The First High School Love

The First High School Love
Chapter 25 Class Increase

Matari did well in the classroom exam, except for the IPS Accounting and Mathematics exam. But with the help of Mia, who was sitting next to him alphabetically, he was able to do well. Instead, Matari gave an English answer so that Mia could do well too. Mia is first in class. Followed by Haidar, then Matari. Mia and Haidar are both smart but Mia is more serious. The difference in their ranking points was only 1 point last semester. Matari points were a bit far away about 5 points, but still made him ranked third among his friends.

When the exam ended on Saturday, surprisingly, Bu Anita called her and her friends who joined their class representative band yesterday.

“Sorry, I was so busy that I didn't know you guys were forming a class band whose performance was good for the closing of the show. Your songs that are not too loud and easy to understand and listen to, make me moved to make you guys this,” said Bu Anita while removing some copyan CDs from his desk drawer.

Matari looked at her friends in confusion.

“Masing each, I copied the one-on-one cd class 3 farewell event yesterday. To Matari, Ricko, Gilang, Reza and Lisa. Thank you for being a part of class 1 F. Especially you Lisa, even though your grades are not very good, I see you have talent in other fields. Keep yes,” said Bu Anita while handing over the vcd copy one by one to his students.

“Thank you very much, Mom. Sorry we didn't win the best performance. All the champions were brought in class 2,” said Gilang while watching the copy-an cd from Bu Anita with a little sadness.

“Nothing. I'm glad you're participating. Matari's voice is good. Just need to sharpen it. Gilang and Ricko are also good games, I'm amazed, you guys are really special. Moreover, Reza, although likes to pay late cash class, but the time to drive yesterday, I know, you have pent-up talent as well. You're all special to Mom. Thank you very much yes,” said Bu Anita at length. “When the poetry contest yesterday, I also heard from Bu Tasya, how you, Matari and Lisa practiced. I'm sorry, I didn't come and see you that day, because there was an obstacle. But I saw it on the school tape. Especially for Matari and Lisa, I have put your stage recording there. I'm sorry that I never supported much for you. Sorry if I am late sometimes. It's often too late to come to school, too late to know that you guys are amazing kids.”

Matari could see the eyes of her famous fierce homeroom teacher glazed over. Maybe because he did not expect much of anything from himself and his friends all this time. Maybe even not expect to give an appearance, considering he does not care much for the students in his class, compared to other homeroom teachers. Matari recalled, in her phone, Davi told her that her class, 1st class B, Bu Tasya was very active and supported her children to perform. Even advocating a funny little drama. Davi and Abdi were not cast, but helped her class prepare for the drama.

Matari then realized, there is a good side in Bu Anita that he did not see before. In the past, Matari could only see the fierce and killer Bu Anita.  His tired face was always covered with his terrifying aura. Matari never cared about Ms. Anita. No matter the mileage it had to travel that far every

morn. He feels much more fortunate. It's unimaginable to be Miss Anita.

Matari smiled amusedly as she saw herself on the stage of the vcd pension that was given to Bu Anita. Next to her was Sandra watching while sleeping in her room.

“Who is dandanin elo?” sandra asked then as Matari finished watching.

“Nyokapnya the Lisa,” says Matari.

“Hmmm, bagusan lo style fit in the poetry race according to me. Who pas pensi, the costume does not match the song. But no papa, I think your appearance is better than other 1st grade children. Unfortunately, I did not come because there is a Math remedi in my school,” said Sandra while chewing her favorite snack chiki.

“Iya. I've been waiting for you in fact,” timpal Matari while turning off the vcd player and switching to tv, watching MTV.

“Number, I can't Math. My father. Later if you have entered your school, teach yes. I am tired of learning with my friends. Same way!”

"Lo think I can math?"

"Yes, at least, better than me."

“Oh yes, btw, your school move has been done everything? Yesterday when I met Aunt Dina at school again. Mama you pity ya, look really tired.”

“Yes, Mama take overtime straight away. Kaya wants to avoid Eyang as well. You know, you don't like Mama. What's wrong in her eyes.”

“Kalo don't like the power too much deh, San. If it's just wrong, we're all affected, too. Especially if you are not at home. Expanded to me.”

“No, Ri. Bede. I don't like Mama. Try his wife Om Wiryo, the youngest son of Eyang, friendly with Aunt Yaya. Be me more and more recalcitrant, rarely at home.”

“That's because belom aja, San. Om Wiryo is Eyang's favorite child. Yes, he must be afraid of Aunt Yaya ngadu. If only wayward, Kak Tiwi's bandits compared to us. We are still better than Kak Tiwi. Do you know his case? Anyone who does not know or pretends not to know.”

“Means I like sprains. We who are home are never praised or defended. Tiwi's sister who obviously kissed at school got a ban not scolded Eyang. Let alone the children of Om Wiryo, the boys, Lucky the same Brian. Forgive the way, even though it is still SD class 3 and class 1. I want to go to the fish pond Eyang if I come here. Where if you give money to them is very loyal. That boy was given two hundred bamboo shoots at once. Very much me.”

“That's envious, the name. Hahaha..,”.

“What is it?”

“Cycles. Don't do it. But yes it is. I already have the determination that I want to graduate from college, keep out of here.”

Sandra took a breath. Staring sadly at his own reflection in the mirror of his room.

“Tomorrow Saturday, receive the report card, who's coming, Ri?” asked Lisa while sitting next to Matari who was listening to her walk and was engrossed in reading comics.

Matari looked at Lisa who had changed T-shirts, but subordinates of Junior High still attached to her body. He just remembered that day was the last day of their class meeting, a simple race between classes before receiving the report card. Class season, not many class meetings are contested by the school. Only inter-class football, hygiene competitions and mading competitions are installed in each class only. The last two races

it passed yesterday. As for the football race, the final round is today. Both are contested by the 2nd class. Class 1 is only until the quarter-finals, even by class 1 C, which is touted as the home of amateur sports athletes. Not only students, but students are good at any sport.

“Ndon't know. Maybe Aunt Dina. If not the abomination, then usually come to the homesteader class. This is usually the case if I'm SD.”

“Oh yes, Aunt Dina kudu took Sandra's. Why can't you?”

“Eyang will have to take have a Moon. The oldest grandson in the house always gets privileges, Lis!”

Lisa took a breath. “Try to be represented by me, Ri.”

Matari just smiled thinly. “Gue is common, really, Lis.”

“Fortunately next year Sandra school is here. So maybe you can all take Aunt Dina.”

“Iya, I hope so too. Because honestly, I'm lazy to go to the homeroom in the afternoon just to take a report card. Sometimes if not in accordance with Dad's expectations, I was still being homed in during the trip home. And that while riding a motorbike?! Just shadow you! The violence is obvious kaga, buzzing doang it feels!”

“Emang Lo father if angry how? Kan doi pendiem it said lo..”.

“Kalo angry his words over and over again. Lo shadow yourself deh.”

“Haahahah, yes already, yes already. Uh Thea's still in Osis, huh? He really wants to be the son of Osis next year.”

“Yaaaa, is she popular. Who knew you could win over Brother Ben the next year?”

“Kak Ben amazing emang. Universal fans. The doain cepet break up is also a lot. I don't but.”

“Ya same…. Not my type of rich teen idol that.”

“Elo loves the rich Davi. Slowly but surely. Yes no?”

Matari's cheeks blushed red. “What the hell, Lis?”

“Udah wants to go up to class 2. Don't slow! What kind of person is it later? Or maybe you are even in class?”

“Hhahaha yes already if samber people. Not my soul mate.”

“Lou's style. Btw, the horrors of class sharing will be made on Saturday before entering school?”

“Iya said that anyway. H-2 means?”

“You came together not?”

“Boleeehhh..”

“Yes I'll pick up later. It will be right before leaving I call lo.”

“Siap. Lo so to Bangka Belitung?”

“So. Bokap has something to do with his business. It's a little long. Understand the coordination with regional officials there.”

“So this holiday I'm alone again dong?”

“Eh yes, Thea to Jogja huh, to Mbahnya place? Duh is delicious. Want to Jogja.”

“Hahahaha, yes get there. Often abroad but into the country rarely do you?”

“Can tomorrow to Bangka Belitung.”

“Iya, yesaa. Uh oiya, you know yet? We want a parting gift to Bu Anita.”

“Who is following?”

“We-we doang, formed our band yesterday. Thea Plus. If other children, you know yourself, many do not like Ms. Anita.”

“Yes, because they were never put on.”

“Well, there it is. That's why I don't want to ask for his dues. Thea who is the class president is not good. He said the class cash will be divided again into us in the form of a class shirt. Again on the same court Reza said. It will probably be on the first school day.”

“Bby. Don't be expensive, but yes. Let the kids not mind the dues.”

“Hmmm, can't dong. I went to expensive places. Bye, you guys I pull as much as you can.”

“Basic lo, ah! I want to read comic.”

***

The distribution of reports on Saturday ahead of the class holidays, crowded with parents as usual students. Matari just sat in front of the class looking one by one the parents of her classmates came. In the distance looks Papinya Davi came wearing a white shirt. According to Matari, Davi looks similar to her Papi. Yang Matari heard as well, Papinya is a senior official in the Health department. His vibes appeared to be visible in the way he walked and greeted the parents of the other students.

Davi did not look at him at all this time. She was busy following her Papa into the classroom. Matari took a breath. Only a few students were left waiting for their parents to arrive. Time has shown at 9am. His mother Lisa and mother Thea had even come and sat inside with their children. Matari is alone. He knew, he had to prepare the sentence that would be said to Bu Anita if the vice of his student's parents could not come.

Last semester, Aunt Dina represented. Because Sandra's school filed for admission one day. This semester, it cannot. Because it coincides on the same day. Aunty Dina is trying to come if it has not passed the maximum reception schedule which is 1 pm.

However, for Matari it was a slim possibility. Remember the journey from Sandra school and Matari school itself takes approximately one hour. Not if there's still something to take care of, because this is the last report card acceptance at Sandra's school before her move. Matari took a deep breath

any more. Then he realized that no one could wait for him.

***

His father came to Maghrib. After bathing and praying, Matari's father immediately got ready to go to Bu Anita's house. Matari showed her the address of Bu Anita that she got this afternoon after reporting that her father would come later in the afternoon to her house.

Out of pity, Ms. Anita showed Matari's report card a glance. Tell him that he still remains in rank 3. Matari only responded with a smile. I am glad to know its value. Because of the obligation, Bu Anita still warned Matari so that his father must remain the one to take. Matari did not mind, as long as given the leeway to take it later in the afternoon at Bu Anita's house.

“Bekasi yaaa...,” timpal Her Father.

Matari nodded as she imagined riding a motorcycle with her father for hours towards Bekasi. His two previous SD class guardians were people around here, so the distance wasn't too far away. Then Aunt Dina approached suddenly, handing the car keys to her sister-in-law.

“Mas Bim, use my car only. Partially pity Matari if riding the motorbike night-night,” said Aunt Dina.

“Already, Bim. Just massage. Mother told me to. Quickly depart by car,” said Eyang Putri firmly. “Mom don't want you to go home at night into the room ya smell of your motor exhaust, annoying. Matari can also get sick when riding a motorbike for hours and hours commuting Jakarta-Bekasi.”

Predictably, the strange reasons Eyang. Especially since her two children moved into Eyang's house. Dad was sleeping in the main room where Aunt Dina and Om Budi before moving here. But since the change and Aunt Dina sleeps in the master bedroom even though her husband is gone, Dad does sleep in Eyang's room every time he comes to the weekend. In the large room there are two beds. The bed was used by Eyang Kakung when he was sick, so that the Princess would be easier to wake up and sleep without having to pass through her husband who was lying sick. Now, that bed is no longer in use. At least Matari's father if coming to stay overnight or Om Wiryo if it comes for service in Jakarta a few nights.

“Good, Mom. Dik Dina I borrowed first yes,” said Dad while carrying the key

go to the front of the house and start the car.

Matari followed behind him after bidding farewell with Eyang and Aunt Dina. His jeans jacket was carefully tightened because the zipper was almost loose. The jeans were Matari's only jacket. It also belongs to the former Moon which he has been reluctant to use again.

After taking out Aunt Dina's old antelope car with great difficulty, Dad managed to take Matari to the highway. As expected, his father had not driven a car for a long time. Long time. That's why his father felt the trouble to take out the Om Budi antelope parked neatly by Aunt Dina who was used to carrying his own car. Matari's father runs the loan car carefully and slowly.

“Dad, if we are rich in gini, can kemaleman up to the house of Bu Anita,” said Matari plain.

“Iya, yes. Patience yes, this is Daddy also trying hard,” said Father Matari without turning his head.

Matari took a breath, then put up her earphones. He tried to enjoy the night of Jakarta with a car trip that late.

***

The antelope car turned carefully in the spacious courtyard of Bu Anita's house. It was 9 p.m. The small house is located in the middle. To his left and right are the walls of another, larger house. Bu Anita's house does not have a fence that can be called properly. The small house looks quite old and small between the large yard, making Matari feel afraid to enter the house. She holds

tight end of his father's shirt. His father, although hesitant, still walked into the area of the house. Already some people are asked and according to his characteristics it is true that is the house of Bu Anita. They called it a House Like a Ghost House that was broken and dark. Contrast with the house around it that is bright and more modern.

The light from inside the house is the only light. Even the terrace does not have lights to just give light to the surrounding yard.

Matari was quite amazed to find out that the old house had a doorbell. According to Matari, knocking on the door of the house alone must be quite audible in the area of Bu Anita's house is very quiet and quiet. His father pressed the doorbell slowly, the same fear enveloping him. But because Matari looked more repulsive, inevitably, his father had to appear stronger and bolder.

“Assalamualaikum..” his father said after pressing the bell.

Waiting for about 5 minutes, the door lock was opened from the inside with difficulty. Matari breathed in relief. At least there are people. At least he should not return in vain in the midst of such a gripping atmosphere.

An old man with a cane answered Dad's greeting. “Walaikumsalam warrohmatullahi wabarokatuh.”

“Sorry Sir, Good night. Is this really the home of Mother Anita Kusuma, a teacher of state Junior High School?” ask me politely.

The old man nodded. “Shortly yes. I call. Just sit inside. Outside many mosquitoes.”

Matari and her father took off their footwear. The amazing thing is, inside the house looks bright and far from the word creepy. Like a house in general, although the furniture is old and mostly of wood. The house looks warm. Lots of photos on the wall. There are several paintings and also calligraphy verse chairs as well as their meaning made of gold colored thread. Far inversely proportional to the impact of the house from the outside.

“Wah, sorry, sorry I again nemenin my son sleeping. For a moment, I made a drink. Must be tired all the way here,” said Bu Anita who came out wearing a worn pink pajama suit that has sleeves and long pants. “Bapak just go inside, rest. These are my guests from school. This is Matari and her father huh?”

Matari just nodded and greeted the old man who turned out to be the parents of Bu Anita politely, after his father experienced him first. The man then went into another room that was different from Bu Anita came out earlier.

Ms. Anita came out of the kitchen and put warm tea drinks and cassava chips setoples. Matari greeted her teacher, followed by her father. The bright living room lamp light clearly highlighted the face of Bu Anita. Matari could see her face that looked Tired and lacking in rest. Matari felt bad to come on nights like that. If only he could ask to be delayed so tomorrow morning. But his father would not.

“Sorry yes Mom, we were a bit stray so until here it was night,” said Matari's father lied.

Matari said nothing. Along the way was the thing he most wanted to avoid again if he could. His father was very slow to drive. Too careful and looks like a teenager who has just learned to drive a car.

“No papa, Sir. I also had Irham's parents, Matari's classmates. Coincidentally Father and Mother just returned from out of town and immediately stopped by here,” said Bu Anita with a smile.

Unlike when teaching, Ms. Anita is actually quite friendly when talking to fellow adults like her.

“Iya, Mom. Sorry in advance, I have to take my son's report card at night. Understandably I work outside the city, in the Karawang area. Only Saturday and Sunday I can come visit my children who live with their grandmother in Jakarta. Previously it could represent my sister, but because

the schedule clashed, so I inevitably have to come here tonight, Mom,” Matari's father said at length.

Matari himself was quite amazed, his father could talk that much to others as well. Matari felt confused and upset, Bu Anita can also be friendly when talking to fellow adults. But why would they be so different when dealing with a much younger person like him?

“Hmmm, this is how it is, sir, the name is also the struggle of parents. I understand. I myself every day PP Bekasi Jakarta take the train. My husband's a building foreman who came home indeterminate. But I hope that in the future it can be attempted by someone who takes the report card Matari, even though it is too late. The class will usually wait until 4 p.m. Please be helped. Because this doesn't happen every day. A year only twice, sir. Can't you take a minute for the important event of your son?”

Matari saw his father was about to protest but was stopped. Finally, his father just threw a smile.

Bu Anita handed over Matari's report card gently but firmly. “Congratulations Matari, you're up in class. Your value is satisfactory. You are in the 3.” ranking

Matari smiled even though she already knew her previous value. Matari's father took the report card and only took a quick look. Then compare it to last semester. Without saying anything, his father then put the report card behind his jacket.

“Thank you very much, Mom, for your guidance all this time. Sorry if Matari ever had any wrong words or actions, whether intentionally or not. Thank you so much once again,” said Father Matari with a smile.

“Sama-sama, Sir. Matari, forgive Mom if there is a wrong deed and word too. Even though Mother was a teacher, Mother was still an ordinary human being who did not escape mistakes. You should be proud, Matari can sit on

rank 3 at once can perform well singing with his band during the poetry reading competition and performing arts school yesterday. It is not easy to maintain achievement amid his talent in other fields. Moreover, he is good at archery like his grandfather. I see, which I heard?”

Hearing that, Matari's father just laughed softly. “Indeed. But it would be nice for him to just focus on learning and reaching his goals as high as possible.”

Anita did not respond to Matari's father's words. Matari knew, Her father never liked her to pursue other fields than archery. Archery was also because he was wearing his Grandfather's used equipment.

After signing the report card receipt book, Father gestured for Matari to have tea and leave. Cassava served had eaten Matari, but it tasted bland.

“Good Mom. Excuse me first. It's night,” Dad said as he stood up and reached out.

Ms. Anita replied politely. “Thank you, sir, have been willing to come here to pick up the report card Matari.”

“Sama-sama, Mom. Thanks back. Come on, Matari, say hello to Ms. Anita.”

Matari complied and greeted Ms. Anita. Bu Anita hugged Matari up on the front porch. It was as if giving spirit without the slightest word from his lips.

Still slowly, Matari's father tried to pull out the antelope Aante Dina from Bu Anita's yard. Fortunately, the land is quite large, so his father can remove it easily. The hand of Bu Anita seemed to be hidden for a long time even though Matari was staring back at the house.

“So yesterday you performed?” ask Matari's father suddenly.

Matari. His premonition said, Her father would not like it if Matari was honest and told her the real reason. “Taken by temen, lack of people.”

His father moved the clutch carefully, almost the engine died, but luckily it kept running. Then take a breath. “Pantes your value down.”

Unbelieving his father's response, Matari retrieves the report card that his father had removed from his jacket. Matari opened it carefully and looked for the meaning of his father's words. Matari is down 2 points compared to before. But he still ranks 3. Only two points are sourced each of the IPS value of Accounting and Mathematics. Two subjects he disliked and mastered. In addition, the archery value is very good, touching the value of A, following below the value of Mading AB and Scout B.

Matari took a breath and then put her report card in the same place. There is no word of congratulations or pride. No words of spirit. His father who is still trying to run the car Aunt Dina very slowly and carefully. He felt that this journey would be longer than it should be.
