After traveling through the forest for a while, Bai Xiaochun began to notice the clues that told him about what had happened. He quickly became convinced that his assumption was correct. After emerging from the nameless mountain range, he pushed at high speed for several days until he returned in the Fallenstar Mountains, where he found the debris of the Luochen Clan. "It seems like Du Lingfei and Hou Yunfei are really getting news back to the sect." When he thought back to the bitter incident he had experienced, he sighed, then turned around and jumped back to the windskiff. Sitting cross-legged, he placed it in the distance.
"Back to the sect!" he stated, eyes shining with anticipation. Then he realized that he must have done a good service for the sect, and would definitely get a great reward when he returned.
It made him more excited. As he traveled, he turned his attention to his bag of holding. As he sifted through and arranged all the other holding bags he had collected from the cultivators of the Luochen Clan, he found some random items inside, as well as spirit stones.
In one handbag, even though he forgot who the owner was, he found the most valuable of all the items. It was a seed, roughly the size of a human fist. His pulse, almost like a beating heart, seemed to contain something alive. However, the beating was getting weaker.
After a bit of thought, Bai Xiaochun's skill with plants and vegetation led him to a startling conclusion. It is a precious and legendary spirit seed, which is said to have been extinct a long time ago. It was known as the Beastbirth Seed!
According to legend, if he absorbed the essence of another spirit beast, he would be able to naturally reproduce that same spirit beast. For a powerful ferocious beast that had difficulty reproducing, Beastbirth Seeds like this were actually priceless.
It was the same for cultivators who had powerful spirit beast pets. Such cultivators were all thirsty of having successive generations of their powerful spirit beasts. Unfortunately, they were usually limited to a single pet, which meant that Beastbirth Seeds were extremely valuable to them.
It was impossible to tell how the Luochen Clan's enemy cultivators had come to possess such a precious item. Presumably, it was a kind of luck that people encountered. After all, the Luochen Clan had been found in the Fallenstar Mountains, a place.
After a few more thoughts, Bai Xiaochun came to the conclusion that whoever the cultivators of the Luochen Clan discovered the Beastbirth Seed most likely did not know what it was, which would explain why it was not properly nurtured.
Along the way, Bai Xiaochun picked up some wood impregnated with spiritual energy. After carving it into a small box, he carefully placed the Beastbirth Seed into it, where on the fluctuations the life force of the seed gradually stabilized.
Bai Xiaochun put away the wooden box and took a deep breath. Then, he sent a speeding windskiff across the horizon, following the same path they had taken earlier, to make his way closer and closer to the Spirit Stream Sect.
A month went by pretty quickly. On the initial journey, they did not have very many spirit stones, and hence only used the windskiff at night. But now, Bai Xiaochun's handbag was filled with spirit stones, and he wasn't worried about wasting them at all. Hence, it only took one month before the southern edge gate of the Spirit Stream Sect appeared.
“It's been over half a year since I left. Finally, I'm back. " Bai Xiaochun stood on the windskiff, hair whipping the wind, looking like a powerful master. However, he suddenly decided that it was the wrong image, and quickly turned back into the dilapidated Outer Sect disciple robe he wore during the desperate battle with the Luochen Clan.
Now he looked like someone who was willing to fight to the death for the sect. Upon his return, the bloodstains on his clothes, and the various places where the cloth had been torn and punctured, would be obvious witnesses to the dangerous crisis he faced.
Feeling very happy, he sent a windskiff closer to the sect. However, just as he was about to cross the border, an invisible barrier appeared, sending a windskiff bouncing backwards.
"Huh?" he thinks. The rebound strength almost made him fall from Windskiff.
It was at this point that a beam of light suddenly shot towards him from the main gate. A young man appeared, a calm expression as he looked at Bai Xiaochun.
"Unknown Daoist Fellow, what brings you to the Spirit Stream Sect?" Even when those words came out of his mouth, he saw a windskiff, and then on Bai Xiaochun's clothes, and his brows furrowed. "You have the windskiff of the Spirit Stream Sect, and you are wearing the robe of an Outer Sect disciple? Plus the main gate of the Spirit Stream Sect that prevented you from entering ?! You who?!"
The young man's eyes glittered coldly as he performed a spell motion with his right hand. Instantly, his cultivation base surged with the fluctuations of the eighth level of Qi Condensation.
Bai Xiaochun retreated, looking at the bewildered shield.
"Older Brother," he said, "what happened? Why can't I enter the sect? I am Outer Sect disciple Bai Xiaochun from Fragrant Cloud Peak! "
The young man frowned, and just as he was about to say something, he started to be surprised.
"Wait, are you Bai Xiaochun?" The more he studied Bai Xiaochun, the more familiar he became. He had attended Bai Xiaochun's funeral service, where his portrait was displayed on top of his tombstone. A tremble spread to the young man, and when he realized that Bai Xiaochun's clothes were stained with blood, he gasped. "You ... You're not dead yet?!?!"
"I'm not dead at all!" Even as Bai Xiaochun stared in surprise, the young man excitedly took out a jade slip and sent a message back to the sect.
As the news of Bai Xiaochun was sent back, Li Qinghou was in secluded meditation on Fragrant Cloud Peak. Suddenly, his eyes opened, and a tremor flowed through him.
At the same time, the news was conveyed to the sect leader, whose jaw had fallen. He immediately sent a stream of divine sense to the south bank's main gate, and when he saw Bai Xiaochun, he was first startled, then delighted. He immediately started sending notices to the sect.
It only took a few breaths of time to pant in disbelief to start rising. The collective voice was so loud that it even sounded faint outside the main gate. Next, the bells began to ring.
"Bai Xiaochun? Didn't he die? How can he live?!?! ”
Many people started flying out from within the sect. Somewhat surprisingly, the first row was Hou Yunfei. When he emerged from the main gate and saw Bai Xiaochun, an expression of disbelief appeared on his face. After the deadly chase that the two of them had followed, he never wanted to believe that Bai Xiaochun was really dead. However, deep down, he was sure that no disciple could come out of such a bitter situation.
"Junior Brother Bai !!" she cried. Laughing, he rushed forward and hugged Bai Xiaochun.
"Older Brother Hou …." Bai Xiaochun replied, flashing. At this point, he realized that the sect thought he was dead. He looked at Hou Yunfei, his eyes filled with happiness.
"Come, let's go back to the sect!" Hou Yunfei said excitedly. He grabbed Bai Xiaochun and immediately headed back through the main gate. With Hou Yunfei there, Bai Xiaochun could now enter the sect. As for the young man from the start, he followed, clearly shaken. He had personally participated in the extermination of the Luochen Clan, and had seen evidence of the battle fought by Bai Xiaochun, including the shattered corpses of the cultivators of the Luochen Clan. To see that Bai Xiaochun had returned alive made him very astonished.
Almost as soon as Bai Xiaochun walked through the front gate, more people started rushing towards him from all directions.
"Ninth Fat ?!" Big Fatty Zhang, Third Fatty Hei, and the other Fatty Elder Brothers from the servant district were very happy they were shaking. It was especially true for the Great Fatty Zhang, who gave a big hug to Bai Xiaochun, tears streaming down his face.
Bai Xiaochun was touched. Seeing how many people were swarming around him, he suddenly felt as if everything he did was truly worth it.
Then, a beam of light flashed, that was Li Qinghou, who had a hesitant expression on his face as he looked at Bai Xiaochun. In his hand was a bag, inside all the remnants of the blood-stained clothes he had collected while searching for Bai Xiaochun.
He more than anyone understood the grave and the deadly dangers that Bai Xiaochun faced.
Bai Xiaochun rushed forward, clasped his hands and bowed to Li Qinghou. "Greetings, Prince of the Peak!"
Li Qinghou was usually a very calm person, but at the moment he could not stop himself from trembling. Reaching out, he placed his hand on Bai Xiaochun's head and said, "I'm glad you're still alive," Li Qinghou said. "It's good you're alive."
"This is my house!" Bai Xiaochun said, puffing out his chest. "I am willing to go through hell or high water for this sect!" Then he waved his sleeve, deliberately revealing the many blood-stained holes within.
People continued to flow from all three mountain peaks on the southern edge. Everyone wanted to see Bai Xiaochun, and when they saw his dilapidated and blood-stained clothes, they were shocked.
That was especially true when people started spreading the words he had just spoken. Everyone was shaken, and when they saw Bai Xiaochun, in their hearts, they felt.
When the crowd was built, the sound of a young woman's cry could be heard. It was none other than Du Lingfei. He spent the last few days in tears, to the point that his weight dropped. When he heard the people saying that Bai Xiaochun had returned, his mind started pounding, and he instantly dropped everything and ran fast.
When he actually looked at Bai Xiaochun, even more tears began to flow. He rushed over and hugged her, crying and laughing and at the same time. He hardly dared to believe that what he saw was true. In response, Bai Xiaochun felt a warm sensation in his heart.
His hands almost started moving towards the protruding area of his clothes, but then he remembered that there were many people watching, and he held back.
"As I said, Elder Sister Du," he said coldly, raising his chin, "if I, Bai Xiaochun, only have one air left, I will never let anyone hurt you." When those disgusting words came out of his mouth, he looked like he was looking at the entire world.
However, Du Lingfei became somewhat limp, and deep within his eyes, the emotions hidden within them turned even sweeter than before.
The people from the Hall of Justice were also there, led by Ouyang Jie. When he saw Bai Xiaochun, he looked surprised for a moment, but then very happy. It was especially true when he saw Bai Xiaochun's tattered condition, and then heard the words he had just said to Li Qinghou, where he nodded his head.
"Bai Xiaochun, I'm Ouyang Jie of the Hall of Justice."
When Bai Xiaochun heard the words 'Hall of Justice', his heart was pounding, but then he thought back to the incredible service he had done. Chest bloated as before, he clasped his hands respectfully to Ouyang Jie.
Ouyang Jie rarely smiled, but he smiled now as he said, "Why don't you come back with me to look at the sect leader and talk about what happened with the Luochen Clan?"
He waved his finger towards Bai Xiaochun, causing a spirit mist to appear under his feet, which made him fly into the distance with Ouyang Jie.
Li Qinghou looked extremely happy as he turned into a beam of light that also shot out with them.
As for all the other disciples, they watched Bai Xiaochun leave, and most sighed in surprise, and began to discuss matters among themselves when they dispersed. Of course, the news of the living Bai Xiaochun spread quickly.
Eventually, almost everyone in the Spirit Stream Sect learned of this matter. Most people were very happy, but back at his immortal cave, Qian Dajin trembled, and an expression of terror could be seen on his face.
"Damn it, I can't believe he didn't die !! How could he escape such a deadly pursuit !?
"He may not have known that I was the one who arranged it to continue that mission …. Ok? There's no way he could have known …. " A variety of expressions flashed across Qian Dajin's face. Finally, he sighed, thinking of all the possible bad things that could happen.
