Yu Jie had just stepped out of the residence when the guard who had escorted her there directly approached her, intending to escort Yu Jie back to leave the palace.
“Did anything just happen that you looked so happy like this?" asked the guard looking at the smile on Yu Jie's face.
“Sure, I got the help I need from General Yang," Yu Jie said briefly.
“May I know what it is, Young Master Jie?" the guard asked suddenly, with a sword swinging towards Yu Jie's neck.
Yu Jie clucked in annoyance as he repelled the attack, after which he said, “You eavesdropped?"
The guard smiled widely, after opening his mouth seemed to want to talk even though he could not because Yu Jie had already slashed his neck first.
Slashhh!!!
“Do not eavesdrop, you are not polite." Yu Jie with a grin.
Already Yu Jie knew indeed if the guard heard his conversation with Mu Yang, even so he chose to pretend not to know to be more pleasant.
“Now, where does Xiang He live?" Yu Jie was full of question marks, regretting not asking first before finishing off the guard.
Yu Jie finally stepped into the main residence being, it was a building that became the center of the palace.
“Xiang He should be there," Yu Jie murmured.
Yu Jie had not managed to enter the main residence when he heard the footsteps of the two guards, he went straight into the nearby bush to hide from them.
“Hey, don't you think this sucks?"
“What do you mean?"
“Waking up like this when it is almost impossible for any brave fool to mess around, we should just go home instead of doing this kind of useless work."
“Close your mouth before anyone hears it, you can be hanged in the middle of town for mocking duty."
The two warriors were currently conversing as they passed through the bush where Yu Jie was, Yu Jie immediately smiled sinisterly before taking action on the two.
Buahghhh!!!
Yu Jie slapped the hilt of his sword at each back of the head of the two, making the two warriors fall unconscious.
Successfully paralyzing the two, Yu Jie immediately dragged them away from there, to where people would likely not come because there was something she wanted to ask them.
Yu Jie only waited for one of the two to realize that it shouldn't take too long, it was true that one of them opened their eyes because Yu Jie was quite careful when hitting the sword hilt so as not to give too deep a cut.
“Who ka— ... Hmpph."
One soldier who had just come to a realization could not continue his words, his mouth was firmly fixed by Yu Jie with his palm.
“Do not dare to make a fuss or you die," Yu Jie threatened as he pressed his sword against the soldier's neck.
The soldier immediately nodded, cold sweat began to pour from his forehead because his friend was not yet aware so that only he was now threatened.
“Good, now answer every question from me." Yu Jie pulled the palm off the soldier's defender.
The soldier in front of Yu Jie was just silently waiting for the thing Yu Jie wanted to ask, able to shout but not dare as Yu Jie looked solemn with his threat.
“Tell me where the princess is." Yu Jie pressed his sword slowly down the soldier's neck.
The soldier understood that if he was slow to answer, his neck would first break, so that he answered as quickly as he knew.
“The princess until this morning still lives in her room, but after that she was taken away somewhere by the first prince," said the soldier in cold sweat.
Yu Jie raised his eyebrows, if it was like this then there was no certainty for him to meet Xiang He despite forcing his way to the room in question.
“Ti— no."
“Don't you dare lie to me!!!" Yu Jie was full of firmness in his voice.
During the speech, the sword in his hand kept Yu Jie pressed giving a deepening wound on the soldier's neck, making the soldier grimace in pain.
“Master, I really don't know, but if you really want to see him, I know where you should go" the soldier said in a trembling voice.
Yu Jie immediately pulled his sword away from the soldier's neck, after which said, “Then say."
The soldier immediately explained that if soon there will be a banquet to be held at the royal palace, the banquet was to welcome young scholars who successfully received the royal academy.
“Not long from now the palace will be opened to welcome the young generation of preeminent scholars, the first prince and princess will surely be present to lead the banquet while the king can not do it." The soldier conveyed what he knew.
“Bachelor? A student? What a coincidence," Yu Jie muttered.
Yu Jie asked the soldier what to do in order to be able to follow the banquet, this Yu Jie considered a great opportunity to be able to get to know the first prince as well as his minions as the party who would be his opponent.
“It's not hard, Sir. You must be successfully accepted to the royal academy competing with thousands of people, not to mention only those who are considered worthy will be able to get a chance to feel the palace banquet with the first prince as well as the princess."
Yu Jie nodded in understanding, not too long after again asking related things to make it clearer for him.
“Your explanation is easy to understand, I commend you for this," Yu Jie said after being satisfied with the information he had just obtained.
“Te— thanks, Sir. Now can I go?" ask the soldier.
Yu Jie only silently seemed to think, a moment later pointed at the soldier friend who was still closed in lost consciousness.
“Stop him first," Yu Jie said lightly.
“Sorry?"
“I said finish him off first, after doing so you can go as you wish." Yu Jie made clear his point.
The soldier looked at his comrade for a moment, not long after which raised his sword before swinging it strongly without a doubt.
Slashhh!!!
The warrior sword managed to slash the neck of its own comrade, its face without regret as if it had done the right thing.
“Wah, you're cruel too." Yu Jie noticed all of that.
“Don't just kill him, you tell me to slice every inch of his body I'll do as long as I'm safe, sir." said the soldier.
Yu Jie nodded before letting the soldier go, after which he stared at the soldier's departure with a sinister smile on his face.
“Egois, want to congratulations yourself, garbage ... what else?" Yu Jie with a fed up expression.
Yu Jie who from the beginning did only want to test whether the soldier was worth living or not now made a decision, it was quite easy to decide because the actions taken by the soldier were also as expected.
“The original nature of humans," Yu Jie said as he threw his sword.
Yushhh!!!
Jebbb!!!
Yu Jie's sword briefly floated before it stuck in the soldier's head, making the soldier collapse to lose his life following the friend he just finished off.
“Now, do I have to pursue my role as a learned young man?" Yu Jie while pulling the sword he had just thrown, was quite enthusiastic about playing the role if it meant that there was a chance for him to be able to boast of his cleverness.
