The Murder of the Beloved

The Murder of the Beloved
Chapter 34

Dinda realized that she was too impulsive by telling her what she wanted to do. He better not say anything. "Alright," he said then in a tone of surrender. "I'll just shut up. But I'm still going back there. I have to go home."

"Wouldn't you just stay here?" ask Johan.

"No need Well. I'll be fine" Dinda assures with her smile.

Dinda can't be prevented. He goes with Bustaman and Della to be dropped off at his house later. At the moment of farewell, Irene kissed him with a whisper. "Beware of Dind." He nodded with a grateful look. During the conversation, Irene did not interfere at all. He deliberately avoided, going to another room. But Dinda knew, Irene's attitude was not a sign of indifference.

Bustaman and Della don't stop by Dinda's house anymore. Bustaman's car only stopped briefly in front of the house to drop Dinda off, then slid again after the girl went inside.

Dinda did not see Bram who she believed must be at home because his car was in the yard. Bi Imah sign with index finger up. Blessed Bram is in the room. Knowing that, Dinda visited the guest room and set the television. Something he never did when Bram was home. Bi Imah went with her and sat on the carper under her chair. They watch together.

Shortly afterwards there was a thumping sound. Bram. But Dinda stayed where she was. Bi Imah is restless. He moved to stand up, but Dinda pressed his shoulder. Bi Imah had to settle down with an awkward attitude.

Bram looked at Dinda for a while, but Dinda did not return his gaze. Dinda's eyes did not change direction from the television as if the show she saw was very interesting. What seems like a boring advertisement. Then Bram sat down too, quite far from Dinda. He cleared his throat again but Dinda did not look. Bi Imah is getting more agitated.

"You know, of course, that tomorrow I'm going to Dinda" said Bram.

"Yes" said Dinda without looking. He acted waiting.

"Bi, could you please get me a drink? A glass of water, huh?" Bram got a reason to expel Bi Imah. But Bi Imah happily rushed away. When he returned to bring the requested drink, Bram gestured for him to come back. Bi Imah was relieved that Dinda did not give her the opposite gesture. Indeed, he did not want to accompany or take care of Dinda, but he felt bad when he heard things that are personal. From the beginning he had kissed the hostility of Dinda to Bram. He understands why. But Bram has always been kind to him and also often gives percent. So for Bi Imah, the effect of Bram is quite good. But suddenly the impression fell apart when he saw a less than normal sight a few hours ago.

He did not know and did not want to know about the conversation that Pak Bus and Bu Della had with Bram, but of course it would be inappropriate if after they came home Bram suddenly laughed with pleasure. Especially at that time the atmosphere was still filled with grief because of the death of Bu Lilis. Does Bram laugh like that? In addition, the faces of Mr. Bus and Ms. Della were very moody when they passed.

Bi Imah wants to be Dinda. But enough from behind, in a place that Bram doesn't see. Not far. There he could see them, but they couldn't see him. In doing so, inevitably he was forced to listen to the conversation between the two.

"You've heard it all, haven't you? I'm so sorry that such a thing could happen."

"Repent? Is that right, Om?"

"Rubber. Very sorry."

Dinda. Only now do both look. Bram was surprised to find how fierce Dinda's gaze was. As Dinda's eyes there was a source of fire that gushed, distribute the dragon that was angry. "There's no need for hypocrites, Om. Don't pretend."

"Yes. If you hadn't married Om, she would still be alive."

"Well, you're accusing me again. Don't overdo it, Dind. You hate me to the point of imagining the vile of me. You really want your fantasy to come true, don't you? I love your mother very much. But you're denying that reality."

"Your love's a big wretch Om."

"What do you know about love?"

"I don't know about love, but I can read your chatter!"

"Oh yeah? What else do you know about floundering?" bram's voice sounded cynical.

"Shortly I know, that from the beginning you were just pretending to love mom. You don't love her at all. You meant to drain it. That'sthat's all. Just why are you so hearty, after exhausting still killing? You're really mean."

While saying so, Dinda continued to observe Bram's face. I enjoyed the change in that face. How Bram's patience and calmness turned to anger. Her face was reddish with eyes lit up. But his tone of speech did not show his anger. "I'm willing to take your accusation Dind. As cool as anything. Let it be a punishment for neglecting to look after your mother. I feel guilty. I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry?" shout Dinda. He becomes difficult to hold back against Bram's style of speech like that. If Bram appeared angry with threatening and challenging words, it might be the opposite. "Enak's right! After killing and draining people's property, then apologize. Who can forgive you?"

Bram. "Of course I can't force you not to give" he said.

"At some point I could've dragged you to jail!"

"Oh yeah? Drag me now! Come on!" Bram.

They look back. Now Dinda saw Bram's gaze containing hatred for him. For the first time he saw Bram's gaze containing hatred face to face. There is no more face of harassing and containing scorn, like a man who is hungry by lust. The current gaze had the same meaning as the gaze directed at his mother from behind. So, that's how Bram feels about her.

Bram has the same feelings for both his mother and for her. Suddenly, at that brief moment, he understood that he had made a terrible mistake. He has allowed himself to get caught up in a game set up by Bram. It was actually not instinct alone that made him believe that the man was not a good one. At one time he had been amazed at it, why Bram likes to terrorize it secretly. Apparently all of that was the intention of Bram so that he hated him and at the same time kept him away from his mother, because the hatred he displayed so blatantly made his mother less happy.
