The Fake Princess's Soul Contract Duke

The Fake Princess's Soul Contract Duke
Chapter 12: At the Blessing Event

When Alianora entered the room, she was immediately greeted by such an amazing sight. Apparently, the cathedral is not only beautiful on the outside, but the inside is also no less good. The crystal-textured glass walls on the polishes were so shiny that Alianora could see reflections of herself as well as the other children.

Alianora and Sheridan's family were all sitting next to each other on the fourth row of the front row, adjacent to the other four pairs of dukes who had begun to chat with Kalisto and Annabeth. Estelle also started greeting the other duke's sons, and they looked familiar.

Alianora only gave them a fleeting smile, before her attention was again drawn to the empty golden pews on a small terrace beside the altar.

It seems like the royal family is not present today. Ha, when I thought I could see Prince Noah's shape. Too bad.

Moments later, a priest and several priest helpers, in white robes and a sparkling gold star pendant in the center of his chest, began the day's baptismal event.

“Good morning, ladies and gentlemen of each noble family, on this blessed day we are all here to celebrate again the baptismal feast of our dear children in the light. For that, let us take our hearts in the divine light of Ilios, and welcome his blessing!”

Then the baptismal mass began, accompanied by singing and prayers. During the mass, Alianora did not have any good feelings at all. The hymns and prayers were too noisy, and it reminded him of Ilios.

Hearing his name after all these years still carried a bitter taste in his tongue. Alianora tried not to recall the past excessively, and tried to throw it away as a memory that had passed, but somehow since its resurrection, he always saw things that reminded him of Ilios. A god whose glory is paid for by the life of his own good friend.

As Alianora recalled it, her chest felt pain as if a huge wound that had once perforated her chest, was still bleeding. Ah, I think he wants to puke.

“Sister,” whispered Estelle, “Is sister okay? Brother's face is a bit pale.”

Alianora who regained her senses from her daydream, immediately returned Estelle's worried expression with a knotty smile.

“I'm fine, just had time to remember someone who wasn't fun just.”

Bad events have succeeded him failed, and now his life line is different from Thalia. It feels like there is nothing serious to pay attention to anymore, he should rest his mind and just enjoy this blessing until it is finished.

*****

The baptismal ceremony was smooth but rather long. Already about an hour ago, Alianora sat on her stool lazily while waiting for her turn that did not come. He had not expected that his show would be this long.

His butt was numb, eager for him to go out for the wind, but either since his struggle with the three antagonistic boys, Kalisto and Annabeth always gave him a deadly glance whenever he moved a little. Alianora believed they must have also blamed him for the commotion earlier, so that his movement this time was monitored, fearing that he would act again. But, yeah, that's it.

"Hey."

Alianora was surprised after finding a pair of ruby-red eyes, looking at her from the side.

He glanced at Estelle, Kalisto, and Annabeth next to him, but it seemed like they were still busy conversing with the other dukes and duchess.

"You called me?"ask Alianora.

"Of course, who else?"

Who else is this one kid?

Alianora was still a little confused but she still forced her gentlemanly smile, "Um, what's the need?"

"My name is Edlyn Von Keilanstein, Duke Keilanstein's daughter."

said the boy while sticking out his hand.

Alianora, "...."

Did he just say 'Keilanstein'?"

Alianora glanced to the side again and found a pair of dressed men and women, conversing with Sheridan's partner. Their clothes were luxurious and matching to each other, and it clearly had the same design as what the orange haired girl next to her wore.

Duke and Duchess Keilanstein.

The family of Duke Keilanstein, one of the four duke families of the Kingdom of Agris, are known for their sword skills. As far as Alianora was concerned, they only had one daughter, the first female elite knight in the kingdom of Agris.

But why was it that suddenly their daughter could be next to him at this moment?

"Why? Can't believe?"

Edlyn looked at Alianora with her eyebrows raised.

Hah, of course, you should have talked to Estelle instead of me.

Estelle was adored by the nobility, and Alianora was ostracized and humiliated.

It's obviously unbelievable, right?

Alianora wet her lips while still smiling and shook Edlyn's hand back.

"Ah, of course not so. Greetings to you too, Miss Keilanstein. Introduce me-"

"Okay I already know that, and 'Edlyn', just call me Edlyn. No need to be so formal, we're the same age. Greetings to Thalia."

Alianora, "...Greetings to you-"

"Oh, but I can call you Thalia, right?"

"...."

Alianora smiled and closed her mouth tightly.

Is this boy really Keilanstein's daughter??

"...Of course, Edlyn."

Hearing alianora's reply, Edlyn nodded and immediately held Alianora's hand.

"Well, then we're friends now. You know, on the outside, you were so cool! Facing the three people calmly, even to the point of making the noisy Michelle lose her mind, was simply amazing."

Alianora tilted her head.

"Outside..You saw the incident?"

"of course! And I'm very satisfied! Those three people have indeed been too late to interfere, I'm just fed up with their disgusting behavior. I can tell you, you kicked right on their ass."

From the side, Alianora continued to pay attention to Kalisto and Annabeth who did not seem to hear Edlyn, as well as some nobles who were chatting with them.

Thankfully they did not hear that, otherwise they could accuse Alianora of teaching her cute daughter to curse.

Huh, what's wrong with this kid?

"Ehem, not so, I just did what I was supposed to do, I'm sure everyone in my position at the time would do the same."

alianora replied humbly.

"Whatchu mean? If everyone could be like that, I wouldn't think you'd be cool."

....

....

"...Ah, well, thanks for the compliment."

Oh, does he have to hear this boy swearing at unimportant things.

Is there no more useful conversation?

Then, what was he saying...let's be friends? This kid is out of his mind.

Edlyn smiled and flicked her dark orange hair back.

"Hehe, I assure you they definitely don't dare to show their face to tea events in the future out of embarrassment. How not, they were obviously humiliated very badly in public by their own actions, and also by a princess who had no magic."

Edlyn glanced at Alianora casually.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you, but the truth is. Everyone calls you that, uh, but I never take care of things like that and spy on you."

Alianora smiles. This child is indeed strange, but Alianora still admired his mouth that is from a slip-ceplos, unlike the noble child in general.

"Thank you Edlyn, I already know that. I've heard them whispering behind my back, so I'm not so surprised."

"Are you not upset?"

"Hm? Not particularly. I don't really care about other people. Whatever they want to say, that's their right. It's just talk, can't do anything to me, so why would I waste time taking care of things like that?"

Edlyn looked at Alianora with her wide eyes and slightly open mouth.

"I thought you were.you're so cool...!"

Alianora was dumbfounded to see the sparkling gaze of this child in front of her.

The eyes of admiration and respect from Edlyn were so dazzling to him.

"Sister?"

The estelle!

Alianora immediately turned to Estelle as if to ask for help, and pulled her gently.

"E-Elle, hahaha.exactly, Edlyn, let me introduce you, this is my sister Estelle. Elle, this is Miss Edlyn, daughter of Duke Keilanstein's family."

Edlyn simply stared at Estelle with furrowed brows, before turning her eyes away.

Estelle looked at Alianora and Edlyn alternately before her face painted a friendly smile.

"Well, Brother Edlyn, how are you?"

Alianora, "Have you met before?"

Estelle, "Yeah sister, more precisely last year anyway," she turned to Edlyn, "Elle didn't know that Edlyn's sister was here. Elle saluted Edlyn again."

Edlyn just waved her hand as she looked straight at Estelle, "Yes, yes, hi too, then can you not call me that? We're not too close, Miss Estelle. Better to use formal calls instead."

Hearing the reprimand, Estelle's face immediately displayed a feeling of guilt, "Ah.I'm sorry I-I mean, Miss Edlyn."

Alianora who saw the awkward moment could only laugh a little.

Just this time he saw someone not affected by Estelle's cute smile, quite the opposite.

The female knight of the Keilanstein family, may as well.

Shortly after, Edlyn's parents called Edlyn from her original seat. The reluctant Edlyn, finally returned, did not forget to say goodbye. Whether this was Alianora's feeling or not, but then Duchess Keilanstein saw Alianora sharply before leaving with her family to chat with other noble families.

Ha, surely he doesn't want to see his son playing with a commoner's son, huh?

"Hm, Miss Edlyn usually doesn't talk much, she's probably talking a lot with big brother today. Have sister and Miss Edlyn ever met?"

estelle asked in a curious tone.

Alianora shook her head.

"This is the first time I've met him. I'm also surprised he's gonna talk to me."

"Hm."

Estelle did not speak anymore and nodded her head.

Alianora was slightly grateful for her conversation with Edlyn. Although he did not know what the reason was, but if Edlyn and himself really became close, this could be one of the assets for him.

By attracting the Keilanstein Family to be his side, then the Alianora road will be smoother. Problems will be easier to solve this way.

Alianora hopes that this meeting is a good sign.

Faintly Alianora heard the name of Marquess Elvin being called, and a puffed-up boy advanced to the altar along with his two parents.

Alianora looked at it lazily, it seemed like her turn had still not arrived, but her buttocks could no longer bear it.

Beside him, Kalisto and Annabeth were still chatting without any sign of ending.

Goody.

"Elle, I want to go to the toilet for a second. It won't be long, please tell mom and dad."

Before Estelle could respond, Alianora had already left.

*****

With sure steps, Alianora walked through a beautiful flower garden next to the cathedral, feeling relieved. He didn't want to go too long, but to finally breathe fresh air after an hour inside the cathedral, made him not want to return.

5 Minutes to go. There's no harm, right?

While walking down the path, Alianora found a white building at the end of the park. The building is shaped similar to the cathedral design, but looks more modern and smaller than the cathedral. Despite its location a little far from the cathedral, for some reason, Alianora could not take her eyes off it. He felt that he wanted to go there.

Kalisto and Annabeth seemed to still be chatting, they would not pay attention to me. All right, 15 minutes.

Alianora rushed towards the white building. He hoped that his premonition could give him something useful, some kind of clue about the strange condition of his body right now.

Alianora walked fast, then ran. He was already unconcerned with the etiquette of nobles who had to walk gracefully. Fuck'em. No one saw him, he was alone in a deserted garden.

But he was wrong.

A human hand that appeared out of nowhere, suddenly withdrew its hand, stopping its steps.

“Where are you going?”, from the back of the figure of a dark blue-haired boy who was staring at him expressionlessly.

Alianora, “...huh?”

“Where are you going? Who are you?”

the boy asked again.

Because of the sudden arrest, Alianora was a little surprised but she soon regained her composure. He looked back at the boy furiously, then pulled back his hand violently.

Who else is this disrespectful child? A piece of shit? Pastor's son?

Alianora turned to look at the boy trying to smile, "Uhm, sorry. What's up?”

The boy's blue eyes looked at Alianora probingly, "What are you doing here?"

"Uh, I didn't mean to do anything. I just want to walk around here waiting for my turn to be baptized, so can you please let go of my hand?"

The boy sighed, "You can't wander around carelessly without permission, especially around here.”

Tch, troublesome boy!

"Ah, there seems to be a misunderstanding here. Introduce, I'm Thalia La Sheridan, can't I just rest here for a little while?"

"It seems you still don't understand. Here is a forbidden area, no one can enter here carelessly. Do you understand that? Or do I need to repeat it again?"

Therehewas. Had enough.

Alianora's patience was at its peak.

This boy was already looking for trouble with her.

With a single blink, Alianora's noble smile disappeared completely, replaced by a dark smile, "From the beginning I've tried to ignore your words, but this time, I won't forgive her again. Let me tell you, what I'm doing, it's none of your business! Who are you anyway? The preacher's son here?”

Alianora turned and was about to step away but her arm was held back.

“Huh, what the fuck are you? Release!"

“Only priests and the royal family can come here. Be it nobility or commoners, everything is forbidden, not least a duke.” princess

Alianora squinted her eyes, "Ka-"

“...sister!...Ka...sister!?...Sister...!?”

estelle's voice echoed from a distance.

Ack, is it my turn?

The boy looked at Alianora, "Looks like you were called."

"Yes, if you know, let me go!"

alianora grumbled who was still trying to let go of the boy's hand grip that was unexpectedly difficult as well.

However, instead of releasing Alianora, the boy grasped her tighter.

"Before that, you had to promise never to step foot here or think about approaching this place again."

Alianora, "Huh? Who are you? Dare"

"...grandfather....? Ka...where...?"

Alianora bit her lip, "Tch, Argh, yeah, yeah. All right, I promise I won't be here again, okay? So let go of me!"

This time, the boy let go of his grasp, and Alianora instantly withdrew her hand while looking at the boy cynically, "I'll remember this."

After which, he quickly ran back to the Cathedral.

The boy was still standing watching Alianora who was slowly moving away, with the same face. Her sapphire blue eyes raised suspicion and a hint of confusion.

Suddenly from the side, a teenage boy dressed as a knight, emerged from the bushes. “Ah, you are here apparently!”, her face is sweaty and her orange hair is sticky on the forehead, she looks gnawing.

“...Rowen.”

answer the boy.

Rowen rubbed the sweat off her forehead and let out a long sigh, "Haa, I've been looking for you everywhere, and I just found you here. Actually, you are from anywhere, Your Highness Prince Noah?”

Prince Noah turned to Rowen, "Nothing, I was just walking around for a while, then," he glanced back at the direction where Alianora disappeared, "accidentally meeting First Princess Duke Sheridan."

Rowen combed her wet orange hair while following Prince Noah's gaze, "First princess...Uh! Miss Thalia La Sheridan was here?! Ah, I should have arrived earlier in order to meet him. Miss Thalia is so cool and at the same time cute, you saw how she acted this morning right? Ah... I at least want to pinch her cheek a little"

"Rowen, let's go back."

cut Prince Noah while stepping into the cathedral followed by Rowen who is unceasingly talking about duke Sheridan's cute daughter.
