A loud swing wakes Marine up from his hanging mattress. The storm was raging, and the Marine could hear the screams of the crew controlling the ship above.
The Marine closed his eyes tightly, hoping this would all end soon. His father's orders were clear, he was not allowed to leave the room at night, for whatever reason. And whenever a storm hits at night, the Marine is always afraid of being trapped helplessly under deck when this ship sinks.
However, as the Marine lay back, trying to ignore the weather outside, another sound was carried away by the wind. The sound of iron clashing. The Marine got out of the bed, sharpened his ears, and after a while, took his clothes and knife and rushed to the deck.
One of his father's other commands is that while they are on a mission, Marine must remain in the cabin, for his safety. Even so, Marine thinks no one has told him that they are currently on a mission, so Marine assumes someone has attacked the ship, something that never happened.
The Marine could not imagine what kind of person would dare to attack the Felon, and there was no way the Marine could stay in the room when their ship needed to be defended. Marine did not technically violate his father's orders because his father never told him directly what to do in such a situation. Still Marine does not want to be caught by his father.
The arrival of the Marine was greeted by chaos. A ship had docked on one side of the Maiden, with a hooked mine keeping the ship from escaping, while the Captain and the rest of the crew attacked them.
This is clearly the Marine's mistake, for whatever reason no one told him of this task. But there is no doubt that Maiden attacked the ship.
Heavy rain covered the moonlight, and the Maiden ship tilted so sharply that the Marine could not stand up straight. Those who were fighting were unaware of it.
Marine combed the look of looking into the brilliance in front of him. He saw his father on the deck against three men at once, his sword easily brushed off the opponent's attack, toying with the three poor men, thinking that they had a chance to win from the Felon. Even before Marine turned his father had defeated the three men vilely and efficiently.
Cleeve was being cornered on the main post, with no weapons, his opponent raising the sword as the final strike. But Cleeve did not plan to just fall.
"Dead you!" With a wild Cleeve pounced on his opponent's neck, ripping the opponent's throat with his teeth. The blood went so far it almost hit the Marine.
Marine gasps at the barbaric action, thinking Marine will not be close to Cleeve and if his father finds him here he may experience the same.
Just now Marine was about to return to his cabin, when a flash of light shone on the pile of wooden crates, revealing a pair of wide, sparkling eyes peering behind it.
"Toby, what is he doing here?" The Marine heads to where Toby is hiding, bending over to try to grab Toby's hand, the little boy who served on Maiden and the only boy who was only six months old joined aboard Maiden.
" Come with me!" Shouted the Marine so that his voice could be heard among the storms.
The boy shook his head, too afraid to move.
"All will be well" said Marine. "I promise." The Marine reassures Toby.
For a while, Toby grabs Marine's hand out of hiding.
They both run towards the hatch and Marine uses his body as a shield to protect the boy from the chaos around them.
In a hurry Toby went down the deck. Before Marine can follow him. Someone caught him from behind.
A strong and foreign attraction attracts the Marine. He kicked and thrashed so that he could escape from the grip of the man.
Marine position does not have enough footing to escape.
Marine realized he was still holding a knife in his hand.
"You dare!" Marine eyes cold Felon aura on him gushed out from his body.
With a single flash movement Marine slashed the man's veins. Instantly the man took off his quarrel.
And Marine turned his body to face the man.
The Marine Reserve gazes straight into one's stomach, with a gulp, the Marine looks up. This was the first time Marine had seen such a big man with such a stony look.
"I thought you were a weak woman, attractive.it's interesting." The big man stared at his wrist, blood flowing past his fingers. "Don't think with this little cut you can get away!"
The big man lunged towards the Marine, with the nimble Marine bowing between the legs of the big man slashing his calves while advancing the body.
"Let'sooh!" Moans came out from the big man's mouth, but he did not waver at all.
The man then turned around and swung his sword towards the Marine.
"It's not that easy you're subduing me!" Said Marine easily dodging the man's sword.
Marine looked at his knife, this blade could not possibly win against the man's sword.
"I have to get rid of that sword."Marine grunting.
However, with the man's big hand he catches Marine's wrist and lifts Marine's body.
The Marine attempted to break away, but Marine's legs could not touch the floor.
Marine tried to hit him with his left hand, even if the left hand was not as strong as his right hand.
But the big man caught Marine's left hand too
"Little girl, how does it feel?" A mocking smile at the corner of the big man's mouth.
The big man had a burn on Marine's hand. Instantly Marine felt a pain in his hand that almost knocked him unconscious.
"I'm the daughter of Felon the ruler of the eastern islands won't give up on you easily!" Marine locked the man's movements.
They both locked each other's movements. But even though Marine had a weapon, after seeing the large body of this man, his spirit decreased, he was more and more convinced that he would lose.
As the Maiden swayed in the strong wind, the Marine noticed a pile of wooden barrel near them. The storm's shock had loosened its ties and the Marine could tell it was about to break loose.
Gritting her teeth, Merine exerted all her strength to continue locking onto the big man's movements. In order that when the wooden barrel was released, the barrel would roll towards them.
The big man's attention was distracted allowing Marine to let go of his right hand. Even so the grip of this big man on Marine's left hand that was burning was still too strong and the pain that Marine felt made him not strong enough to pull his left hand.
So the Marine remained standing in front of the big man, as the barrel barreled towards them, throwing their bodies at the fence.
The side of the ship is so tilted and close to the water surface that the momentum of the collision bends their bodies further and before the Marine can hold anything, the Marine has been thrown off the ship.
The impact from the collision ejected air from Marine's lungs, making him unable to scream as his body floated through the air.
The Marine prepared himself to feel the cold of the sea, but it never came. It took a while before Marine realized what was happening. Marine's body hung upside down, held in place only with a dress snagged in the ship's booth, with her back in contact with the side of the ship.
(Laberan: A collection of cable mines, and a chain on a ship that is used to hold a sail pole).
While the big man as opposed to the Marine was not as lucky as the Marine, the ocean had swallowed him. However, the relief was solved by the sound of rag tearing. Frantically Marine tries to turn his body around, but the ship's violent shaking accompanied by a barrage of waves hitting Marine's face threatens to sink him without needing to be in the water.
Panic rose to his throat with the salt water entering his nose. No one knows the Marine's position here. The Marine can't scream. And she realized there was little time left before her dress came off and she fell to the death she feared the most.
As the last struggle Marine swung his body with all his might to grasp something. But the result, he instead smashed his face into the side of the Maiden. Blood mixed with water flowed into his lungs.
Half blind and choking, Marine barely hears a voice calling his name. He even thought it was a hallucination until he felt a tight pull from his dress, a hand holding his leg, and the sound of the call grew clearer and clearer.
Using all his remaining energy, Marine turned his body up and saw Bronn extend his hand, his voice covered by the water clogging in Marine's ears. Marine reached out as far as he could until their skin touched.
That's all Bronn needs to pull Marine's body up and in an instant, Marine bends over the deck. Bronn's hand was still holding Marine's hand, as if time had stopped for a few seconds.
The Marine regains consciousness and pushes Bronn away. Bronn had lost the right to touch her a long time ago and although Bronn had just saved his life, Marine did not like her at all.
"What the fuck...?" Bronn said, almost losing his mind. It was obvious he wanted at least a little bit of gratitude from Marine.
"I don't need your help." To be honest it wasn't entirely true, and Marine was getting annoyed by it.
Grace approaches, quickly stopping the blood flow in Marine's nose, which Marine believes has broken.
"What are you doing here?" Grace was shocked on par with her worries after seeing the Marine in such a state.
"Are you crazy?" Bronn doesn't care about Grace's whereabouts, his anger set only on Marine. "I just saved your life."
"Is that why you did it? So I owe you? How did you know I was thrown off the ship?" Marine feels guilty when the words come out of his mouth, but of the many people who can help him, why should Bronn?
"You're not making any sense!" Shouted Bronn to the Marine. "So you'd rather I let you die?"
Hi, at least it's not the first time you've done that, these words ring in Marine's mind but all he can say is, "What if you stay away from me?"
Bronn. "By pleasure. Your prince will be very happy to hear it."
Grace cleared her throat before giving Marine an anxious and frustrated look and helping the marine stand up.
