The Curse of the Manggala Sukma Village: Chapter 22

The suffering is not over. Yati and Iwan still have to hide in the wilderness which every day is monitored by the residents of Janggala Sukma Village. In the first days they were both in the forest, they could not sleep well. But over time they began to get used to it.

"When are we going to like it?" Ask Yati to Iwan.

"Silent. I'm sure Mr. Bandri must be trying to free us from this place. It's all just a matter of time. We will not be in this forest forever. Just relax." Reply Iwan.

It rained quite a bit that night. Many villagers decided to return to their homes, because it was very impossible to conduct a search. And that's good luck for Yati and Iwan. Because they no longer need to keep watch in turn. They can sleep well. Moreover, Iwan has also made the cave safe from the villagers, by collecting tree branches and leaves in the forest, to cover the mouth of the cave. If until Mbah Bengkut comes directly to this forest, then the two of them must be ready to run from this forest as fast and as far as possible, which would be very draining of both of them. Yati and Iwan incised a line on one part of the cave wall, to ascertain how long they had both spent in the forest.

"It's been two weeks. Are you sure Mr. Bandri will save us?"

Yati looks desperate, because it is too long in the forest. But Iwan continues to convince Yati, that Mr. Bandri will definitely come to save them both.

"Yati, Mr. Bandri has many friends. He will definitely ask his friends for help to save us. Moreover, we are both his favorite students. It is highly unlikely that Mr. Bandri would let us suffer in this forest. He will definitely come Yati. Sure." Reply Iwan.

"What do you mean Iwan? Don't you want to be with me anymore?"

Yati's words made Iwan surprised. Unexpectedly, Yati herself asked Iwan. In fact, Yati has never been touched by any man. But due to the extremely cold weather, Yati could no longer force herself to endure with just the clothes covering her body. He had been wearing that outfit for days. Which means, Yati was actually already sick a few days ago. It's just that he covered it up from Iwan.

"You sure?" Iwan asked doubtfully.

Yati did not answer. He just nodded.

Slowly, Iwan began to approach Yati's body. He hugged the woman he loved very tightly. Iwan could feel that Yati's body was very, very cold. It's colder than usual. His face was also very pale. Iwan felt very sorry to see Yati's situation like that. The woman he knew was strong and tough, but could still feel pain as well. Iwan did not expect at all, if Yati to ask for a warm hug from him. In fact, Yati is a woman who is difficult to be teased by anyone. Let alone an ordinary person like Iwan, a manly and handsome person is not necessarily able to hug the body of a beautiful woman who has accompanied him for many years.
