Today, the investigation meeting resumed to discuss the results of the victim's autopsy

the Itaewon Forensic Laboratory. Mark, Dean, Jeffrey, and Taeyong are ready

with reports in each other's hands.

“Doctor Lee, how is the victim's autopsy result?” ask Dean who's on duty

moderator or rather the agenda director of the meeting that afternoon.

“Baik—” Taeyong sighed deeply

“We perform autopsies of each of the four bodies in different places, that is, class, class,

kitchen, cafeteria, teacher room, toilet, library, hall, and parking lot.”

“Based on the time of death, the corpse in the cafeteria, identified as the cook, was,

killed first, estimated at 13.30.”

“And as per the hypothesis I submitted, death is caused by CNS damage,

starting from the optic lobe of the brain, and motor nerves. Both parts of the nervous system are quite vital, and can cause death quickly if damaged.”

“The irregularities we found, there are foreign substances that settle in the serum, erythrocytes, and

liver cells, and our lab can't identify the compounds

that is at the moment. The substance we suspect, because it is not a component

biological, but not also artificial or synthetic components.”

“Is that the toxin you mean?” ask Mark to conclude.

“Jeffrey, contact Professor Eric Sohn of KAIST toxicology department. He is

the professor who investigated the case of mass food poisoning five years ago in Busan, was with me. Coincidentally, this is similar canjadi.” said Mark sure.

“Good Brother!” answer Jeffrey. He immediately grabbed his phone, and typed something there.

“Then what else did you find, doctor Lee?” asked Dean who had been busy putting together a puzzle in his head. His expression was no different from that of a very serious Mark.

“We managed to isolate and identify the physical characteristics of the compound, and it turns out that the substance is a nano-sized liquid-plasma with bilayer” encapsulation

“So, it’s inhaled and dissolved? What the hell!” dean swore after feeling like he was solving a complicated puzzle.

“For those types of substances, we really did not find any identity in any forensic or biomedical database. Both national and international. In fact, we have opened a database of several countries.” said Taeyong. Everyone took a long breath.

“How about food samples?”

“Ah! The same compound was found in all kinds of foods of the day. I worked with Professor Lee Ji Eun of SNU's Food Analysis department for PCR and GC-MS analysis. But again, we can only identify his physical characteristics. The substance is volatile and—” Taeyong hangs up his words,

made everyone in the room stare intently curious.

“Detected benzyl alcohol compound, the compound is the main constituent of cherry synthetic flavor.” continued Taeyong with an expression that also shows astonishment.

“Che-cherry?” jeffrey asked to confirm, He seemed unable to digest the direction of Taeyong's explanation.

“Yes, likely to disguise its identity as a toxin. Professor Lee said, the toxin maker is very smart and out of the box.”

Taeyong's speech made the two detectives in the room frown. The atmosphere was silent for a moment, only roaring

the breath heard.

A few moments later

TING!!

Jeffrey's phone sounded a notification.

“Toxicology professor Eric Sohn of KAIST is willing to cooperate in this case.”

"Tell him to come tomorrow."
