The First High School Love

The First High School Love
Chapter 21 Without Words

On Monday, the first day of the holiday, Matari began to open LKS which had been marked with a post note a few days ago. The first LKS to open was IPS History. He looked up at the wall clock in his room which showed at half 10 a.m. Sandra had left since nine o'clock to Lia's house to do chores together. Her sister, is not on holiday, as the national exam for High School level will be held in May.

Matari stared at some of her PR lists reluctantly. Wanted to do it but no spirit. Finally he moved to the backyard, where Mbok Kalis was cleaning the grass.

Mbok Kalis is a little older than his father. Follow the Princess when she was her age. She has been married three times, divorced twice, and the last time her husband died. Mbok Kalis has many grandchildren. Probably about 5 or 6 of his three children were born from each of his marriages.

Mbok Kalis is a quiet but tenacious person. Rarely talk, rarely mince words, and rarely interfere in the household affairs of his employer's family. House of Mbok Kalis in Cirebon. She would occasionally take the train home on weekends to visit her children in turns. His reserved nature was well liked by Matari. Often after being scolded by Father, Eyang or Moon, he would sit in the backyard. Sometimes while crying, sometimes only pouting, or sometimes while grumbling, Mbok Kalis will faithfully accompany his small employer but without talking anything.

For Matari, that was more than enough. His presence is there, but not to give other wobbles, which he gets almost every day. He will only be busy with his work, until Matari feels better and asks for warm tea. However, Mbok Kalis will actually be a little open and friendly to Matari, a small employer who is his favorite because many are at home compared to others. And often accompanied him in the backyard like this without bothering him in the least.

“Mbok, what snacks are there?” matari asked while squatting near Mbok Kalis.

“What does it want?” tanyanya turned.

“Pengen pedes-pedes, Mbok,” says Matari.

“Neng want to get it? Yes already later Mbok bikini rujak or know gejrot, depending on what ingredients in the refrigerator yes,” said Mbok Kalis while returning to his job.

“Asyiiikkk, thanks, Mbok. Where to, Mbok?”

“To his home Bu Indira, food discussions for later tasyakuran and arisan Saturday.”

“Many came, Mbok?”

“Not knowing me. Of course, all members of RT/RW all. Richly his fathers were invited as well.”

“What's a lot of money, Mbok? How come so many people?”

“Lack of knowing me, neng. Kaya all citizens anyway nyumbang snack each.”

Matari. It is fitting Mbok Kalis tidying the grass in the backyard. Usually only if there will be a certain event the grass is tidied up. The rest will be allowed to rise up to many mosquitoes and other insects. If you can, I'll cut a little. If there is no time and there is protest, the protest will be punished by Eyang to cut the grass.

His house phone rang. Matari immediately walked to the phone table that had been returned to its original place. At Eyang's house, anyone who heard the phone had to pick up the phone. Mbok Kalis is not obliged to lift it, because a lot of homework he has to take care of.

“Halo, assalamualaikum..”.

“Walaikumsalam.. Hi, Ri, it's me..”.

Matari stared at the wall clock in her house that still showed at 10. It used to be that during school hours, Davi would call at 2am after they arrived at their respective homes. If the holiday is indeed more advanced schedule, and Matari forgot about it.

“Oh, elo, Dav..”

“What's first?”

“Again in the same backyard si Mbok.”

“Ohhhh.

“To be willing to play, but really laper.”

“You want me to go there to bring you something?”

“Hmmmm, no need, Dav. Yes, meningan lo work PR lo also.”

“Kerjain both, yuk.”

“Where?”

“Yes at your home. There's no way you brought me here. Can be interrogated my parents last night for, hahahaha.”

“Gue also never played to the house of a guy. From the beginning every group work at home girls continue. So I don't think I'm going there either, Dav. GR aja lo!”

“Kalo has become my girlfriend, would you like?”

The deg! Matari immediately beat fast. “Ngak ah, Dav. Don't dare me.”

“Hahaha, yes Matari…. I know what a rich girl you are. Joking also me, hehehehe. but...”.

“But?”

“No. So how? I'm going there huh?”

“Now?”

“Iyaaaa.. can you please?”.

“Not knowing me. Never had a guy play for a task. The last time was the funeral of her father Sandra. That's also a rame-rame. The rest I've never been..”.

“Wah, I tried to go there. I took Abdi. How?”

“Ya...”

Matari hung up. His heart was beating so fast. He stared at her shabby face in the mirror of his home. Is it impossible to dance or what? Finally Matari just combed her hair more neatly and tied it up. Then he immediately changed his shabby house shirt with t-shirts and trousers. Just in case Eyang suddenly came. Another rule in this house when meeting guests is to wear long pants. Whoever that guest is. And no one dared to argue. Rather than Eyang scolding them in front of the guest. More embarrassed and upsetting.

Within half an hour, Davi and Abdi were already in front of the house. They each carry a bicycle. Matari doesn't think Davi has a bike. In the backpack they tucked their back LKS History and Mathematics. Two subjects who happen to be their teachers are the same.

When they came, the Princess also came. Matari took a breath. Be dead. He finally pulled himself out to open the door.

“Siang, Eyaaaaang Greet the two boys as gracious and polite as possible.

“Oh noon. Friends Matari or Sandra yes?” eyang asked as he greeted Davi and Abdi who kissed his hand.

“Matari, Eyang. The dream is there, right? We'll make an appointment to work with PR together.” Said Abdi while showing his books, to prove it to the Princess.

“Cowok all?” ask Eyang again.

“Iya, Eyang. It just so happens that girls on busy holidays. We want it to be finished, so we can do another PR. Matari happens to be the IPS History champion. We want to learn with him,” Abdi said at length.

“Oh, so. Aye, yes. Want to log in?” Said Princess Eyang.

“On the terrace, Eyang, so you can while looking at the car...” It was Davi who made Matari laugh in her heart.

Matari who listened to Eyang's footsteps immediately pretended to be sitting while working on PR in their old room.

“Temen-temen you are coming. Want to do PR, really?” eyang asked as he stared in full search at Matari.

“Ya really, Eyang. It's the same book. Did it come, huh? I'm out first yeah, Eyang.”

“Do not keep chatting yes. Really good PR work. If not later Eyang samperin to your homeroom teacher, Eyang will say if you guys mess around during the holidays.”

“Iyaaaaa..” Matari said as she stepped out of the terrace.

Davi was quite stunned to see Matari who came out in ordinary clothes. This was the first time for him, seeing Matari in such ordinary clothes. A polite dress. Long training pants and Mickey Mouse t-shirt. Her horse-pointed hair, has its own charm for her. Usually, in uniform

blue white, or brown archery uniforms, scout shirts, or sports clothes, Matari was able to charm him. When Papa Sandra died, Matari was wearing only white Muslim clothes. In addition, the 80s costume, when Matari took the stage to sing the song Rinto Harahap at that time.

“Widiiih, Britney Spears lewaaaatttt..” whispered Abdi. “Haiiii Mat. Very soon, new shower huh?”

Matari smiles. “No, from the morning. Just drowsiness yes wash my face.”

“Dav, Dav, hello? There's a fly in, Dav!” ledek Abdi when he saw Davi was just silent to see Matari coming.

“Eh, we are here. What do you want to drink?” tanya Matari then let her two guests sit on a circular terrace chair following her round table.

“A... white water ajaaa..” said Davi without taking his eyes off Matari.

Matari nodded then went inside. Abdi kept taunting his best friend. But it stopped when a woman in her 60s, came out dressed in a house dress that was as polite as Matari.

“Eh, Eyang...” greet Abdi while standing up and gesturing for Davi to follow him.

“Sit down, do PR work, I just want to check,” said Eyang while standing near them.

Matari carried a tray containing three empty drink cups and a plastic teapot filled with cold water. On the tray there are also setoples snacks from Mbok Kalis. Matari put the tray on another table on the terrace, which is usually used to put plants to be dried. He only glanced at his Eyeang at a glance

lazily then opened Lks IPS History with annoyance.

“You have nyicil ngerjain?” matari asked Abdi and Davi.

They compactly shake.

“Gue hasn't been. Yes udah yuk kerjain.” Matari said while giving advice.

Although it felt clumsy, Eyang persisted in the same attitude for 15 minutes, then roamed the grounds for a while and went inside.

“Huh, only Eyang lo can want his haunted Bu Anita. Pantesan...” Said Abdi then stopped.

“What order?” ask Matari curiously.

“Pantesan lo be a home child.” Said Abdi while laughing softly.

“Enak aja lo. My brother even diligently exkul as long as you know. My cousin? Si Sandra especially. Keep playing to his house. I love doing nothing at home.” Sahut Matari protest.

“Yaaa yes, Mat. Who is at home if there is a person like Bu Anita at home. So your homeroom teacher ahhahaha. Apes lo Mat. Not at home, not at school.” ledek Abdi again.

“Elo yahhh. Tell me you tuh tumben pendiem very. Pain lo Dav?” ask Matari then. “Atau scared of my Eyang? Just relax. He is sometimes good too kok.”

“She was thinking about her future again, if so bean sama lo, say lo, kudu say what is the same Eyang lo…. Hhahahaha..” said Abdi again.

Matari then stomped on Abdi's feet. Davi laughed too.

“Ngaklah. I am not giving up. I keep moving forward.” Davi.

“Yes, let's work again...” Matari said to divert the conversation.

After doing a lot of PR, Mbok Kalis came to bring toast. Mbok Kalis said, Eyang Putri who advocated to make it, because it must be hungry after a lot of work on the problem.

“Tuh right, good right Eyang I. heheheheh...” Matari said while giving the toast to Abdi and Davi. “Eh, uh, Mbok, wait a minute. Here I know my friends.”

Mbok Kalis with a clumsy attitude greeted his beloved small employer friends. “This one is Davi, this one is Abdi.”

“Oh, this is what often calls Neng Matari?” ask Mbok Kalis.

“Iya, Mbok. Greetings know yaa....,” said Davi timidly.

“In the meantime, I am not unfamiliar with you guys.” Mbok Kalis.

Matari frowned. Mbok Kalis was silent for quite a while. But both Davi and Abdi could not understand the meaning of Mbok Kalis' words before.

“Oh, yes! I inget. Neng inget not sick time when there is still a deceased

Mr Budi?” ask Mbok Kalis.

“Iya, ingetlah, it feels dizzy just to open the eyes. That hurts the most, Mbok. Why indeed?” matari Sahut.

“Iya, Mbok once said the same Neng, right if there are two dateng until the front of the fence doang nanyain Neng sick what? They are both rich, Neng.” Mbok Kalis replied with a meaningful smile.

“Hahhh? Long time ago dong?” ask Matari.

“Si Mbok ni open card only. His son is ashamed,” said Abdi while laughing.

“Hahhaha, yes. Yes, please excuse me. Eaten toast so it can work PR,” said Mbok Kalis while returning to the inside.

Matari looked at Abdi and Davi alternately. Abdi kept laughing and Davi just looked down embarrassed.

“So...?” Ask Matari.

“So, the first day you don't enter, he's seen Lisa walk alone. Trus prank nanya. He said you were sick if Thea again collected the same basketball team or what the hell? I forgot, basically, Lisa said you were sick. Yes, we are just passing in front of your house. Uh, Mbok Kalis pas there, yaaa we just prank. Haha. Trusses…. Uh, can I continue, Dav?” answered Abdi while watching Davi who was getting down embarrassed.

“Sialan. Already ah. Why si?” exclaim Davi.

Matari could see Davi's face flushed red. Abdi also appreciates his best friend and does not continue their conversation.
