The Left Behind Story

The Left Behind Story
17 ~ Apologize On Flowers

Tonight Najla takes Dewi out after being tired of doing several tasks for two weeks in a row.

“I need a breath, Wi. Very tired! My brain is like getting out of the head.” Najla's grunts all the way.

They came out of the apartment to a cafe not too far away. It was nothing, for the Goddess who relied on scholarship, she had to save every ringgit that came out. The Goddess did not want to linger there even though she was eager to find some fresh air for her brain. What power, a hail of stones in his own country is better than a hail of gold in the land of people.

“The place is convenient huh?” several months of living there, Dewi still uses Indonesian and fortunately Najla is very understanding because the household system in her parents' house also comes from Indonesia. Only occasionally Dewi uses English especially if talking to lecturers or other friends besides Najla.

A man came to them. “Hi Sweetheart,” the man in white and the sharp nose was sitting next to Najla.

“Goddess, this is my girlfriend. His name is Zayed Bin Amir. He works at one of the hospitals.”

“Doctor?” ask the Goddess while smiling. Zayed nodded. The goddess clutched her two palms on her chest as Zayed wanted to shake hands. The goddess takes care of herself here. He felt safe by not shaking hands with any man except for the same people who knew Najla who occasionally came to the apartment.

The goddess is lonely again even though Najla and Zayed invite her to talk but Dewi still feels lonely. He missed Fiqi, Rani and Ayi. Living alone in the overseas turned out not to be as easy as imagined. Especially having the same lover away. True said Dilan if miss is HEAVY!!!

Dewi picks up his phone, he chooses to reply with Rani or Ayi and of course there is Fiqi also in it even though Dewi knows Fiqi is too busy these days. Many activities make Fiqi's time all confiscated to the job. Fiqi who hold firm a sense of responsibility can only reply to the message of the Goddess if you want to sleep at night.

“Akhi, in front of Ukhti there is currently Najla as his girlfriend. We sat in the cafe again to unwind. What is it Akhi again? Ukhti bother ya?”

Fiqi sent a laughing emoji and wrote, “Sabar Ukhti. Currently Ukhti patience is again tested.”

“Ukhti be patient. It's just that Ukhti isn't comfortable here. Want to say goodbye, not good with Najla.”

“Say if you don't like it. Do not accumulate in the heart continue to be a bomb and explode at any time. Ukhti has never experienced it, right?”

“Iya, Akhi. Ukhti will talk to Najla after this.”

“Ukhti, nine o'clock at night go straight home! No good a woman out night-night without muhrim.” Fiqi still reminded the Goddess.

“Iya, Akhi. Ukhti's home soon.”

A young man came back to their table. “Sorry to disturb you. You are from Indonesia?” Goddess nodded.

The young man reached out his hand but the Goddess countered by clutching a mouthful of hands on the chest. “Oh sorry. Me, Andi from Indo. You?”

“Goddess.”

Dewi introduces Andi to Najla and her boyfriend. “Please sit!” pinta Goddess.

Andi sat beside the Goddess. Then they talked in their own language about Najla and his girlfriend. “Means we are both student model scholarship yes.” Seloroh Andi's.

“If not financed which country can enter here, Bang.” From that conversation, Dewi found out if Andi was a pharmaceutical student from Makassar. For the first time, Dewi was escorted home by Andi because Najla went with her boyfriend. They know the entrance code so there is no need to wake each other up if anyone comes home late.

They choose to walk to the apartment while talking about many things. As fellow nomads, they tend to miss the family or the atmosphere in their own country but what power. Their mission is to complete education and spend government money according to the deadline that has been set.

“Sorry if this is too fast. Can you know your status? To avoid misunderstandings in the future.” Said Andi as they arrived in front of the Dewi apartment.

“Same! Yes, later if there is a meeting of fellow Indo students, Abang tell you. Later your number will be added to our group ya.”

“Good, Bang. Thank you very much.”

They separate. Nothing happened or would happen because the Goddess had already put up a thick wall in front of her. He still chose Fiqi as his soul mate. Dewi studied in Malaysia while Fiqi taught on campus and pesantren in Indonesia. Both are involved in their respective activities. While in the eastern city of Lung, Rani was sitting in one of the cafes with her old friend, Eva.

“You look skinny huh?” ask Eva.

Rani smiles small, “Brain play tasks, tired, late eating and likes to stay up late.” Answer Rani.

“You yourself why did you disappear? When to return to campus?” Rani is back to hit Eva. Of his three best friends, only Rani still secretly sends a message just asking news to Eva. For some reason, from the first only Rani who tend to be close to Eva compared to Ayi and Dewi.

“Two more years maybe after all the faces that know me are gone from campus.”

“Don't be too long later you forget the same lesson. Just log in next year why wait two more years.”

“See later. Ayi how are you?”

“Good. He's busy with his project.”

“What project?”

“Create a person's thesis!” Eva beroh ria's.

“Va, are you still in a relationship with Bang Fadil? If you don't want to answer-“

“No, Ran. I left after her family came to my house after the incident that day. They humiliated me, insulted me and told me things. I'm hurt, Ran. So I decided to go away from Fadil.”

“He never contacted you?”

Eva shook her head, “Western said the saying, sweet enough to be thrown away might be suitable for me after the incident. Him, you both dumped me.”

“I didn't dump you, Va. I went to your house but your house is empty. I went to your relatives' house and they also do not know where you are.”

“Only you, Ran. Only you would still want to see me after everything that happened.”

“I don't know what's the matter between you and the Goddess. I also don't want to blame you because Fadil was wrong. Nor do I justify the way the Goddess humiliated you in public. But I can what? He didn't say anything about his plans until we easily came to the event. Let alone the surprise plan for you guys, the event that should be her engagement just not spelled out to us, right?”

“You're right! Not only am I wrong here but Fadil too. Basically he was unfaithful and now his family accuses me of seducing Fadil. Are they sane?”

“Va, answer me! Do you still love Fadil?”
