Nayla was still speechless as she held onto her cheek.
"Nay, let me know! Who the hell slapped you!" yell Alvin again.
Alvin held onto Nayla's shoulders, staring at her eyes. He really couldn't accept seeing a slap on his wife's cheek.
"Al, this ...,"
"Mother slapped him," replied someone who had just come from behind the door. And she's Sarah, Alvin's mother.
"Mother, but what did Nayla do until she slapped him?" alvin asked his mother.
"Nayla, do you want the mother to answer it or will you answer it yourself?"
"What the fuck? What do you really want me to do?" inner Nayla.
"Nay, what have you done until mom slaps you?" ask Alvin.
For Alvin his mother was an angel who could not have done anything wrong. If his mother slapped his wife, Naylah would have made a mistake.
"Al, I ..,"
Nayla is confused about what to answer to Alvin. He was convinced that Alvin's mother must have had other plans until she admitted that she was the one who slapped him.
Sarah looked at Nayla with her sly smile.
"Nay, answer me!" alvin shouted a little.
"Al, i...,"
"Don't yell at Nayla, Al! That was the wrong mother. Mom thought that Nayla was having an affair, so she slapped her. I just don't want her to betray you" explains Sarah, who, of course, has a million lies.
"I mean mother?"
"Tadi Nayla was talking to a man at the gate of our house, and she thought she was Nayla's lover. But it turns out that she was wrong, she just asked Nayla for her address" Sarah said.
Alvin breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that his wife had made a terrible mistake. Alvin always thought that his mother was really a good person.
"Mom, Al asked, next time you don't slap Nayla!" pinta Alvin to her mother.
"Yes, Al. I was acting that way because I didn't want anyone to hurt you, I'm sorry, Al!" said Sarah with the words made as sweet as possible.
"I'm sorry mom, too, Nay!" sarah told Nayla.
"Yes, Mom. Nay has forgotten it" said Nayla.
"Yes, already. Mom went back to mom's room. Rest up!" exclaim Sarah.
Before exiting her son's room, Sarah gives Nayla a sharp look. A look that hinted at a threat to him.
Alvin closed the door again, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Is it still sick?" alvin asked as he touched Nayla's cheek very gently.
"No, Al" answered Nayla.
"Yes, rest again!" exciting Alvin.
"Al, if I may know where you've come home this late?" ask Nayla to her husband.
"I .. I have a need for that,"
From the girly shown by Alvin, she knew that her husband was hiding something.
"Did you meet a girl named Princess?"
Alvin looked at Nayla, not knowing what to answer to his wife.
"Who's the Princess, Al?" ask Nayla again.
Alvin was silent.
"Is the Princess the woman you love?" ask Nayla again.
Alvin moved from where he was sitting, standing his back to Nayla.
"Al.." call Nayla.
Alvin took a deep breath and then exhaled. Many times he did that.
"Princess ... Princess is...The princess is the girl I have loved since childhood. I promised to marry her, but I denied it."
Hearing Alvin's confession, Nayla's body goes limp. He realized that Alvin married her not for love. But it still hurt when she heard it straight from her husband's mouth.
