The Red Thread of Destiny

The Red Thread of Destiny
Chapter 31

"Hi sir, it's been a while?" alenka asked as she pulled up the chair and sat down.

"No." answered Andreas.

Alenka and Andreas meet at a cafe close to Andreas' company. Alenka accidentally invites Andreas to meet because he wants to apologize in person.

Initially, her goal was to return because to work at Andreas' company again. But it turns out that the plan was a mess. Alenka had to stop working and even get married to save her son's life.

Andreas looked at Alenka who felt bad for him. Maybe because Alenka felt guilty. "How are you? How's Elvan doing?" ask Andreas.

"Good sir. We're good. How's Andreas himself?" Alenka asked back. But, it was obvious that he felt awkward with Andreas.

"I'm also good." Andreas replied as before. She was so gentle with Alenka.

Seeing the nervous Alenka and feeling awkward. Andreas began to discuss the topic that Alenka wanted to say. "So Elvan's sick?" tanyakanya.

Alenka nodded her head quickly. "Cancer of blood" he replied slowly.

It was obvious that she was very sad when she told her what had happened to her son. "I'm sorry sir because I can't go back to your company" he added.

"Its okay. So you married Samuel?"

"Yes. Because the doctor said he could save Elvan, only blood from his sister Elvan's umbilical cord." Alenka tried to explain.

Alenka did not need to explain anything to Andreas. They have no relationship. Just friend's. Pure relationship between superiors and subordinates.

However, Alenka still remembered all the kindness Andreas had towards her and her son. When he ran away, Andreas helped him and his son.

"Oh, okay understood" Andreas said.

"Thank you sir.." Alenka smiled happily. He was truly grateful to have met Andreas in his life.

"I'll wait for you" Andreas said.

Alenka rounded her eyes. He didn't understand what Andreas was saying. However, he behaved normally and remained positive thinking. "Sir, may I ask you a question?" tanyakanya.

There was something stuck in Alenka's heart and mind. He wanted to ask Andreas directly.

Andreas nodded his head slowly. His eyes continued to stare at Alenka making Alenka become somewhat nervous.

"Why didn't you tell me Samuel wasn't actually married?" ask Alenka.

Andreas smiled slightly. He seemed to know what Alenka was going to ask. "Because I don't want you to get hurt anymore" he replied casually.

"Isn't it because Mr. Andreas likes me?" Alenka began to dare to ask even more.

"That's one of them." Andreas is not evasive. He told the truth to Alenka.

Alenka's eyes are round. But then he smiled cynically. Yes, he has felt it for a long time. Because Andreas' treatment of him was very different from Andreas' other employees.

However, Alenka did not dare to put her heart to Andreas because of their different status. Also because of Alenka who had a child out of wedlock with another man. Not to mention the feelings of Alenka who only considered Andreas as her superior and also her older brother.

"But sorry sir-"

"I'm not forcing you to like me." he added.

Alenka stared fixedly at Andreas. Since arriving, Alenka was staring directly at Andreas. He saw the gentle gaze of Andreas. A smile that warms.

"You also just think of me as your older brother right?" andreas said again.

"No problem, I just like you not forcing you to be with me. I will still be your big brother." Alenka's eyes glazed over.

"Thankyou is very much." he said.

"So, if you need help. You call me!" Andreas touched the top of Alenka's head gently.

Alenka nodded her head repeatedly while holding back her tears. There's nothing he can say anymore. Only tears accumulate in the eyes because they are very happy.

"It's over?" samuel suddenly appeared. Turns out he knew Alenka's plan to meet Andreas. He even brought his wife. It was just that he was waiting outside for Alenka and Andreas to be free to chat. But he couldn't wait outside.

Alenka quickly wiped her tears. She didn't want her husband to misunderstand. Because he just wanted to apologize.

"Sir Samuel how are you?" asked Andreas politely.

"Well." replied Samuel briefly.

"Have you finished talking?" ask Samuel to Alenka.

"Udah really.." replied Alenka.

"Yes, if that's it!" Samuel stretched out his hand.

Alenka welcomed her husband's hand while nodding her head. "I'm saying yes sir.. Thank you for everything." said Alenka.

Andreas just smiled as he nodded his head.

Samuel did not say goodbye to Andrew. Whether it was just a feeling or a hunch, every time he saw Andreas, he was extremely dislikeful. Like there's something that makes him dislike. Especially if you are close to his wife.

"Oh yes, Mr. Andreas. Thank you for taking care of my wife and kids all this time. I will pay for the expenses you incurred while taking care of my wife and children. Tell me how much the nominal is." Samuel stopped his steps. He turned his body to look at Andreas who was still sitting in his place.

He smiled at Samuel's words. Then stand up from his seat. "I don't need your money. Quite happy Alenka and her son, it was more than enough" Andreas said then he left the place first.

Unknowingly Samuel's hand clenched. He was annoyed by Andreas' words. It was like opening an old wound in his heart.

Alenka knows that her husband is starting to get out of control. He tried to calm Samuel down. He clasped Samuel's hardened hand. "Thank you for trying to improve yourself for me and Elvan" Alenka said softly.

Slowly Samuel's originally hard hand began to soften. He looked at his wife inside. Yes, in his heart was flogging. Between joy and guilt. He recalled the past where he was so cruel to Alenka and her son.

"Aren't you married to me?" samuel's question made Alenka smile amusedly.

"If it wasn't for love, I wouldn't have married you. But, since I love you, so let that regret be part of my love. Your job is to make me not regret choosing you" Alenka said.

Alenka held Samuel's hand. She walked to the car holding her husband's hand. "As you say. You and I have been bound by the red thread of destiny. We will never be separated." added Alenka who made Samuel smile happily.

Now, they only focus on caring for and healing their child.
