The night is not okay. Lightning strikes a picture in all directions around the earth. Water droplets from the sky fell down rapidly soaking the entire surface of the earth.
"Keyla, it's raining so hard. Looks like the bus isn't going through here either." Said Erna who was stirring the coffee.
Keyla just grunted quietly. He stared out through the glass walls of the clinic. The rain was very heavy, the flash of lightning seemed to penetrate the glass wall, making it close the eyes as tightly as possible.
"Later to return home if the rain has subsided. Now, have some coffee to make it warmer." Erna put two cups of coffee on the table. His hand was wriggling towards Keyla to invite the girl to sit on the sofa of the waiting room while enjoying a warm cup of coffee.
"Thank you for the coffee." Keyla, who is sitting next to Erna.
For a moment they were silent. The eyes of the two stared out, looking at the dripping water not stopping either. Not to forget, occasionally they sip warm coffee to warm the body which also feels cold by the weather out there.
"Did you ever think that maybe your parents were alive, Key?" Erna's question that arrived made Keyla almost choke on coffee.
"Mmh, I don't know. Maybe.no." Answer doubtful.
"really?"
keyla just smiled and gave a slight doubtful nod in response to Erna's question.
"Why?"
"Maybe it's because I've been growing up and all this time there's not the slightest sign of them saying they're alive."
This time it was Erna who nodded. He begins to understand why Keyla never thought to look for her biological parents.
"I think my life has been fine so far, ma'am. So, I don't need to know about those who don't want to know about me either." Reciprocity.
The first time Erna found this girl, when she visited the parlour with her mother. Mama Erna is one of the donors who often help the orphanage where Keyla grew up. Little Keyla is very adorable, Erna immediately fell in love when she saw the two little girl's eyes were slightly bluish, different from her eyeballs and also the eyes of other children of the home.
"Thank you for always being there for me, Erna." Keyla.
"Of course it's dear."
Erna grabbed Keyla's hand that was not as beautiful as it was. He gently stroked the back of the hand with warmth.
"Don't feel alone, remember that you'll always be here with you."
"Thank you mbak." Keyla lowered her head, her eyes began to glaze over. He was moved by Erna's kindness to him. For him, Erna is not only just a boss, but also as a family for him.
"The rain is starting to stop. Want to go home now, or want to stay at the place?" Erna switched the conversation. He knew Keyla was starting to dislike the melow talk.
"Back, dong. You know, I'd rather sleep in my little room than Erna's double room." Keyla said as she stepped towards the cashier's desk to pick up her bag.
"Alright, then let me take the princess home!" Erna opened the clinic door and let Keyla out first.
"Thank you!"
Keyla stepped out first, heading for Erna's parked car not far from the clinic yard. Then he opened the car door and invited Erna to enter.
"It's an honor for me, delivered directly by Ms. Erna."
They laughed and entered the car. A few seconds later, Erna's car drove a slippery road to Keyla's boarding house.
