The Guzheng of The Moon

The Guzheng of The Moon
XXV

Feellessly Yue was thrown into the prison. He did not even have time to defend himself as Gu Zheng and Ah Mei continued to cut his words. He accepted his fate with a heavy heart. Long enough Yue buried his face on his feet deeply. Sobbing from heartache.

Being betrayed by the person he loved the most and also his own best friend at the same time never crossed his mind. Bad memories flashed again as he realized he was really in prison right now.

"Why are you so hearty, Ah Mei-a?" isak Yue's. "What's my fault?"

Silent but still leaving the sound of the mouse great-grandson who was somewhere. Yue looked up to look outside the cell that was only illuminated by the light from the torch, swaying in the wind.

"Whoever, help me," murmured Yue.

"Look how pitiful you are" one guard sneered.

The guard did not even hesitate to make fun of him. Only rude and brazen words came out from the mouths of the guards who were now swarming in front of Yue's cell.

"Well, look at him. It's beautiful" said one guard.

"Should we taste it?"

"Aish, do you want to die?!"

"It's too dear to just waste it."

"Then, I used to," grinned from the greatest of the guards.

Of course their talk made Yue frown even more at his place. And right now Yue also decided to hate the place called the palace. At once its inhabitants. Especially those who made it like this.

They are still fighting, who will first enter the cell. Yue could only stare at them sharply as one of the guards tried to open the cell padlock. Not to make them afraid, but instead they cheered happily.

He would not let this be so, Inner Yue. He's got a quick leg-well, pretty fast, so this will be his first escape attempt.

Just now he was going to put up the horses to run and lung. Someone from one of the cells shouted 'Your Majesty' hysterically. Suddenly it made the guards and Yue startled. Afterwards the guards disperse for fear of being discovered.

"Hey, you want to run?"

Initially Yue did not respond to that question. He didn't even know where the sound came from. So Yue decided to shut up and not answer.

"Curtain, are you deaf?" said that voice again. "We're gonna run tonight, you wanna come?"

Yue continued to hesitate to respond. First rule, don't trust anyone. Yue had just made his own rules a moment ago. Given that he easily believes in others and the results, this is where he curls up.

"Hoi, you want to?!" ask the voice that is getting higher.

"D-I don't know how?" reply Yue hesitated.

"Jeez, just leave it to us."

Yue was very sure now, that voice came from the cell in front of him. It was dark so he did not see that anyone was there. But then a brownish-skinned girl approached the cell. Now he could see the girl clearly. Even with the help of a dim torch light.

"Hm, what have you done, miss? To make yourself thrown into prison."

Yue chose not to answer that question. Answering him was like sowing salt on his wound.

"Smoke, huh? All right, it's up to you" said the girl.

"Lai Xin, what's your name?" ask the girl.

"Yes."

"Ah, it's time," Lai Xin said. He immediately put his hand on her hair. And take something like a pin.

Without taking a long time, Lai Xin had managed to open the lock of her cell. But before, the girl made sure that no guards were hanging around. Afterwards he stood right before Yue. Separated only by wooden cells.

"Whoever you are, Miss. I like you, so I'll help you escape," Lai Xin said.

Lai Xin quickly struggled with Yue's cell padlock. And, thank you God. This is the most relaxing event of the whole day. Finally he could breathe something called freedom. Apart from that it is not completely free.

"Come on."

Lai Xin guided Yue to get out of the prison. Along with a few others that Yue was certain they were the girl's friends. They are like professional thieves or the most wanted bandits. They're very organized.

Upon arrival outside the prison Yue saw some guards already lying on the ground. Lucky they didn't die, maybe.

"Why is it so long?" grumbled a man. It seemed that man had knocked the guards unconscious.

"Sorry, sorry. They just kept being there," Lia Xin replied as she was.

"Come on."

Again they slipped in the darkness and ended up on a wall of the guardrail. One of them jumped easily through the wall. Then second and third. Now it was just the rest of Yue, Lai Xin and another girl.

"Do I have to jump over that too?" asked Yue innocently.

"If you want to stay and have tea with His Majesty, that's your choice. Whatever," Lai Xin replied.

Yue swallowed his saliva. He's afraid. The problem was that he had never jumped over a three-meter-high wall. "I-I'm not sure I can jump it."

"I knew. Looking at the shape of your body, even a blind person knows, you don't fit into something like this" Lai Xin said. "Hong help her."

The girl standing behind Lai Xin directly positioned one of her thighs and both of her hands as a pedestal. Lai Xin was already jumping on the fence, preparing to pull Yue.

On the count of three, Yue could easily jump over the fence. Thanks to Hong and Lai Xin's help. Just as Yue was about to catch his breath, the three of them were already greeted with a row of horses.

"The day before dawn, it's better to hurry," said the man who beat up the guards.

Agilely Lai Xin and Hong jumped onto their horse backs. Leaving Yue Yang still standing on the ground.

"I-I won't be coming," Yue said softly to Lai Xin.

"Where are you going?"

The question that Yue felt was very hitting her chest. Lai Xin was right, he already had no home. Perhaps Hwang's uncle and aunt had hated him as well. Or maybe punished like him. He worries about them, but at the same time does not want to drag them into danger by protecting himself.

"Follow, I know you don't have a destination" Lai xin said.

The girl kept turning around with her horse. Waiting for Yue's answer. Until finally Lai Xin handed one of the horse harnesses to Yue.

"Whatever you want to go to, that's your decision."

They had absolutely no idea when someone was eavesdropping from behind the wall. That person had even been trailing them since getting out of prison. Afterwards the man ran quickly to the palace, to inform him that there were prisoners who had escaped...
