Chapter 5: In Danger Part 8

"Eh... Where am I ?"

For some reason, the whole room turned dark.

I remember the last time I was shouting when the Minotaur approached Kahfi.

"(Am I dead?)"

Mind after thought I was feeling, because right now I don't know what happened after I shouted.

It feels hollow.

My whole body trembled as I thought about Kahfi. My whereabouts are unknown, not even a step can.

I checked if my whole body was intact, and it was still as it was. It's just that this feels hollow.

A flash appeared before my eyes. Suddenly I was in a room, which I knew.

"Ah, this room... I don't want to remember it back."

I tried to close my eyes not to look into the room I was in.

This room reminds me of back, the place where my parents were killed by the swing demon.

I don't want to remember it ! I really don't want to.

My eyes were forced to see the truth behind this room, there was even a flashback where, I just hid myself behind the corner of the room.

"Dad, Mom get me out of here!"

I saw myself trying to get out of the magic my mother created. His face was full of emotion when trying to help someone he loved.

What am I really ? I'm so bad as a human being. Promise to protect, but in fact not being able to protect a single person, even worse, I cannot do anything when someone is in danger. I do have the composure to do anything, but it doesn't help enough to protect someone.

It really frustrates me. Only able to duck in front of myself who was trying to get out of my mother's magic made.

Kahfi, Angga, Shiva, Adit, and Rian they are such good people, I want so much to protect them, no matter how weak I am, I want to protect them.

A flash appeared again before my eyes.

"Shut up!!!"

This room is filled with blood. The laughter from the Devil's swing made me so upset. My mom and dad were on the floor. A splash of blood stained my face.

"What am I really ?"

Again I asked myself.

"Dad, Mother !"

It was unfortunate to see my other self locked up watching her parents being killed, right before her eyes.

A flash appeared again in front of me.

This time I was taken to a room I knew again.

This is the last time I had dinner with my Mom and Dad.

A warm smile I felt from Father and Mother who were chatting with the other me.

Even though I can only see it, it feels so warm. I want to be like this forever. I would love to, but none of that will.

I realized I couldn't see them anymore like I used to.

My father suddenly appeared before me.

"Son, be a good person. Good people are great, great people are not necessarily good. Protect it ! Even if it's just a smile !"

I cried when I heard that word from my father.

Crying without sound.

I tried to hold back my crying as much as possible.

"Take it off, son."

"Dad..."

Suddenly my mother appeared beside my father.

"Your mom and dad are so happy to have a kid like you. Son, maybe right now that's suffering you, son. I'm sorry Mom and Dad, yeah."

My crying can no longer be contained.

"No, I should have apologized to you for not being able to save you. I'm the one who should be apologizing, Mom's Dad."

A hand from Mom held my shoulder. This hand is so transparent, like I met Akagami.

"*You don't have to apologize, son. Mom and Dad have been very happy since your birth. So you don't have to apologize. Who should apologize to us for not being able to see you grow up."

They slowly released his embrace.

"Mom and Dad are leaving, son. All you see right now is an illusion that I'm making."

It's like Akagami's making illusion magic to bring me together with her.

"Son, we're both gone and can't be by your side. This is the reality that exists. Come on, Ma."

They slowly moved away from me.

"Oh yes, son. Don't forget Dad's message, yeah. Protect your friend's friend."

And thank you for giving birth to me, I am so happy to have both parents like you. Thanks though.

Suddenly my heart pumped blood so hard, my eyes turned red.

"Magic Technique: Dark Lighting."

A flash of black lightning struck the Minotaur that was approaching Kahfi.

"Bagas."

"Bagas."

Flash after flash of black color appeared in this Cave.

I walked slowly towards Kahfi with my two Katanas.

Both my eyes are red. My heart beats so fast. The blood all over my body was flowing rapidly. My muscles feel so strong, it even seems like I am able to split a Mountain using my Katana.

I continued walking towards Kahfi who was lying on the ground, along with a flash of black color.

Some Minotaurs were terrified to see me, as if they were about to see death. A few more tried to attack me, but it was very easy for me to fight back.

I slashed him using a red-gloved Katana, it was so easy for me to get rid of the Minotaur that was approaching me.

When the Minotaur was hit by my slash, I saw them slowly disappearing. They cannot regenerate their own bodies.

That higher minotaur, too, was scorched from the lightning strike I created.

"Magic Technique: Dark Fire."

A black flame came out of my hand.

That black flame, I aimed at the few remaining Minotaurs.

Shiva and Kahfi can only see me. They were surprised to see me like this.

"What happened to you ?"

I stood right in front of Kahfi.

Without me knowing, it turns out that the charred Minotaur was still able to stand.

The minotaur stood right behind me, and tried to attack me.

I held onto my two Katanas tightly.

"Dual Katana Technique: The Slash of Darkness."

I turned my body around, and soon it might slash the Minotaur quickly.

Croot (Shearing sound)

The Minotaur's body became two halves, when I slashed its belly.

Slowly the land disappeared the entire Minotaur body I killed.

I saw Rian, Adit, and Angga who had fainted, while Kahfi and Shiva could only put on shocked and frightened faces when they saw me.

It could be said that the aura I was emitting was so powerful and so dark, that it frightened them both.

I looked back, right where the little girl was.

The little girl was so scared to see me.

My two Katanas, I plugged into the ground.

My consciousness began to fade, inexplicably this drained my stamina.

I looked at those who were still conscious, and said.

"I told you, I'll protect you."

Buuk (Land sounds)

I fell to the ground, my consciousness began to slowly disappear.

"Oy, Bagas."

Before I close my eyes, someone I know, who shouldn't be here.

"Oh, thank goodness there's Andre."

I fainted instantly.
