The Return of the Exempted Son-in-law

Chapter 2

Gibson Wiguna kept thinking about the two choices Leo faced him. After careful thought, Gibson finally took the difficult decision of sacrificing the happiness of his daughter for the sake of surviving the company .

Dinner arrived, All the family sitting together at the dining table is no exception Jojo as well. Gibson let everyone have dinner before opening the conversation. Gibson and his wife Ana had already spoken before deciding to talk to Zizi and Jojo.

Dinner was quiet and not as usual. The silence broke as Gibson began to speak.

"Papa wants to talk to both of you" Gibson said. Zizi and Jojo looked at each other and for a few seconds then refocused his eyes on his papa and were ready to listen to what he was going to talk about.

"Papa wants you two to get divorced soon" Gibson said briefly. Gibson's words were so light as if their divorce was worth it.

Both of them were dumbfounded, hearing the words of his board

"What Pa, divorce?! Papa couldn't just ask us for a divorce, me and Jojo love each other and we promised we wouldn't be apart. Papa doesn't have the right to break our relationship."Saut Zizi did not accept.

Brakkk....

Gibson kicked down the dining table, making everything up his shoulders in shock.

"Papa has the right, because you're papa's son. Right now, papa wants you to get divorced. You know from the beginning this family never accepted Jojo's presence and now papa is sick of seeing Jojo in this house." Snap Gibson.

"If papa is sick of seeing us. Then let us leave this house. We can still live out there without any help from this family." Zizi does not accept it and she tries to fight back, because Zizi still wants to maintain her relationship with her husband.

"Take care of what you say, Zizi. Until whenever you can't leave this house. You want a divorce or Papa will make you split by force."Threaten Gibson and leave the dining table in anger.

"Papa don't threaten me. I'll never part with Jojo's mas."Shouted Zizi annoyed as he said his papa.

"Think carefully Zizi, don't let your papa be reckless to separate you. You better divorce, and you can get a rich guy who can make you happy instead of troublesome."Same Saut Ana with Gibson wants her daughter's divorce.

Angrily Zizi sat back down this time she looked at her husband who did not want to fight her father's words and instead chose silence.

"Why are you silent? I should have told papa that we are not going to divorce, but why would I speak a thousand languages, be afraid or want to divorce from me? I don't want us to split the point." Zizi is getting upset.

"Pearly zizi. You know papa never listens to my words. For my father, my words are only the wind and need not be responded to. But you take it easy, there's no way I'm staying silent when my household is on the usik. I'll definitely find a way out. I make sure no one can divorce us" Jojo said soothingly as he gently rubbed his wife's hair.

After finishing dinner, Jojo is alone on the balcony while Zizi chooses to sleep early. He thought of Gibson asking him to get a divorce.

Jojo contacts someone he knows and wants to make sure his guess is correct or not.

After making several calls, finally his call was raised by Adi, Assistant Gibson. Jojo and Adi know each other and they are familiar since Jojo often comes to the office to deliver his father-in-law.

"What's the matter, Jo, the night calls me?" ask Adi across the phone.

"I need your help a little bit. Em... can I know, is the company papa-in-law is having problems? I'm just guessing the truth, because papa suddenly changed." Ask Joko without further ado.

"Didn't Mr Gibson tell you? GB company is experiencing a financial crisis and if not immediately overcome most likely the company will go bankrupt. There was a director of the LB company who came to visit. I don't know what they're talking about because Mr. Gibson asked me to come out." Adi Clear.

Jojo finally knew the reason why his father-in-law was back to harass his household. He also wanted to do something to help his father-in-law and hoped that his household would no longer be disturbed after he succeeded in helping.

After pondering for a moment Jojo wanted to go to the kitchen to fetch some cold water. Jojo sees Gibson's workspace open and it looks like someone is inside. Jojo approached and saw that Gibson was still pensive alone, thinking of something that made him unable to sleep.

"Can I come in?" jojo and Gibson just cleared their throat.

"What's it for?" gibson asked without looking, still leaning on the chair and looking at something behind the translucent glass wall.

"I want to help with papa's company's financial problems. If papa allows. As long as papa doesn't ask me to divorce Zizi, I love him pa" Jojo said.

Gibson immediately stood up, then approached Jojo with a condescending look.

"Are you dreaming? how can you help the company, if your life is still hitchhiking in this family. Don't make a lot of money, two million you can't get it, pretentious to be a hero. Better get Zizi divorced and leave this house. Son-in-law is useless" Gibson said insultingly.

Jojo again could only sigh, each getting an insult.

Then what did Jojo do to convince his father-in-law?
