldn't be here?” ask Remy.
Loren who agreed immediately asked. “Where will we go Luca?”
I smiled broadly. “The biggest thing here. Criminal leader tent here.”
