The Father's Choice Husband

The Father's Choice Husband
Chapter 22

After being scraped, my body feels better. I was wondering whether or not I was pregnant. But more certainly, it is better to check it. Rather than confusion and mishandling.

"Prepare to check it out, Deck! I'll take you to the puskesmas." Mas Aak said, upon his return from washing hands.

"Well, don't you work? How will his boss get scolded? What if I don't do any more work?" I was worried about all the possibilities that would happen if Mas Aak missed work. Because after all, it's a pity if you lose your job again, considering that Mas Aak worked too long.

"No papa, no getting scolded. I'll be allowed half a day. After you have checked. I want to know your true condition." Cook Aak began to prepare, changing into more appropriate clothes.

"Oh, okay then." I also changed clothes, even though I had not taken a shower, no papa, emergency, I thought.

We also went to the health center that morning and immediately registered check in the midwifery. Because we suspected that I was pregnant. So, let's not work twice, I just signed up there.

After waiting for a while, my name was finally called. Me and Mas Aak walked into the midwife room and sat down in the reserved seats.

"How, Ma? Can we help you?" said Madam Midwife with a friendly smile.

"This, Ma. This morning I felt sick too. Want to take medicine fear if for example it turns out pregnant. It's two weeks late, ma'am." I explained the chronology and my complaint.

"Not tested yet, Mom?"

"Not yet, Mom." I shook my head slowly.

"Well, then just push on, yeah." The midwife set up a digital tension tool on her desk. I nodded again.

After a series of initial examinations, Bu Midwife wrote something on a paper that is small but long.

"Please go to the lab first, ma'am. Check urine and blood tests, so let's not go back and forth to the lab check, if it turns out to be pregnant." The midwife handed me that small, long piece of paper.

"Good, Mom. Excuse me." I saw the text ticked there. The term is quite foreign to me, considering that I am a layman in terms of health. It's common, because I'm not a medical guy. Mas Aak and I got up from their seats, preparing to leave the midwife room.

"Later if the results are out, brought here again yes, ma'am!" Madam told me before we walked out of the entrance.

"Good, Mom." I looked for a moment, to honor him.

"Where's the label, Mas?" I asked, because for the first time I went to the health center here. Considering this isn't a puskesmas for my area.

"I don't know, either." Cook wobbly, looking for writing that can be used as a guide.

"Well, haven't you been here either?" I was surprised, Kok Mas Aak also did not know the room in this puskesmas.

"I rarely get sick. Even if the pain never gets checked. So, I don't know, Dek. It's a new building anyway, so it's completely different." Mas Aak explained, before finally deciding to ask the puskesmas officer who happened to pass by.

"Mas, Mommy! Which lab room is next door, huh?" ask the officer.

"Oh, the lab's in the back, Mas. Passing through the alley, later after the bathroom, turn left, "the officer explained, while showing the direction we have to go.

"Together, sir." The officer passed by leaving us both who had been knocked over again.

We immediately walked, according to the instructions given by the betugas. Although I had to walk slowly, given my condition that had not improved too much.

After finding the lab room, I placed the long paper from the midwife in the basket provided. Then we sat in the chair provided. Fortunately there is not too much queue. So, shortly after, I was called in by the lab clerk. I'll be close to the counter soon.

"Mom, this is for the urine spot huh. Go to the bathroom first!" The officer gave me a small bottle that was used for urine tests. I immediately accepted it.

"Good, sir." I nodded, it felt a little awkward, as it turned out that the officer was male. That means, later who will take a sample of my blood as well as him. So I'm gonna be held by him? My mind is not care. Though half dead I keep myself from being touched by a man who is not my mahrom. But if so, how?

"No papa, Deck. Emergency." Mas Aak patted my shoulder. I looked at him with a strange look.

"Do you know what I'm thinking?" my inner. But Mas Aak smiled at me instead, it seemed like he was indeed reading my anxiety. Really weird! Sometimes not sensitive at all, but this how can I even know what I'm worried about? It is unpredictable!

"Okay, Mas." I'm nodding.

"Can themselves? Do I want company?" Cook offered, maybe he was worried if something happened in the bathroom later.

"I can do it myself, Mom. Besides, the bathroom's just close by, too."

"okay."

I went to the bathroom, took a urine sample. While Mas Aak was still sitting in the waiting chair, not taking me.

When finished, I return the urine sample to the container that has been provided. Then sit waiting again. However, before long I was called again, for blood sampling.

"Rilex, Mom! Cool out! Fear not! Breathe in!" The lab officer gave me instructions. He thought I was afraid, when in fact I was still not willing if my hand was held by a man I did not know at all.

"If you keep tense, the blood will not come out, Mom. Later even injected in several places, find a place that can come out blood. It will get sick even more! So it's better to calm down, take a breath, relax!" it seemed like the lab clerk was getting anxious at me, so he issued a threat that did manage to make me try to be willing.

"No papa, Mel. It's emergencies. After all the officers wear gloves, so no direct touch." My mind calms down, while taking a breath and exhaling a few times.

"Are you ready?" ask the officer again.

"Already, sir." I nodded steadily. I closed my eyes, also clenched my hands tightly.

"Bismillah, sorry, ma'am. Inject it first." Officers were very respectful of ethics and manners.

Finally my blood was successfully taken, I still have to wait another moment. Waiting for the results to come out. About half an hour later, the clerk called me back and gave me the lab results, as the midwife asked again.

I looked back at the lab results, looking for writing that showed I was pregnant or not. But there is no writing at all that indicates a positive pregnancy.

"Where the hell is the writing?" I am worried about myself who knows nothing about this.
