"Do'm gonna have a smooth operation huh." Arsen picked Arnav up while giving him milk from a bottle in his room. His eyes glazed over at the twinkle of his son's eyes that were staring at him. "Arnav, don't be sad. I can't drink with my mom, no papa. I'll make milk. Yummy, right?"
Arsen smiled as the milk in the bottle had run out. She prefers to wait for Naya in her room with Arnav. In front of the operating room there were already both Naya's parents and both her parents.
"Arnav, now sleep ya." Arsen stood up and held his son slowly.
But Arnav's two eyes just wider staring at him.
"Yes already if you don't want to sleep playing with Dad alone yes." Then Arsen sat back on the sofa and chatted with his son. Although his son was still newborn and did not understand anything but Arsen was very excited to invite him to speak.
"Fel." Miss Ririn came in and sat down next to Arsen. "Arnav didn't sleep? Waiting for Mom, huh?" Then Bu Ririn grabbed Arnav and held him.
"The operation isn't finished?"
"It's still 15 minutes away. Will be sent here directly. Hopefully the operation is smooth. The doctor said after the surgery, both of Naya's eyes will be bandaged for one week," explained Bu Ririn
"Yes, I love Naya. Hopefully he can see soon. He's dying to see Arnav's face."
Ms. Ririn nodded her head. He now saw Arnav who had fallen asleep by himself in his lap. "Smart, I slept alone. The night isn't fussy either?"
"Yes, last night after I gave milk straight to sleep again." Because last night only Arsen was looking after Naya and her son. He told his parents to go home so as not to feel tired.
Ms. Ririn took down Arnav who had fallen asleep in her box then she sat down with Arsen on the sofa. "Mama didn't expect you to be such a great dad. So great husband too."
Arsen embraced his mother. "It's all thanks to Mama. I'm sorry, because I used to hate and blame Mama. I really just saw a mother struggle while giving birth for real. A Mother is willing to lose anything even her life for the sake of her son being born into this world safely. Thank you for giving birth to me in this world."
"Yes, all mothers must be like that. One message Mama, never hurt your wife who has given birth to your child. Make him your top priority. Always help her even if she refuses your help."
Arsen took off his embrace and nodded his head. "Yes Ma, that's for sure."
"Sometimes you still don't expect, you can be so responsible like this. Mama is so grateful. If you remember when your father often told you that you joined a motorcycle gang and often drunk, Mama was very scared and worried. Every day you pray that you change. It turns out that God sent Naya for you."
Arsen smiled a little. His life in the past was very dark. He no longer wanted to be in that moment. "But Naya said, I can't change because of her. From then on, I had to change my mindset that I was changing for my own good."
Ms. Ririn rubbed the top of Arsen's head. He is very proud to have his son now.
Moments later, Naya and her parents escorted Naya into her ward. Naya was in a wheelchair with both eyes closed.
"Where's the operation?" arsen asked, and he carried Naya to her safe.
"Yes, Sus. Thank you." Thank you."
After the sisters came out, Arsen sat down next to Naya's gurney. He held onto Naya's cold hands.
"You scared? Your hands are cold."
Naya nodded her head. "Yes, I'm scared. I'll see you again, won't I?"
"Can, I'm sure you can see again." Then Arsen rubbed the top of Naya's head.
"Arnav isn't fussy, is he?" ask Naya.
"No, he just slept. Very smart mom and dad."
"I can't wait to see Arnav."
"Yes, one more week you'll definitely see Arnav."
Naya told me a lot about her eye surgery experience with Arsen. Arsen just smiled looking at Naya. To him, Naya was a very great woman. There have been many trials that Naya went through, but she was always strong through it. Even that smile was so easily imprinted on his face.
"I love you, Nay." Suddenly Arsen cuts the story and hugs Naya's stomach.
Naya just smiled as she put on Arsen's hair. "Why are you mellowing gini? You're not crying anymore, are you?"
"No, shame on the child. His son is not fussy, his father's time is fussy."
Naya smiled at Arsen. "I love you too."
