The Dandelion Motel

The Dandelion Motel
The Love of a Mother

I'm going to start this chapter with a very famous phrase, "You know the reason why there's no call for a parent to lose a child? A wife who loses her husband is called a widow, a husband who loses his wife is called a widower, while a child who loses his parents is called an orphan."

Because losing a child is an unspeakable feeling, his sadness is indescribable.

This story is not only about children who lost their parents, but also parents who had to be separated from their children.

For Nancy 9 years ago was the best day of her life. That was the day where she lost all hope, her husband and was also forced to leave her children.

What is more painful than the love of clapping one hand?

A love that cannot be realized by action

A love that cannot be shown through attention.

A love that can only echo without actually being able to show its existence.

So what hurts more than that?

A mother's love that cannot be conveyed to her children.

For a mother her child is the universe, her soul and her breath.

And when fate separates Nancy and her children, it's unimaginable how devastated she feels.

It was as if just yesterday he promised to wipe away every tear drop on their cheeks, against all who tried to hurt them and make sure they were always smiling.

Like it was yesterday...

Time is the enemy.

Nancy watched her children cry, scream and call out her name on the darkest of days when they were forcibly separated.

Death is not the most frightening thing for parents. Leaving her son alone in the cruel world was what they were most worried about.

But Nancy can what?

Destiny comes without a word,

without a plan, without a plan.

It was not only the most painful day for Nancy but for all her family, especially for Rosaline.

Suddenly he became alone taking care of his little sister and a sick grandmother.

Nancy realizes that love without reunion is a torture but she has decided to leave, disappear from her children.

It is not because he does not love his children, it is because he loves them so much.

Nancy put her jacket together and slept curled up behind the back of a truck. This is his ride to all.

He can't count it anymore. He only knew, he had to arrive at the address written on the business card as soon as possible. So he hitchhiked anything and worked odd jobs in order to eat.

If only Rosaline and Dante knew their mother was suffering like this, I don't know what they would do.

Leon gets out of the car with Rosaline in a house with a large yard.

"Gee.it's a big house. Is this your client's house?" rosaline said as she stared at the house in amazement.

"It's my parents' house." Leon replied, holding Rosaline's hand to walk in tandem.

"Son, you said you were going to see someone important and then why are we here?" the woman protested while gently hitting Leon's muscular hand.

"It's time I introduced you to them because we're getting married soon" she explained.

"But I'm not ready yet, what if they don't approve of our marriage?" rosaline asked with a worried expression.

Kekhawatiran wanita itu bukan tanpa alasan, mengingat status keluarganya yang berbeda dari orang kebanyakan mungkin saja bisa jadi alasan orang tua Leon untuk tidak setuju.

"Agree it or not, I'll keep marrying you." replied Leon steadily.

As soon as they opened the door, Anna's mother immediately hugged Leon.

"Mom's happy you're home, I miss you so much" she said.

For a moment Anna's mother took off her arms and grabbed Leon's cheeks, looking at every corner of the man's face.

"You're so much better looking now." and then you kissed Leon's forehead.

Rosaline who witnessed the interaction between the mother and the child became moved, and added a sense of longing for her mother.

"Who is this girl?" ask Anna's mother who just realized the existence of Rosaline because since earlier she was too focused on releasing longing for Leon.

"It's Rosaline, my future wife" Leon replied.

"really? Mom is so happy you're home. And hearing this happy news, my mother became even happier." she said with a smile.

"You guys are so well-matched, beautiful and handsome. It's perfect" he said again.

Leon and Rosaline only blushed at the praise from Anna's mother.

"Oh yeah, where's mom?" leon asked in the midst of their happiness. Anna's mother did not answer...

"Basin' bad boy! Finally you dare to go home apparently." shouted Mr. Sam who suddenly came out of one of the rooms in the house.

Leon who already knew his father's habits responded casually. In contrast to Rosaline, the woman was slightly aghast.

"Why indeed? Isn't this his house, too. Your son just came home after a long time, but you scolded him." protested Anna's mother.

"Once in a while we have to teach him a lesson, you've always defended him." replied Sam.

"Already, already, mom's dad stop fighting here while there are guests or I'm going to leave" said Leon trying to mediate.

Leon glanced at Rosaline who was a little shocked because her arrival was instead greeted with the sparring of the couple.

"Leon smiled faintly, don't be afraid. The two of them were indeed used to fighting like that." he whispered.

Rosaline is still trying to understand what Leon is saying.

"Hi, Rosaline. How are you doing? How's your motel business?" asked Sam suddenly after ending the debate with his wife.

"Ba-good om, Om how are you? The motel went well thanks to Om."

"Goodoo. As you can see, it's getting older" he replied.

"Do you know each other?" ask Anna's mother.

"Yes, aunt." said Rosaline with a friendly smile.

"Wait a minute, why aren't you surprised I brought him here? Are you spying on me again?" search Leon.

Mr. Sam did not reply, his facial expression turned clumsy.

Leon and Rosaline finally reveal their wedding plans, and everything goes well. Leon's parents did not mind at all, instead they felt very happy.

Leon also did not expect they would be able to interact as smoothly as this, there was no stiffness at all as before.

All her hate has melted away, all there is is is joy.

Anna's mother pulls Leon's hand when the man just came out of the restroom.

"There's something you want to say" she said, taking her to the room Leon used to live in.

"Have you visited your real mother's grave?" ask Anna's mother.

"Why should I visit him? The mother who raised me is here." she replied.

"You still hate him?"

Leon turned his face away without answering.

"Your mother and father are innocent. I'm the one you should hate."

Leon's forehead frowned trying to digest what Anna's mother said.

"Maybe it's time for me to tell you a fact you don't already know."
