The Cold Little Prince

Part X: Confession

Monday morning was busy. Morning classes are a tough challenge for some students. Yoonbin is not an exception. Especially when he who had been used to the sweet messages from Yuna for these two days did not find it. He was less excited.

It was late afternoon when Yoonbin was getting ready to visit Yuna. Since Yuna was hospitalized two days ago, Yoonbin has never been absent to visit. He had always been the one to accompany Yuna the longest. Don't ask how happy the girl is. He could babble enthusiastically telling unimportant things just because he wanted to hear the deep voice of Yoonbin.

Just as Yoonbin was about to get out of her college building, rain suddenly fell. He cursed because he forgot to bring a raincoat. Yoonbin tightened her black jacket as the rain became increasingly heavy even with deafening lightning. The sound of lightning was the same as Yuna's. It shrieked and made Yoonbin's ears hurt. Yoonbin likes Yuna's voice.

Yoonbin looked down at the floor she was on. As she lifted her head and looked towards the right, she found Somi who was already standing next to her. He was silent and had no intention of greeting her. Do what.

"You want to see Yuna?" Somi asked without further ado.

"Yes" Yoonbin replied briefly. His expression was flat and cold just like the weather that afternoon.

With hesitation Somi again said. "The rain is so heavy. Maybe it's still a long time..."

Yoonbin observed Somi who looked nervous. She is actually confused as to what to behave with Somi. The girl is nice, but Yoonbin can't deal with her like she's dealing with Yuna who is too energetic. The interaction between him and Somi has always been one-sided.

"Bin, if you don't mind, will you go with me? Fearful until the rain is still big and the clock is made abis," said Somi who was responded with delicacy by Yoonbin.

"No need. If you don't hunt, come tomorrow as well" Yoonbin refused subtly. He considered Yuna's jealous attitude. Kasian Somi if she should be the object of her baseless accusations. Kasian is also Yuna because she has not healed but her strength has run out to prejudge.

"Someone wants me to talk about, too. Just for a moment Bin," persuaded Somi. Yoonbin could not resist other than bowing and thrusting her hand towards Somi.

"Car keys? I'm the one who drives."

Somi gave her car keys without hesitation. "Parked the deck here anyway."

Yoonbin followed the girl who ran small in front of her. The car keys were unlocked, both of them coming in with a slight splash of rain on their clothes. Yoonbin opened her newly washed jacket, then gave it to Somi. The girl was wearing a short white shirt that looked transparent due to the splash of rain. Yoonbin is not interested to see anyway, only Somi may not be comfortable because of it.

"Thank you" said Somi then wearing Yoonbin's jacket.

"Thank you for the ride, too" Yoonbin replied after turning on Somi's car engine.

Silent mood. There is only the sound of a car engine with the rain that mixes into one. When the black sedan was parked in the hospital parking lot, Somi began to talk.

"I only asked for 10 minutes for Bin to talk" he said in a raucous voice.

Yoonbin wants to be horrified. He sits quietly and codes Somi to talk. Somi already understands that kind of debate.

"About our relationship Bin."

"Oh. Okay," Yoonbin responds while putting on a face.

Somi took a deep breath and then started talking. "Past... What do you think of me as?"

"Daughter right?" replied Yoonbin innocently. Or moron.

"It's not Bin" Somi said in frustration. "I just feel like your treatment of me by going to Yuna is different."

"You're two different people" Yoonbin said.

"Yes, I know. You treated Yuna like a queen while at the same time I. I realized you only agreed to be my girlfriend because I shot you. Even though I still don't understand why you're so happy if there's another girl you like."

Yoonbin was silent. Somi observes Yoonbin's facial features that show little change. He was silent with all the calmness that was identical to him. Somi is tired of facing Yoonbin.

Silent. Yoonbin refused to answer. But after a brief consideration, he decided to answer.

"Yuna is a bully. The noisy chick that suddenly comes into my life is all too ordinary."

Yoonbin suddenly stopped. Remembering Yuna made her miss. It hasn't been 24 hours since their last meeting.

"He made me feel alive just by his presence. He is stupid and loves the meaning. From the beginning I never wanted to be involved in further relationships with any girl. Because I'm scared," Yoonbin didn't follow up. He gulped as his memories suddenly spun and made his head slightly dizzy. "Gue was afraid to love him... And stupid me, because what I'm afraid of is happening."

"Do you love her?" somi's voice shook as she asked.

While looking at Somi with a pushy look, Yoonbin replied. "Yes. I love her. Since long time ago. That's why I always wanna pull my self away from her. I won't hurt her and put her on danger. She desires happiness but I can't give it to her."

Somi's heart ached especially when she saw tears dripping from Yoonbin's beautiful fertilizer. A guy as cold as Yoonbin can cry too. Things Somi never thought she would see in her life.

"Sorry Somi, I know this hurts you. I nerima lo with the hope Yuna will know and away from me. But he was too selfish to realize that there was a girl I was dating. I don't mean bad to you. But I admit that I'm an asshole. I'm selfish for thinking of only one girl" Yoonbin said amid tears.

Somi listened carefully. Mournfully. But that's the truth.

"Yuna is the only girl I want to cherish the most. She is more precious than anything I ever had in life. She is. too precious that I feel scared everytime I think about her."

"I know that Yoonbin's. I always knew that was what you felt about me this far. Thank you for being honest," with teary eyes Somi responded to Yoonbin's speech. "You never looked at me the way you looked at Yuna. Even though you said kelas same Yuna, but your eyes said that you actually like to smile when she is around you. Your eyes tell you everything."

"Sorry Somi" said Yoonbin.

"Seriously Bin, falling in love is not a mistake. You have to tell and show her about your feeling. Yuna is not smart enough to catch all the sweet treatment you do for her. He just understood that you were explicit," Somi said as she touched Yoonbin's shoulder. She's still sad, but trying hard because she doesn't want to look like a hard girl to move on.

"Lo is really good Som. I don't understand" Yoonbin said with a smile on her face. Somi rarely saw Yoonbin smile. "Thank you for trying to understand me. Sorry for making you date a jerk like me."

Somi shook her head. "That's Bin. The days I had with you sure were the best thing ever happened to my life," Somi smiled and it made Yoonbin's heart touched. "That's all I want to talk about. Thanks to Bin. Now you can go get Yuna. I'll be followed."

Yoonbin nodded then immediately went down after saying thank you and apologized again. Somi observed her hasty steps. Yoonbin must be so dear to Yuna.

The rain has gone. But Somi's heart is still scarred. He patted his face with both hands and then cried quite loudly. A man outside his car observes the confusion. Then he tapped on Somi's tightly closed window.

"Mba, all right?"

Somi lowered her car glass. His eyes were puffy while the familiar figure was staring questioningly.

"Why are you crying?" ask the guy.

"Lo abis nengok Yuna, Lix?" ask Somi to Felix. He was looking at Yuna. It just so happens that the parking lot is the same Somi. The world is narrow.

"Lo why?" instead of answering, Felix asked back.

"Felix, you busy? If I'm not busy, will I want to stay in this mall?"

Felix stunned. He was silent before finally nodding and involving himself further in Jeon Somi's life.
