The Contracts

The Contracts
He, Gaby

D’Flo Cafe

Such is the jumbo-sized writing that is plastered near the entrance. The one-story building, dominated by brown wood, has been operating since nine in the morning. Cafe visitors who come and go without stopping, not infrequently make the workers overwhelmed.

One of them is Galencia Gaby Dionzha. Just call me Gaby. The petite girl in a short-sleeved white shirt with a subordinate to the knee-length sea-blue skirt, moved agilely to the corner of the cafe. Straight, straight-backed hair that was shaved high, curled up following the movements of his legs wrapped in shabby sneakers dark blue.

“Latte and cheesecake to accompany today. Enjoy, Brother.” Gaby smiled kindly at the two girls sitting in the corner by the window. Nothing was needed anymore, Gaby immediately returned to the kitchen to deliver the other order.

“Great spirit, Brother.” Sea interrupts when Gaby passes the cashier, who is currently on guard.

Gaby laughed. Sea was his first friend when Gaby worked at the cafe two years ago. The age difference that is only one year adrift makes them quickly familiar without feeling awkward. Gaby is also closer to Sea than any of her other colleagues.

“Should be spirit, dong, let his sustenance not pegged chicken.” Gaby smiled broadly, showing the tray she was carrying. “This alert first, Se.”

After a busy day, Gaby's work is finally done. The cafe was closed half an hour ago. He also finished the cafe before returning home.

“Gue first, Brother.” Sea waved his hand before boarding the motorbike that picked him up.

“Cautious.” Gaby smiled slightly, staring at Sea's departure until it was lost at the turn. “Huft, I feel aja or emang today is tired, yes?”

Gaby is still standing in front of the cafe. The clock has been pointed at nine o'clock at night, but he has no intention of returning to the contract. “Males road, can fly just no, anyway?”

Taking a deep breath, as if about to make his way to the battlefield, Gaby moved from her place with lethargic strides. It could have been he ordered ojol, but his contract, which was not too far from the cafe, made him think again. It is better to use it for more important needs.

Walking for almost ten minutes, Gaby arrived in front of a three-story building that looked quiet with not too bright lighting. He still had to climb stairs to get to his rented house. His slow steps sounded loud, breaking the silence.

Arriving inside, Gaby throws her bag of origin. Then, lay himself down on the little bed. “Hah, my back. Very happy to feel.”

Gaby moved both hands on the side of the bed staring at the ceiling. For a moment, he was silent. I don't know what her little brain is thinking.

“Laper.”

Gaby immediately got up, stroking the stomach of her thrashing queen asking for intake. He walked to the small refrigerator. I wish there were ingredients that could be cooked.

“Yeah, so poor I am!”

Gaby smiled when she saw the contents of her refrigerator. There was an egg and bottles of water. Sure enough, tomorrow, Gaby just ate with a sprinkling of salt.

Sighing softly, Gaby smiled widely. Take the egg and bring it to the mini kitchen. “Although it's just eggs, it can't be cocky, Gab. Must remain grateful.”

Gaby squirms slowly. Started to pierce with the light entering through the curtain slit. The lentic eyelashes move before the petals open perfectly. My gaze shone on the clock at the nightstand. At 6:17.

“Feelings, I just slept, already early in the morning,” Gaby muttered in a hoarse voice. He pulled his hand up before getting up from the bed. Walk slowly towards the window and open it a little. “Good morning, world of deceit! Today, what surprise will you point to me?”

Gaby chuckles softly. “Whatever it is, I hope you don't leave me alone after the mess you made.”

It takes 45 minutes to prepare and have breakfast. Gaby had to leave immediately and reach the cafe before eight. Whistling happily, Gaby locked the door. Once confirmed safe, he was ready to start his activities.

The woman who was in her late forties was Miss Diana, the owner of the contract. For almost two weeks, the woman went out of town. He said, anyway, visiting the husband as well as on vacation, to neutralize anger in the face of human species Gaby aka the often ngeles when billing rented money.

Miss Diana looked up, Gaby's reflexes lowered. Hiding behind a wall. “Dead me.”

“Awas aja, the boy. This time, I won't let.”

Gaby slightly stood up, peeking at the woman who stepped into the house. He breathed a sigh of relief, his bright morning freed from the rampage of the lioness. “Mother, your son is still safe. Don't know if later.”

Gaby sped up her pace, running small when she saw the D’Flo entrance. Because of the evasive action earlier, he was almost late to work. Five minutes before eight.

Gaby greeted the sweeping Sea. Also other colleagues who have been busy doing their respective tasks. Soon he went into the staff room to change his uniform. He tidied his hair once again, a little messy as a result of running for the sake of chasing time.

The cafe opened at nine in the morning. One by one, visitors began to arrive. As always, Gaby is trying to provide her best service. Smiling kindly while taking down orders.

“Gab, can you please dispose of the trash? I still have orders to make,” pinta Reyhan, one of the D’Flo chefs.

“Can, Brother. Wait a minute, yeah, I anter this first.”

Gaby passed from the window connected to the kitchen. Not long after, he returned. Put the tray on the pantry table. Then, carry out Reyhan's orders.

Through the back door, Gaby's small steps lead her to a dumpster five meters away next to the cafe.

Bugh

Gaby smiled with satisfaction after throwing two jumbo-sized trash bags into the garbage bin, as if all the misfortune in her life was wasted with the garbage. Clapping his hands a few times, he had to return to the cafe. Gaby snorted when she found a woman standing right behind her. Instead of feeling happy about meeting his high school friend, Gaby is sick of seeing that woman's smile that looks annoying in her eyes.

“Aish, really late afternoon meet grandma drop by,” Gaby murmured.

“Hello, Gaby! Long time no see,” greet the woman with her centile style that never changes. Just call him, Rachel.

Rachel took off the sunglasses that perched sweetly on her nose. He crossed paths, looking at Gaby with a perusing look. “Iuwh, from the past, you haven't changed, yes. Drops to be lackeys.”

Gaby snorted softly, reluctantly responding. He admitted, he was like a potato when juxtaposed with the woman. Rachel was a beautiful figure, her face smooth without pores. His body also changed drastically, looking proportionate like a famous model. The news that he heard, Rachel has a salon and boutique that is famous among conglomerates. No wonder the woman looks so classy.

However, those advantages were meaningless given its irritating nature.

“Ck, long time no see, you become arrogant, yes.” Rachel was upset, feeling neglected.

Gaby smiled a little. “Not arrogant, but I'm busy, nih. If your arrival just want to lower me, mending you go, deh. Without you telling me, I realized where I was all this time.”

Sighing softly, Gaby stepped away, leaving Rachel who was looking at him sharply.

Gaby's life is not much different, whether it was then or now. However, Gaby makes sure not to be silent again when others humble her. I know that I’m nothing, so I don’t want to lose myself either.
