The Murder of the Beloved

The Murder of the Beloved
Chapter 58

That afternoon Dinda got out of her father's car after school. Johan did not stop by because the atmosphere in his workshop was very crowded. "Daaag... Daddy!" exclaim Dinda while waving her hands. "Daaag..so, Dind!" Johan waved back. Then the car drove away.

Dinda stood for a moment looking at her father's car. Then his gaze turned momentarily to a gazelle that was parked not far from his house. The driver sits in it. Dinda felt the driver was looking at her, but then she acted indifferent. Yes, maybe it is worth looking at, he thought. With her High School uniform, white and gray, she feels more mature. A little proud he glanced at her new clothes then stepped into the door.

"Ladyy! Windsor!"

Dinda looked towards the voice. Leli's mother, the next door neighbor, reached out to him. "Here's a minute, Dind!"

"What's Auntie doing?" ask Dinda after approaching.

The woman who was his mother's age looked at him critically for a moment. "Are you in high school now, Dinda?"

"Already dong Aunt. If you haven't had this shirt." Dinda laughs. Her mother doesn't like Leli much. They both get along poorly and rarely talk. He himself was rarely reprimanded by Leli's mother. But after his mother died the woman was sweet to him. He kept his distance because he knew what Leli's mother wanted from him. She wants to satisfy her curiosity about her family and herself.

"You're just more beautiful, Dind. Auntie hasn't seen you in a long time. You should play here sometime. Time alone."

"I'm not alone Auntie. There's Bi Imah."

"Yes. But she's a maid."

"It's okay, Auntie. If I need help, I can run for help with Auntie, right?" Dinda smiled sweetly. His style flatters.

Leli's mother smiled happily. "Yes. Of course I can. If not the closest neighbor, who else can help? But you should be familiar dong. Don't isolate yourself."

"I'm not ostracizing myself, Auntie. I'm busy."

"What's so busy?" Mother Leli widened her eyes. Curiosity clearly loomed on his face.

"Take care of Aunt's house. Excuse me first, will you?" Dinda smiled sweetly again.

"Hey, wait a minute! Hurry up, Dind. Wait for. There's something important I want to say. Oh, I forgot."

"What's important, Auntie?" Dinda was serious.

Leli's mother stared at the street for a moment. "Because not here, Dind. Yuk inside."

Dinda agreed to sit on the terrace. He believes the mother has important information. He doesn't usually act like that.

"So that guy was outside, Dinda. Yes, I'm sure it's the car."

"What person? what kind of car is aunty? Come on tell me."

"So you saw a gazelle parked there?" mother Leli pointed at the direction with her hands.

"Yes, I see."

"The driver once asked me about Mr. Bram and your mother. He asked if this is really the house of Bram's ex-wife named Lilis? I answer yes. He introduced himself as a relative of Mr. Bram who had not met for a long time. Not right, not lying. He asked a lot about Bram and Lilis. Unfortunately, I can't answer all the questions. Eat I said, why didn't he just ask you as Miss Lilis's son. Surely you know better. He said he was ashamed of you. Apparently he's coming again. Wonder why he stayed there. Is it still shameful?"

Dinda was getting really serious. "Say he's Om Bram's relative?"

"But how is he still quiet Auntie?"

"Maybe embarrassed or something. He's young and polite, Dind. Auntie's sure she doesn't mean anything."

"Who exactly is he looking for, mom or Om Bram?"

"It's definitely not your mother. He knows that your mother is gone."

"Then he's looking for Om Bram. Didn't Aunt tell you that Om Bram had moved?"

"Oh he's not looking for Mr. Bram. He knows that Mr. Bram doesn't live with you anymore."

"Lho's weird." But immediately after saying that word, Dinda regretted it. He shouldn't have shown his feelings in front of Ms. Leli. His words made Bu Leli become more curious. So he shrugged his shoulders. "Stupid ah. It's none of our business, is it?"

Dinda said goodbye after saying thank you. But before passing through the gate, Ms. Leli held her arm. "Did Mr Bram ever call you again, Dind?" tanyakanya.

"Not Aunt. Wh why? Did Auntie ever meet him?"

Bu Leli shook his head. "Ah, no." Actually a still wanted to ask, but Dinda's attitude made her disinclined.

When Dinda went to the street she saw the car was still there. He was very curious. Information on Bram must be valuable. Ever since he left his house, there's been no news of Bram. Though Frida's vanishing case is still mysterious. Unfortunately, their suspicions about Bram had no power to the point that they could not be conveyed to others, especially to the police.

Dinda deliberately linger opening the gate. He silently looked and watched. The driver of the car did not get out of the car. It's not clear what he's doing because the windshield is a little dark. He hoped the driver would meet him soon to tell himself what exactly he wanted. That guy shouldn't have parked aimlessly.

Then came his taste. Why didn't that guy come out to see him so soon, he really wanted to talk? It becomes alarmed. He should be careful. Who knows, that person was Bram's man who intended evil to him. The thought prompted him to quickly enter the house and lock the door.

Dinda called her dad in his workshop. "It's very thick Dind. You have to be careful. It's likely that person is looking for information about you. Not about Bram. Do not let into the house. You want me to go there?" asked Johan with a worried tone.

"Not necessarily yeah. I'll be careful. It looks like the guy's all alone."

"Never underestimate anyone."

"No yeah. I'll call you back later, okay?"

Soon after Dinda had lunch, she heard a knock at the gate. Bi Imah rushed out. "Wild, Bi! Just me!" yell at Dinda while jumping.

"Oh, his friend Non?" ask Bi Imah. But Dinda did not hear because she had already run outside.

The height of the fence that was limited to Dinda's neck made him face to face with the door knocker. He was a young man taller than Dinda, handsome with friendly eyes. His attitude was a bit awkward and he smiled shyly as he greeted her. "Good day brother. Perhaps Sister has been told by Auntie she's next door about me, right? The day I did come to say about Om Bram. At that time I did not dare to come directly here. Shameful anyway. Time just wants it just like that. I'm also afraid of being considered ugly."

"What do you want to ask?"
