The Resistance: The Beginning

Chapter 5 (new friend )

Since grandfather was the head of the group, he had the most responsibility to ensure that his members could leave safely for a temporary refuge.

" Clark!. make sure the members leave safely!." cried Grandpa to the person who was his security section.

Altan who feels guilty wants to participate to help his grandfather resist the robot attack while the members escape, but his grandfather held him back. he refused, however, the orders of his grandfather.

" go away boy!. or you can get killed here!." "no grandfather!. I made him come here then I also have to drive him away from here." at first glance a smile was seen on the face of the grandfather but it changed instantly when the sound of an explosion in front which was where his men put traps.

" they're data...Ng!, they're coming!." shouted one of the scouts who was at the forefront.

" all right, are you ready, boy." "do I have to clarify again." Altan said.

" remember! we're just stalling for time for the residents to survive. We don't really want to finish them off. 'cause that's impossible." Altan nodded in response.

Altan had prepared a gun to aim at the robot but Grandpa held it.

" keep your bullets. This is not the last time they will attack.for now we rely on the traps we have created."

Some robots began to lunge forward, but their steps came to a halt when suddenly the ground they were stepping on formed a bottomless abyss.

But it does not make others retreat, because they are robots.and robots are designed just to obey commands.they begin to be overwhelmed by the robots. the members have managed to escape their survival against the remaining robots in the group.

" let's go!, let's back off!." cried grandfather loudly.even though his body looks frail but grandfather has physical strength that is still tough.

they also went to escape by splitting up so that they could avoid gunfire easily, although in the end they would meet at one point that had been determined since they settled in a long place.

Altan took a fairly long way past the grassland weeds as high as an electric pole.he had passed this road when he was about 7 years old.but now he is 18 years old. for eleven years he had not passed through this meadow.he was afraid that if he took the wrong path just a little he would get lost somewhere.

But what he fears turns out to be true.he thinks he will find his group's campfire but what he finds is contrary to what he hoped. he instead found a wilderness with a building-tall tree in the city he had just come to

" where am I?, hadu.h.why did I stray here anyway."

" the day is also getting dark. Continuing the journey is stupid, but getting into this forest is a more stupid thing."

" crew.k." "just try who knows I'll find some fruit to eat."

Altan ventured to enter the wilderness hungry and the sun began to sink.

" maybe there are no wild animals here." he muttered to drive away the fear, but just as he closed his mouth came the sound of a shrub moving from his right.

" who is it!. come out or I shoot you!." but the voice quickly moves to his left. then in front of him. then behind him.

Finally he realized that along with the sound there was black smoke that also surrounded him.he was also aware that the smoke contained poison. he was smoking the smoke before he knew it.

It took quite a long time for the poison to conquer Altan. 5 minutes was a quick time for him at that. After that, his body began to lose control. his head felt put a very heavy burden and his body began to daze uncontrollably until finally.

" bruck!." Altan was defeated by the poison after

a heartless 5-minute fight.

" oh, you're finally up." "who are you?."

" you don't need to know who I am yet."

" now you have to answer my question first." "what are you doing here?. Your place shouldn't be here."

" oh. So you accidentally found this forest?." "yes."

" what's your name."

" you'll call me Altan, and what's your name."

" hahaha, you can call me X."

" X?. Yes, yes, it's up to you." the face covered in the iron mask laughed again.

" hahaha." "are you hungry Altan?. I have some supplies on my hull."

" yes I'm hungry...boat!. You said we're on the ship!." "wowo. just relax guys don't have to panic so."

" in, where's the exit. ba, how can I get back to my group."

" want to just go straight from here and turn right and you'll find the exit from here." "I suggest you don't break down that exit or something will happen to you." said the creature behind the iron mask casually as he left Altan to fetch a glass of water.

The panicked Altan tried as quickly as possible to get off this ship before it got further and further from the mainland he thought.

He had already passed the turn and could clearly see the wooden exit, but he had forgotten X's advice. so he went straight through the door as hard as he could until it was broken by it, but what he found was not the sea but the tall tree on which the ship was and the ground on which it was about to fall.

" aaaaah!!" he cried as hard as he could.he could not see the footing or the handle on which his feet would stand or sway.

It was fortunate for him that there were vines holding his feet so that he was restrained from falling to the ground a few meters from his head.

" hahaha. hahaha!. You're so funny Altan, really, you have to look at your expression when you fall. hahaha!." X laughed at him until he was blown away considering he had managed to prank Altan.

" it's too much. put me down X." "you've lied to me you'll know the consequences." snapped Altan.but it seemed like the bluff was useless to X.

" i didn't lie to you, man."

" but you said we were on board."

" it's true!. You can see it through your feet." he's right. There's a very large ship hanging among the vines up there.

" you're the one who didn't hear my warning. hahahaha!."

" quickly let go of me X."

" okay, ok good thing that the vines are still functioning well.I thought the vines were gone." "well, let's just cut them off your legs will come off and you'll smell the ground."

" uh uh uh wait a minute.." "srak!. gedebug!."

" you're the one asking" he said casually without the slightest guilt.

" can't you listen to people first." "mm."

Altan grumbled with a fairly loud voice.he was still annoyed with X who bullied him this morning, but X instead put on a facial look that was like holding back laughter seeing Altan's face.

" Come fast!, I know you must be hungry."
