RLM chapter 19

When Audrey came out of the hospital, unaware that someone was watching her, she was about to say hello and take her to the cafe where she is currently sitting with her best friend, audrey just got into a taxi.

"What's he doing here?" ask Aunt Lauren to be curious.

"Who?" aunt Lauren asked, both looking in the same direction.

"That, my son-in-law, looks like he's healthy. But, why did he get out of the hospital?"

"Audrey, so he's your son-in-law? Byakta's wife?"

Aunt Lauren simply nodded, confirming her friend's guess.

"It's a good thing your son has a wife like her, it's a pity you didn't invite me to their wedding" the doctor said frowning.

Aunt Lauren does not discuss her best friend's complaints at all, because her mind is still drifting toward the relationship between Byakta and Audrey. Instantly Aunt Lauren shut her mouth when one thing came to her mind.

"Hey! What's wrong with you?" The doctor was astonished by Aunt Lauren's sudden reaction.

"I think she's pregnant, so come here to check on her, '" Aunt Lauren became excited at the time.

"Pregnant? You mean she's pregnant?" ask the woman's doctor.

"Yes, pregnant! I'll have a party soon" Aunt Lauren said excitedly.

"Wait on! You seem to have misunderstood me, I mean she's not pregnant, Ren," the woman's doctor said.

'How could Audrey be pregnant, while she never checked herself into me' The doctor muttered inwardly.

"Where do you know she's not pregnant? Obviously she came here, if not check the pregnancy, then why did she come here?" There was a dislike from Aunt Lauren's words.

Aunt Lauren shut her mouth in disbelief, why did she just find out that Audrey had a brother who was seriously ill, the transplant operation was a major operation, but why did the girl hide this from her.

Not that now they were family, then why didn't he tell her all this? Aunt Lauren became sad to remember that.

At the time of the wedding, the girl only came with a woman whom she referred to as her mother, other than that there was no more, because the girl said that her father was dead.

"W-how do you know everything?" ask Aunt Lauren.

"His sister was my husband's patient, they were just two brothers, her father died a few years ago, now they live with her stepmother, who I know her stepmother often behaves badly to them, she said, but I salute her, she's strong, hardworking and responsible, you're lucky to have her as a daughter-in-law" explained the doctor at length.

Aunt Lauren glazed over her best friend's explanation, not expecting the many secrets Audrey kept.

"Actually before he died, his father left a lot of property, but was drained without waste for the cost of treating his sister and also the cost of poya-poya stepmother. The girl worked odd jobs in the end, in order to still be able to finance her sister's treatment" the doctor said again.

Aunt Lauren could no longer hold back her tears, nor could she speak of hearing half of her daughter-in-law's life story.

"You know all about him, how can you?"

The female doctor smiled "Because we were neighbors, so we decided to move house and sell our old house. Did he ever tell you about his life? I see you look surprised" the doctor asked with a probing look.

"Ah, let's talk another time, yeah. I have business elsewhere, ok, see you." Aunt Lauren pamit hurry.

So many questions were lodged in his mind, he would go to Byakta's office, he would ask this all to his nephew.

'has she really no heart, so taking advantage of a weak girl like her, just look I'll hit her later' Aunt Lauren's grouse all the way to Byakta's office.
