The Guzheng of The Moon

The Guzheng of The Moon
XLVII

In just a split second Yue was late, perhaps Gu Zheng had already fallen into the abyss. But catching a man's hand doesn't mean the problem is over.

Unfortunately, he used his injured right hand. Yue screamed, yet he himself did not know which one to scream for. For Gu Zheng or for his hands that were now feeling numb from the extreme pain.

They fell together, it was fortunate that Yue fell on the flat rocks so as to catch Gu Zheng's hand.

His blood poured out, soaked his sleeves and ended up dripping down Gu Zheng's cheeks. The man's face itself was already covered with blood from the sabetage of one of the assassins in his left eye.

It was no longer the assassins that Yue was worried about, as they had already run off the ridge. Fear of being the cause of Emperor Yuhan's death. But maybe that's not why they ran away. They also Yue could hear the sound of the clattering of horse legs which were quite a lot, crowded cheers as well as shouts were getting closer.

Maybe Gu Zheng's bodyguards, Inner Yue.

True, when the guards and Uncle Qing Xi began to cut down the herd of assassins in black. Chasing the assassins who escaped mercilessly. It was as if the prison sentence or hanging was not worthy enough for them.

"Your Majesty, hang in there!" qing Xi shouted from the top of the cliff.

"Detach," Gu Zheng's order finally.

"No way!"

"What are you doing?! It's all your fault! Because of you all this can happen!"

A little shocked when Ah Mei appeared out of nowhere. It doesn't matter now what way the girl came down here. Ah Mei quickly changed her position until it was as prone as Yue. Attempting to reach Gu Zheng's hand to provide help.

"Basic damn carrier girl!" hardik Ah Mei's.

No matter what Ah Mei said, Yue further tightened her hands that were wet with blood.

"Please, don't let go" sobbed Yue softly.

"Your Majesty, hold my hand. I beg you," pinta Ah Mei who also sobbed.

"If it's like this, we'll fall together," Gu Zheng softly said.

Yue shook his head quickly many times. Trying to get rid of those bad thoughts. I hope that whenever it doesn't happen.

"Please ...," sobbed Yue unceasingly even her voice sounded hoarse out of fear, "Uncle! Anyone!"

"Your Majesty," said Ah Mei who was still trying to reach Gu Zheng's arm.

"This is what you want, isn't it?" gu Zheng asked as he looked at Ah Mei blankly.

"No!" yelled Ah Mei in a frenzy, "not like this. Not you!"

And Gu Zheng noticed it.

Luckily, Ah Mei's hand reached Gu Zheng's left hand.

*****

He wanted to live and be happy with Yue, but that wish felt like too grandiose a wish.

Gu Zheng knew the condition of his body the most. His left eye could not be used to see. And before falling, he had slammed Yue's body until his own legs sprained.

It's hard to reach the cliff to climb. Especially the position of the cliff rocks that do not allow themselves to stand.

Because it was lightning fast, Gu Zheng grabbed Ah Mei's hand with his left. Can't bear to see Yue holding back the pain for her sake alone.

Yes, this is his decision. "I love you. Until whenever."

With a single push of a foot, Gu Zheng pulled Ah Mei's hand. Maybe her brother won't forgive her. But he could not let Ah Mei bother Yue any worse than this.

Not in the absence of himself. He'll bring Ah Mei to death together. That way he could protect Yue.

"Yang ...," said Ah Mei was cut off by surprise as her body seemed to float.

With the success of Gu Zheng grabbing Ah Mei's hand, he simultaneously released his hand grip on Yue. No. Gu Zheng let go of free. For it is only a matter of time until the link breaks off by itself, slippery with blood and sweat.

The choice on Gu Zheng's head was only one. Yue must survive. Aware of his foolish decision, but this was all that came to his mind now.

"No!"

Yue's shriek was heard further and further in Gu Zheng's ears. For a few seconds he closed his eyes as he felt his body begin to fall. Then open your eyes for the last time. In his eyes was only Yue. His gaze continued to be fixated on the girl who was relentlessly rebelling in Uncle Qing Xi's arms.

Somehow her smile broke when she saw Yue crying so much. But certainly not a happy smile. "In the next life, if God permits, I want to fall in love with you again, and vice versa."

"This is God's punishment for me ...."

"Wo ai ni, Yuan Yue Bi."
