Alianora walked down the path next to the training area. Sometimes he turned to the side, in the direction of the entrance earlier to check whether Sir Gallahan and Estelle had arrived or not.
After seeing that the training area was still empty, Alianora continued her path.
“I still don't understand.”
Alianora looked ahead, right at the young boy who was currently leading her walking.
“Hm?
Eathen glanced at Alianora, his tanzanite eyes
“You are stupid or what?”
“Hah?”
“You think that complaining to dad will make me obey you?”
“Heh, the proof is that you're here now, right?”
Alianora stepped one-two steps faster to be able to walk beside Eathen who only glanced at her sharply.
Instead of Alianora being afraid to see the face of Eathen that was like she was going to eat people, she found it a little funny.
Wanting to be seen from any side, the cute face of the boy had absolutely no effect on Alianora.
“I'm here because I feel sorry for the daughter of a lame duke who doesn't know her own home area. Later if you are lost, even I was told responsibility.”
Eathen put on an insinuating look towards Alianora who was just smiling.
“Hm, I'm not that stupid to be lost at home by myself. Even though I don't know the way, I can search for it myself until I see.”
“Then why don't you go alone from the beginning?”
Eathen stopped his steps, then turned to face Alianora. Both of his eyebrows were dipping sharply downwards.
Alianora however only took a step closer to Eathen, extending her finger to gently squeeze the tip of Eathen's nose.
“That's because, I can save time if I'm with you. Boy.”
After being satisfied to see the surprised face of Eathen who looked even more funny, Alianora then turned to walk again.
On the other hand, the still speechless Eathen remained silent for a while while looking at the back of the little girl in front of him who was getting away.
He touched the area of his nose that had been removed in the squeeze, muttering,
“Tch, what the fuck was that? Strange woman base.”
Eathen again walked quickly to catch up with Alianora who had called him from the front.
After walking a few steps later, Eathen and Alianora came to the front of a small building made of wood. Although made of wood, the building was quite spacious and sturdy. Alianora instantly pulled the doorknob in front of her, and was immediately greeted by the scent of wood and iron in the air.
In front of him, there were several rows of wooden cabinets that each shelf had various kinds of boxes containing various weapons, there were wooden and iron swords, different arrows and bows, spears, and weapons, and others.
Beside the cabinets were several straw dolls, viewfinder boards, and also wooden dolls used as targets for training.
Alianora who saw that could only be amazed by the completeness of the Sheridan Family's training equipment. It's more like an armory than an arsenal of training equipment.
“Already? Are you satisfied to look at it? If you're back.”
Eathen leaned his shoulders against the door, and held his hand while looking straight at Alianora in front of him who had moved closer to the pile of swords.
“Hah? Of course I'm not here just looking around.”
Alianora looked around at the several boxes of swords on the shelves above her, in search of the sword she wanted.
“Then, what do you want to do?”
Asked Eathen with a little suspicion.
“Hm? Oh, I'll determine which sword suits me.”
“Hah? What the hell are you doing that for?"
“Practice sword, of course. What else?”
The look on Eathen's face immediately changed from suspicious, to surprised, then confused. From the beginning he was already astonished by the behavior of this girl that should be Miss Thalia. He wasn't like the ones in the rumors that Eathen used to hear.
He could not believe what he had just heard. A Duke Sheridan's famously closed, weak, and clumsy adopted daughter just said she wanted to practice swords? Did he not hear wrong?
Is the person in front of her a real Miss Thalia who is ‘itu’?
“You want to practice swords? Why?”
Alianora gives a view that says ‘hah, of course’ on Eathen.
“Yes, it's because I feel like my body is weak. So I wanted to learn something to protect myself. After all, it's normal for a noble's daughter to learn swords?”
“But you-”
“Do not have magic? Yeah, you're right. But practicing swords has nothing to do with magic, right? Even ordinary people can also learn swords.”
Eathen no longer spoke. He only looked at Alianora who had returned to focus on finding the right sword for her.
Of all Alianora's talk just now, it didn't make her understand at all, she was even more confused.
The Miss Thalia he heard was definitely not like this.
If he had never accidentally heard people talk about that glittering bluish silver hair, about the silky white skin that the sun never touched, as well as the jewel-like silvery light blue eyes, adorn a little face that was already like a fairy.
He would never have expected that the useless duke's adopted daughter was the same person as a little girl in front of him, with sparkling eyes when looking at the sword.
“The strange Duke's daughter.”, muttered Eathen.
After a few seconds, Alianora's gaze fell on a box containing a thin and light sword. His eyes immediately widened in delight, and he tried to grab the sword.
While Eathen looked at Alianora with furrowed brows.
“Hey, what are you doing?”
“K-you...no..see I am...what?”.
Said Alianora who was still on her tiptoes with great difficulty so that her fingers could touch the sword.
The young purple bead of eathen turned towards that sword box. Just a little while away, the sword had already touched Alianora's finger, but it seemed that Alianora was already unable to make her body grow taller anymore, and Eathen had no intention of moving there.
“What do you want to do with it?”
“Ugh...huh..don't ask much..come and help me...bocah!”.
Hearing that, the look on Eathen's face turned irritated.
He was called a boy by a little boy who was not necessarily older than him, was that polite?
“Hey, you who are a boy, just grabbing it just can't.”
But before Alianora replied to Eathen, his finger accidentally pulled the tip of the box, causing the box to slip. Seeing that Alianora could only be surprised.
Fortunately, Mathen reacted quickly. He quickly ran over to Alianora's side, and directly held the box, then pushed her to where she was.
For a moment, Eathen and Alianora stood there motionless and without saying a word. Due to Alianora's height being slightly lower than that of Eathen, and the distance they stood close enough, Alianora could hear Eathen's rather rapid roar of breath.
Then, Alianora sighed to break the silence so as not to become even stranger.
“Huft, almost only.”
Athen immediately turned his head towards Alianora. For a moment the look on his face showed concern, but seeing Alianora's face away from fear, Eathen immediately nagged her.
“Almost just? You know, you almost put yourself in danger! Hah..you're this troublesome once.”
“That's because you didn't come to help me.”
“That's because you didn't ask well. Have you never been taught manners in your castle there, huh?”
Not wanting to continue arguing over useless things with Eathen, Alianora immediately cut off Eathen's conversation.
“Ah, come on, quickly get that sword.”
“No, until you politely ask.”
Alianora looked at Eathen with a look of disbelief. Did this boy tell Alianora to beg him first?
Cih, gibberish this one, hah come on, whatever. What matters is that I can try it quickly.
Alianora closed her eyes as she exhaled through her mouth. Then he turned his head to stare at Eathen back, but this time he smiled, wearing the mask of ‘noble boy’ him perfectly.
“Eathen, please get me that sword.”
Eathen who witnessed Alianora's sweet-smiling expression, only looked at her for a moment. Both of his eyebrows had already begun to relax, although the glare of the tanzanite eyes was still sharp, but not as cold as before.
Inwardly, Alianora thought until when else she should keep her smile, because her cheeks had started to hurt, but fortunately Eathen finally moved to grab a sword that Alianora wanted, then gave it to her.
Alianora took the sword, then checked its quality for a moment, and she felt quite satisfied with it.
Hm, if for just a training sword, this quality is already quite good. Ah, as expected of the Duke family.
“Now, how do you practice?”
The obvious question Eathen knew, but he kept asking it. It was because he wanted to see, unexpected things especially what the little girl in front of him would say.
“Hm, I still think.”
“Have you practiced before?”
“No, you know right?”
Eathen swept the bangs blocking the eyes, with his hands while breathing out.
“Do you want to wear that?
Eathen pointed towards the pile of straw dolls behind Alianora.
Alianora turned her gaze to look at the doll, but her expression showed reluctance.
Straw doll? Ah, that's right. People like me who used to face hundreds of thousands of people, now have to ‘against’ a doll?
Suddenly, Alianora's two eyes widened. He then turned to look at Eathen from top to bottom, then he smiled.
“It looks like I've got an idea.”
“Really? How much do you need? I suggest one-”
“Be my training opponent, Eathen.”
