The Frost Heart

The Frost Heart
Dian's Story

My name is Dian Prakoso, a 25-year-old who is not highly educated, but has high hopes. My life wasn't so easy and my parents weren't family. I have to work to meet the needs of my life and help parents who work odd jobs at the age of 10 years. Back then, my body was too thin and underpowered from the children and there wasn't much I could do. But for what I am a man, but always subject to despair. I always came forward with my thin body and always looked for ways to earn money with that weak physique. I tried many ways, such as shoveling, selling newspapers, selling bus tickets, and busking. But until I finally found the passions I liked. That is, make snacks and sell them.

Because I am a malnourished child, so I often starve and eat snacks is one of the activities that I like while meeting my needs. Because of my family's small economy, I can't snack freely like other children. To overcome this, I often look for grasshoppers in the field of my village. I caught the grasshopper with coconut palms. I'm going to bash the grass in the field, and make locusts easy to catch. I was very happy with the rain and even the rain was the second thing I liked after the snacks, because the grasshoppers would be more easily caught and fat. I'm going to poke their heads and fry them in my kitchen. I have to be careful when frying that grasshopper. Because if I get caught by my mother, I'll be sprayed by my mother for hours.

I'll laugh when I remember the incident, mom will lecture me can discuss everywhere. For example, telling about our lives that are lacking, telling about incompetent fathers, and others. Oh well, at that time my mother hated the father who considered incompetent to make a living, and I also I hated my father at that time for the same reason as a result of my mother's doctrine. But later on after adulthood, I realized that making a living was not as easy as being imagined.

From then on, I learned how to make snack snacks from some research and muscle training. Then I tried to sell at my school, until I graduated high school. It turns out that it is selling sweet snacks at school and my homemade snacks become a favorite thing of my friends. At the time of sales in high school, I was often called Mang Cemil by my friends. I have no problem with that nickname, the important thing is that I can get what I want.

I attended my village primary school. When I went up to a higher level, I moved to another city where there was a school of choice and achievement that was in accordance with the wishes of my parents. Although my family is low-economy, but they forced me to go to school, until I finally graduated to that high school. But after that, I didn't go to college. Even though my parents forced me to go on, I couldn't bear to see any more suffering. I immediately found a job with my High School diploma and that's where I just felt the difficulty of finding a job.

With this High School diploma, I can't do much and many jobs can't be entered, because special requirements are needed. In this world, there is always a lot of rapid and widespread change. The needs of people are getting higher, so the fulfillment must also be higher. They are the fulfillment of needs must meet the satisfaction of people who have increased, so that one of them makes high conditions on the recruitment of workers.

Those undergraduate graduates will be more accepted by employment than those who graduate high school, like myself. They are better and more competent than they are in advanced school. What determines, though, is the character of his workforce. If there is a comparison, a high school graduate with character and ethics is better than 100 undergraduate graduates who are arrogant and uncharacteristic.

But what is power. The nature of the world now is changing so very quickly. Those job providers will not have time to judge their full character and heart value. They need the best HR immediately which means the choice is in the scholars.

I was walking around town looking for a job. However, what I got was odd jobs, like building porters. It reminds me of my father who worked as a herd and felt what kind of suffering he was. I was told to be a slave, to work hard, but I did not get a satisfactory payment.

A lot of things that prevent the barrier in carrying out my business and only 2 years, my business can only grow. Remember that it has just evolved, not developed. I was so troubled to take care of my own business, and very salute to the entrepreneurs who made the job successful. I don't know how much they sacrificed to create jobs like this.

But even though I'm tired, I'm happy to be able to do what I love. Now I'm making a new job in the area of eye injuries and parcels. When I celebrated myself who could make such a feat, trouble ensued.

One day, I was approached by a loan shark that I loaned the money to. He's charging because my loan is up. I told her to wait another 3 days to pay off my debt to him. He also did not accept and forcibly took the goods in my place of business. After that, he said that he would return within three days to collect his debt.

This made me very stressed, especially the next day there was no merchandise. When I was in my office, there was someone knocking on my door.

"Hey, Dian. It's me Frans..." Said the man who knocked on my office door.

"French? Oh, just go in. The door's unlocked."

I was so surprised who knocked on my office door. He is Frans and is my best friend. He set up a small workshop, but with his shrewdness could make it a great success. Now he had many branch workshops and became the richest man in the city. I was surprised, because I thought that my friend would forget myself after success and would never visit this poor me.

After taking a seat, we told him so many things. Understandably, we didn't meet for a long time. We are entrepreneurs who are still developing careers.
