The Escort Man's

The Escort Man's
LAST HUG

Jesslyn peeks into Naomi's room because the nine-year-old girl saw Oscar carrying the basin into her Mommy's room. Jesslyn just wanted to make sure that Naomi's condition was okay now.

"Still sick?" Oscar asked Naomi who Jesslyn could faintly hear. The scene Jesslyn is currently seeing is Oscar wiping Naomi's body lying on the bed, using washlap and warm water.

"Just a little pain." Naomi's answer to Oscar's question can also be heard by Jesslyn vaguely.

"What is sick? Mom's sick again?" Jesslyn muttered and asked herself, before then the girl stopped peeking and immediately picked up her bag, then came out of the house to wait for the bus to pick up.

Ten minutes passed, and Jesslyn's school bus still hadn't arrived.

How strange!

Usually the bus is on time.

"Jess! You forgot your provisions!" Oscar shouted as he opened the door deoan and Jesslyn quickly went down the steps of the terrace and pretended not to hear the cry of Oscar.

"Jesslyn!" Oscar screams louder and tries to catch up with Jesslyn, as the school bus arrives in front of the house.

"Damn!" Bump Oscar who immediately put on his sandals quickly and chased Jesslyn who had entered the bus.

"Jess! Your supply!" Excited Oscar while thrusting provisions on Jesslyn who is indifferent.

"Morning, Jess! Is your supply left behind?" A young woman on the bus greeted Jesslyn, pointing at Oscar, who was still waving Jesslyn.

"You who?" Jesslyn asked because she did not know the young woman who had just greeted her.

"Rivera Oliver!"

"I'm a new teacher at school" said the young woman, introducing herself.

Jesslyn clucked and finally returned to the bus door to pick up Oscar's supplies.

"Is it hard to bring supplies so that I don't have to bother taking her to school?" Oscar's hiss was furious at Jesslyn who just turned the eyeball. Jesslyn turned around and the door to the school bus closed.

No thanks at all!

The bus was back and Jesslyn was sitting on one of the benches on the bus.

"Elect the beautiful!" Praise Rivera for looking at the box with the transparent lid on Jesslyn's lap. The decorated sandwich resembled one of the cartoon character characters seen very clearly from outside the box.

So fellow!

Did Oscar make a sandwich with this ridiculous garnish?

Jesslyn did not stop grumbling in her heart and the nine-year-old girl did not respond at all to the praise of Rivera, the new teacher.

Jesslyn is most lazy to mince words at a new, familiar person!

A few weeks passed.

Oscar wrapped the blanket he brought to Naomi's body, then grabbed both of the woman's shoulders.

"Let's go in! The air was getting cold," asked Oscar gently to Naomiyang since earlier was on the back porch and just sat quietly while staring at the lake.

Oscar doesn't know why, but Naomi's been doing it the last few days.

"Nao!" Persuade Oscar Lagj to Naomi who has been silent since. Oscar clutches Naomi's body which is getting thinner. Even for walking, Naomi could no longer do it.

"A little while." Naomi answered with an empty look.

"Doctors and nurses will be coming in a little while to check your condition and maybe they'll put on an infusion as well" Oscar said, telling Naomi that she had a very apprehensive look on her arm.

"Jesslyn's home?" Naomi asked Oscar next with a soft voice.

"Not yet! Maybe in a moment," Oscar replied as he clenched and rubbed Naomi's shoulders.

"Let's go in!" Take Oscar once more to Naomi in a slightly pushy tone.

"Yes!" Naomi finally agreed. Oscar wants to push Naomi's wheelchair, but then she refuses.

"Do you mind if I ask to be carried up to the room?" Naomi asked Oscar.

"Absolutely not!" Answer Oscar while smiling. Oscar immediately bowed and prepared to lift Naomi from the wheelchair. Naomi herself directly draped her arms around Oscar's neck, and when Oscar lifted Naomi's thin body, suddenly there was a bitter wedge that filled the throat and squeezed Oscar's heart.

Naomi's body felt so light. The look on the woman's face was also pale and her eyes looked blank.

Oscar landed Naomi carefully in bed. The man also pulled a blanket to cover Naomi's body.

"Jess should've gone home, Osh! Can you pick him up in front, then drive him here?" Pinta Naomi again at the Oscars.

"She would usually go into her own house and not have to be picked up, Nao," Oscar declined. After all, Jesslyn is also not a five-year-old kindergarten boy who must be waited in front of the house when returning to school.

"This one time!" Pinta Naomi pleads. Oscar sighed, and finally obeyed Naomi's will even though her heart did not stop grumbling.

"Home home?" Oscar mincerely. But Jesslyn was only silent and the girl immediately rushed into the house. Jesslyn heads straight to her room, when Oscar is forced to call the girl again.

"Mommy called you, Jess!"

Jesslyn stopped her steps, and went to Naomi's room instead. Oscar simply turned his eyeballs, then opted out onto the terrace for a breath of fresh air.

But just after Oscar came out, a young woman greeted him.

"Good day, Mr Olsen! Jesslyn left her box on the bus again" said the young woman, who appears to be Jesslyn's schoolteacher.

"Yes! Thank you for being delivered! That girl is so careless!" Oscar replied a little furiously, while receiving Jesslyn's empty lunch box.

"Jess just needs a little bit of Mr. Olsen-"

"Sorry!" Oscar interrupted the advice of the young teacher.

"Ah, yes! My name is Rivera Oliver and I'm a teacher at Jess' school." The young woman introduced herself to Oscar.

"Jess always looks moody at school and rarely wants to hang out with her friends. So I hope you as her dad can give more attention to Jess and invite her to talk from heart to heart," rivera's advice at length that only Oscar responded with a steady hand and an annoyed look was less friendly.

"Thank you for the advice, Miss Rivera!" Oscar replied a little cynical. The look on Jesslyn's schoolteacher's face instantly changed.

"Sorry if I'm sassy. Excuse me!" Pamitnya.

"Good day, Mr. Olsen!"

Oscar hamya clucked and did not answer at all. The man looked at the young teacher who was not far from Naomi's house.

"Basically ignorant and smart-ass!" Oscar grumbled as he landed his ass in the porch seat.

Jesslyn clasped and kissed Naomi's skinny hand for a while.

"Sorry!" Naomi said as she stared guiltily at Jesslyn.

Guilt for being selfish and rarely paying attention to Jesslyn. Guilt for not being able to be a good Mom for Jesslyn. Guilt for not being able to make a family Jesslyn should have.

"Mom is the best!" Jesslyn whispered tears. Jesslyn hugged Naomi, whose condition was getting worse.

"Thank you for doing everything that's best for Jess" Jesslyn whispered, hugging Naomi.

"Mom has contacted the foundation. They'll pick up and take care of your school move next week" Naomi said almost without a sound.

"Be whatever you want, baby!" Naomi's voice was no longer heard.

"Mom!" Jesslyn's great-grandson rubbed Naomi's face and kissed her nonstop as if she had already felt a premonition.

"Come into your room!" Naomi said, swiping Jesslyn's face despite her weak hand movements.

"I love you, Mom!" Jesslyn whispered while kissing Naomi's forehead.

"I love you too!" Reply Naomi without a sound.

Jesslyn hugged Naomi once more, before she walked out of Naomi's room and locked the door.

Oscar, who sees Jesslyn coming out of Naomi's room with tears, hastily enters the room to check on Naomi's condition.

"Everything okay?" Oscar asked as he approached Naomi's bed.

"Yes!" Naomi answered still without a voice.

"You want me to get you something?" Ask Oscar again while gently rubbing Naomi's head which only shook faintly.

"Will you hold me until I fall asleep?" Pinta Naomi.

"Yes!" Oscar replied, who went straight up to the bed, then went into the blanket and grabbed Naomi's thin body.

"Sleep!" Oscar kisses Naomi's head and continues to hold her until the night before and everything becomes quiet.

Lonely and cold to Naomi who finally breathed her last in the arms of Oscar, the man whom Naomi had loved for ten years in silence.
