Ardian sits in front of the operating room of a hospital. His condition was extremely chaotic, his hair was messy, and the clothes he was currently wearing were dirty from being exposed to Nissa's blood.
His eyes did not blink staring at that green round light. Several times he squeezed his own finger, trying to reduce the feeling of worry that was afflicting him at this moment.
Assistant Roli slowly walked over to him. He brought a brown paper bag and handed it to Ardian.
"Loe change clothes first, Di," when faced with a situation like the current Roli will play a role as a friend, no longer as an assistant.
Ardian. "Gue can't leave Nissa alone, Rol," he said with a sad look.
"Nissa inside not alone, Di. There are doctors and nurses who accompany him" said Roli.
"But how about..."
"Nothing but, I'm asking you to go now, wash your face and change your clothes. I want to see it" said Roli sewot.
Finally Ardian got up and grabbed the paper bag from Roli's hand violently. Roli who got such treatment could only sneer in annoyance.
Ardian quickly changed clothes in the bathroom, having previously washed his face. Then he rushed back to the operating room where Nissa was struggling at the moment.
A doctor came out of the operating room with a tired face. Ardian immediately stood up and approached him.
"How's it going, doc?" asked Ardian, from his face looked very anxious about Nissa's condition.
"We should be grateful that Miss Nissa was able to fight to this very second, just now we almost lost her. For now the patient will be observed first, if the situation is stable then we will move it to a regular nursing room" he explained to Ardian.
"What about his stab wound, will it affect his future life, doc?" ask Ardian back.
"The puncture wound in the patient's stomach is not too deep and does not injure other organs. It's just that for the next month the patient is prohibited from doing heavy work," explained the doctor with glasses.
Nissa came out of the operating room. An oxygen hose was attached to his nose, and several other medical devices appeared to be attached to his body.
Nissa was put into a special room of the operating patient. Nissa's condition will be monitored over the next 24 hours. Ardian could only see Nissa from outside the room which was bounded by a glass wall.
"Hey, bro," suddenly Roli patted Ardian on the shoulder.
Ardian gasped in surprise and looked over. His face looked really gloomy, but Roli instead smiled mockingly at him.
"Nyesel no, loe?"
"meaning?" Ardian asked back while looking in wonder.
"People who lo hate are even willing to be in rich pain for the sake of protecting loe," he said as he looked at Nissa's body lying in a gurney from the outside.
Ardian was silent, he could not respond to Roli's words. He realized that his attitude had been very outrageous to Nissa. He also realized that all this time Nissa was just a victim of his anger.
But his ego is too high so he always denies even though Roli has repeatedly reminded him. His ego was also what made him abuse the power he had to hurt innocent people.
Ardian is again wracked with guilt as he recalls all his misdeeds with Nissa, as he arbitrarily rules over the girl. Even this afternoon he had already made a list of the heavy work that Nissa had to do the next day.
"In, the big lady called me mulu, nih," said Roli while showing a call from Ms. Marissa.
"Siniin hape, loe. Let me speak directly," he said, extending his hand.
Roli gave her phone to Ardian. Ardian immediately contacted his mother. The middle-aged woman did pay Roli to pay attention to all the actions of Ardian since he moved to B city.
"Hello, ma'am," said Ardian gently.
"Hello, Son. How are you doing? Are you all right?" mother Marissa asked, from her voice sounded the woman was very worried.
"Ardi is fine, really. You don't have to worry" said Ardian to calm the mother.
"Why are you in the hospital? Did you lie to me, son?" mother asked, it seems like he was starting to suspect the whereabouts of Ardian in the hospital.
Ardian looked at Roli sharply. His mouth grumbled at his best friend without making a sound.
"Armi didn't lie, Mom. It's just that Ardi's bodyguard was injured and had to be rushed to the hospital, ma'am."
"You now have a bodyguard? Since when?" Marissa's mother again showered Ardian with questions that were difficult to answer.
"Yes, Mom. Ardi now hires the services of a personal bodyguard. It's been two months now" he replied lying.
"The bodyguard's okay, ma'am. Just got a stab wound in his stomach,"
"What! Ardian Sanjaya, puncture wounds are serious. How can you say that to the man who saved you?" Marissa's mother sounded very angry because of Ardian's words earlier.
"That's not what Ardi meant, Mom,"
"Tomorrow early in the morning, I'll be there. I'll see the state of your bodyguard" I said forcefully.
Ardian's face turned tense, he couldn't let his mother meet Nissa. He could not imagine how angry his mother would be if he knew the injured bodyguard was a woman, not a man as the mother thought.
"Free, Mom. If you come here it will be in vain," said Ardian trying to cover up the truth.
"Why futile?" ask Marissa's mother.
"Because the bodyguard that Ardi hired came from an agent who was very secretive. If anyone else knows his identity then his family will be threatened by his safety" Ardian said with confidence.
"really? You're not trying to cover something up, are you?" mother Marissa asked as if she did not believe the words of her second son.
"Yes, Mom. Why did Ardi lie to Mom, "he replied.
The sound of his mother's breath from the voice of the challenger on his cellphone.
"Well, then I won't visit her. But please tell her that I'm very grateful that she has protected my precious mother's son" Ms Marissa said.
"Yes, my beautiful mother" said Ardian.
"And for you, please don't get involved in anything dangerous" said the expectant mother.
"Ready, do it" said Ardian again.
After their conversation over the phone ended Ardian returned the phone to Roli.
He felt guilty for lying to his mother, the woman who had raised him in love. But on the other hand he was grateful because his mother believed his lie.
***
Nissa has been undergoing an observation process for 24 hours, and Ardian has always been in the hospital. He does all his work in the VVIP-only nursery that he booked for Nissa.
Nissa has now been moved to the VVIP room. All medical equipment attached to his body has been released. Only the remaining infusion hose and oxygen hose are still attached to his nose.
Ardian sat beside Nissa's bed. He looked at the pale face of the beautiful girl. His hand was holding Nissa's phone. From this morning someone tried to call Nissa until she was disturbed.
Randy again, his mind grumbled. There's actually a connection to what Nissa and Randy are, she thought.
"What about Nissa's family? Did you know of their whereabouts?" ardian asked Roli's assistant.
"Already, sir," said Roli calmly.
During working hours, Assistant Roli will be professional, even he changes his call with formal language.
"Prepare, after the nurse I asked you to find to take care of Nissa comes we'll be off to meet Nissa's parents soon. At least I have to tell their daughter's condition and apologize for making her son hurt" he said.
Just said that a woman walked into Nissa's treatment room. Apparently he was the one who had paid Assistant Roli to look after Nissa.
Ardian immediately stood up, he put Nissa's phone on the nightstand and turned around to move out of this room.
GREPS
Instantly Ardian turned around as he felt his wrist firmly in the grip. Ardian widened his eyes when he found out the person who grabbed his hand.
Nissa's eyes were open, she was conscious. Ardian glanced at the smile on his lips. Nissa looked at Ardian with a faint look. He pulled Ardian's wrist until he got closer to him.
"I beg you, do not tell them the circumstances that I am experiencing. I beg you," said Nissa softly, her tears now flowing slowly down her cheeks.
