Ch. 22 - Underworld

Lin Ye was aware of the killing intent of a citizen and he thought it was an undercover assassin.

The bow in his hand had been changed into a sword since earlier to welcome the undercover assassin.

“Death!” said the assassin while attacking Zhou Wang.

Sringg.

The sword that stayed a few inches pierced Zhou Wang's heart in a quick tank by Lin Ye.

Zhou Wang was speechless at the tip of the sword that almost killed him.

The remaining nine mercenaries instantly descended from the precarious and then attacked the bodyguards. Zhou Jiao attacked with the bodyguards while Zhou Wang protected Lin Ye.

“Finally you're out too!” said Lin Ye smiling.

The undercover assassin was shocked because his disguise had been known before.

Lin Ye stepped on the assassin's foot then he kicked his future so the assassin grimaced in pain while holding onto his future.

The assassin took a few steps back avoiding Lin Ye's continued attack.

Lin Ye immediately replaced his sword with a bow and threw his arrow at the assassin.

The hitman immediately parried Lin Ye's arrow, but his right hand was hit by the scratch of his arrow. After that Lin Ye put back his bow on the ring.

The assassin was puzzled to see Lin Ye who removed his bow, he was about to attack but his entire body felt extremely itchy.

“Ital... Ital” the hit man scratched his itchy body all over.

“Haha, what a pity my arrow contains poison” Lin Ye laughed mockingly.

“Damn you!” the hitman was about to attack but the more he moved his sense of urgency grew.

“You better not move a lot” advises Lin Ye.

The assassin immediately took out a small bottle and directly drank it.

“Damn it!” Lin Ye was about to prevent but it was too late, the assassin instantly died after drinking the poison in the bottle.

The other nine assassins also immediately drank poison like undercover assassins until finally no one lived among them.

Lin Ye only sighed looking at the assassin who would rather die than divulge information.

“It is better that we immediately enter into” said Zhou Wang. Zhou Jiao and Lin Ye nodded in agreement.

The aura within the underworld felt gripping. The sky was green and the plants were abnormally sized.

Zhou Wang and his bodyguards walked straight to a cave not far there, inside the cave there was a holy pond.

Lin Ye walked in a different direction than Zhou Wang. He was looking for something valuable there. Zhou Jiao followed Lin Ye from behind.

“Why are you even following me?” said Lin Ye.

“I've never explored the underworld even though I've been here a lot, but I just soaked in the sacred pool with my father” Zhou Jiao replied.

Lin Ye did not reply and let Zhou Jiao follow him.

“How long is the portal of the underworld closed?” asked Lin Ye while putting away the plants for him to pass by.

“After three days, we will be forcefully expelled from here” Zhou Jiao replied as she looked around.

They continued to go inside while chopping down the plants using the sword. The sounds of birds and animals echoed above them.

“Prince, as a Prince you must not simply trust others, including me” said Lin Ye.

“Haha, what if I trust you?” ledek Zhou Jiao's.
