The East Sea Ruler

The East Sea Ruler
Chapter 1

The sudden sound of knocking on the door made Marine slightly jump. He walked towards the door and opened the door with the smallest gap possible, seeing who had come to see him. Just one of the crew.

"Captain wants to see you" said the crew.

"Thank you." The Marine and the crew of the ship immediately left.

The Marine walks towards the Captain's room, he learns not to keep the Captain waiting.

Some of the crew greeted the marines as they passed by, the rest of them did not care at all. But Marine didn't mind it.

Respect had to be gained among the Snake, and the Marine had not done anything to receive it.

Marine saw three of them crowding in whispers. They turned the body as the Marine passed by, not wanting their voices to be heard. Even so the Marine could still catch a few sentences.

"I hear there are still witches in the West who can melt your flesh and bones with just one word."

Marine skin feels pierced just by hearing the word magic.

"I would probably be happier if I were walking to meet a witch now than the Captain." Murmured Marine to himself.

Outside the Captain's room, Bronn, the deadliest man on board, is on guard and waiting for the Marine to arrive.

His sleeves were rolled up and Marine tried hard not to stare at Bronn's sunburned skin.

The Marine once felt that the arm had always protected him, now Bronn was only protecting the Captain and carrying out the Captain's cruel commands.

Upon hearing Marinne's footsteps, Bronn turned around in a very small motion nodding his head. "He's waiting for you." While opening the door and gesturing for marine to enter.

Marine stepped in, the smell of death smelled in every corner of the room. The room was designed to intimidate enemy prisoners. Each piece inside was mainly a shelf containing human limbs exhibited inside the bottle.

Sitting at a table surrounded by treasure and a sign of victory that shows the power of the East Islands. Talon's sea vulture watched as he perched behind the Captain, the Captain was the Marine's father.

The two people standing by the Captain's side are the first officer and longtime friend of Marine's father, Cleeve who is a depraved and bloodthirsty man.

In front of the table two crewmen flank a tied and battered woman, her name is Anders the newest member of this ship.

Bronn enters the room without a sound and stands on the empty side of Marine's father. Feeling that something big is about to happen, Marine tried to calm his voice and said. "Dad want to see me?"

Both eyes with terrible scars met with Marine's eyes. A face full of wrinkles does not show any emotion.

"Marine, thank you for coming." His father said as if Marine had kept them waiting a long time ago. "I need your judgment on an affair involving one of our crews."

The captain beckoned to his men, and the snake-bound member was thrown rudely towards the Marine.

"This bastard, has been caught stealing water from our supplies." Felon.

Marine's heart is melting. Stealing food supplies was a grave offense, and the Marine wouldn't think about what punishment Anders had received before Marine got here.

"What do you think we should do to this thief?" The question is so heavy that this room feels spinning.

All eyes were on the Marine, waiting for an answer while assessing the visible signs of weakness on the Marine's face.

Marine took a deep breath, his gaze met the defendant's gaze and Marine could see the despair in it, hoping that the punishment from Marine would be light.

It occurred to the Marine that the thief had to lose a limb corresponding to the crime of his hand or tongue.

Marine almost laughed out loud imagining himself giving such an order.

"The crime is very serious." Marine wished for his voice to sound as dignified as possible, "And it cannot be forgiven." The Marine faced the Captain and a sense of victory was glimpsed in his eyes.

"Throw him into a cell, then leave him on the next sand island! We'll see then, how thirsty he is." Felon's orders.

The spark of satisfaction disappeared from the Captain's face after hearing the Marine's words.

Marine failed, this was not the punishment his father expected. Marine glanced at Bronn, hoping to see signs of understanding. But Bronn's face was silent as a rock.

Anders felt that his fate had been set and pleaded with the Captain, asking for mercy.

"Switch!"

One of the crew silenced Andres' mouth with a hard blow to the cheek.

The captain looked at Cleeve. "Do it!"

A vile smile appeared on Cleeve's face, no more than three steps away and Cleeve was already in front of Anders.

"Creek!"

Cleeve slit Anders' neck. The talon flapped its wings whether or not the bird agreed to the Captain's decision.

Marine witnessed all the cruelty of his father, Marine knew what he was here for. From the beginning, Death was already a punishment for Andres. It's just that the Captain wishes the Marine had said it.

This is not the first time the Marine has witnessed such an event, the Captain has repeatedly shown the Marine.

The father believed in this way that Marine would change, but what his father did not know was that Marine would not change.

"Clean this up."

The Captain's men responded in an instant by dragging Anders out of the room.

Traces of blood were left on the wooden floor, as if the corpse was trying to leave a final message that would soon be wiped out.

In the room only stayed Merine and Captain.Kapten looked at Marine, the gaze made Marine frightened.

Marine prepares to receive Father's outburst of anger. But instead the Captain just fell silent and it was more frightening that the Marine felt.

Suddenly the Captain spoke, his voice sounding dangerous, yet gentle. "You know what you want?"

"I know." The Marine did not deny.

"Then why, Marine? Why do you keep fighting?"

Marine thinks if he still wants to live, he will give an answer that is close to his father's wish.

"I tried Dad, someday I'll give you the order you want." Marine's voice shakes because of the lies he tells.

The captain stepped towards the window, staring at the dark sea.

"You remember when you were a kid? We often sit here together, pinning toy boats on my sea map before sending them to war."

The captain let out a long sigh and said back, "Then you melted the candle to seal the letter with fire and spilled it on the ships. For blood, you say. I should have scolded you because you broke so much paper. But I didn't do it. You showed talent and I'm so proud of you."

"I remember that burn was still on my finger." Marine grinning.

"Yet you let your potential rot away, until there is nothing left but weakness."

"You know what Dad means, right? You know what you forced me to do?"

The Marine's resistance to his father is always paid, the Captain thrusting his knife towards the Marine.

"Please." Pinta Marine, he doesn't want to do this. "I promise I'll try harder."

"Take it, it's not an order, it's a challenge." The Captain's voice was firm.

The Marine refused, trying desperately to get out of the situation. "If you give me a chance..."

In an instant the Captain stood right in front of the Marine, pulling the Marine towards him, the blade was too close to the Marine skin.

The captain breathed quickly, was furious at Marine's arrogant demeanor and slowly put the handle of the knife into Marine's hand.

The Marine body trembled while the Captain stepped back to sit at the end of his chair.

"Do it!" The Captain's voice trembled with excitement.

Anger burns Marine's cheek as Marine lifts the knife and thrusts it into the tender flesh in the palm of his hand.

The details of the blood flowed out quickly from the spur, before slowly circling his hand and becoming droplets on the floor.

"It's sad for me to see you do this, but it's for your own good." A sadistic smile appeared on the corner of the Captain's lips.

The Captain always says it every time he gets the Marine to do this to erase Marine's weaknesses. Once Marine believed him, now Marine does what he has to do to survive.

Actually it's not too painful, just a small wound but enough to remind Marine of his father's power.

"We're Marine soldiers, and soldiers aren't weak." The captain walked over to get the knife.

Marine is fed up with himself still trying to get recognition from his father, wanting to go back to a time when Marine still admired him.

The captain stepped back and turned his back to the Marine, opened one of his crates and pulled out a pile of cloth and lifted it. "This is for you."

Marine receives the dress, looks confused, he sees the dress that was given by his father.

A dress that was not much different from the one she was wearing now, the embroidered stripes resembled sea waves, pearls adorned her wrists and collars, greenish blue in color, this was not a snake outfit.

This dress is so inappropriate to wear on this ship, that's what Marine thought.

"In a moment we will have an important guest. I need you to impress her. Can you do it?"

"Of course." Marine nods his head.

"Good, replace. I'll call you later."

Realizing she had been allowed to leave, the Marine left the room trying not to slip a trail of blood on the floor.

The Marine heads towards the deck for a breath of fresh air. Standing right at this place, Marine recalls the first time he witnessed the Captain executing a man who included his men.

Marine was only six years old at the time. He saw the Captain clutching the defendant's hair and slashing his neck.

Marine is not watching a Captain convict his crew, but is watching his father commit the murder of an unarmed man. And Marine was crying.

The reaction given by Marine was wrong, Captain Murka for disappointing and humiliating him. Maybe that's why no one considers the Marine part of the snake.

The Marine gazed down, towards the cold sea, the graveyard for millions of sailors. And wonder why anyone would prefer to live on rolling waves rather than flat ground.

Captain The Maiden's Revenge ships, cutting the waves easily, predators along the Eastern Islands dare not disturb The Maiden's Revenge Ship.

If maiden is my prison, the ocean will be the head of his prison.

Marine realizes she is the daughter of the felon, if she is afraid of the ocean, it is her greatest failure and humiliation, she was born for this purpose, like it or not.

One of the things that calmed him at the age of seventeen years, he was not obliged to carry out the orders of the Captain or the King because he was not considered an official member of snake.

However, his eighteenth birthday would arrive in another week. And when that day comes, there will be a coronation. Where Marine is required to pass several tests before being able to accompany his father the Felon as one of them.

Marine will be crowned a hitman with direct royal permission, just like his father's crew of fifty men, each of them a trained assassin.

If all this wasn't real, Marine would've laughed.

Not that he does not appreciate the Felon and his crew, Marine appreciates that.

Several centuries have passed since the King of the East appointed his first Felon to lead the royal fleet of ships in their battle to defend the Twelve Islands from the threat of the Great Continent far beyond the ocean.

Obedient only to the King, the Felon was an existence so terrifying, so thrilling, and no one with common sense dared to oppose their rule over the sea.

In addition, during the battle between the forces of the Twelve Islands and the Great Continent, the Felon led the royal fleet to victory so that the war ended.

Felon became the Eastern King's mainstay weapon to defeat anyone who opposed him. The phallus turned into a symbol of strength. His crew will do whatever it takes, whatever it takes, to keep the peace of the Eastern Isles.

Felons are cruel, but with good reason. Keeping the islands and the community safe.

And the Marine must find a way to accept the atrocity while sailing under the lead of the Felon?
