Chapter 53 Moving

The night that usually always feels warm because of someone's embrace, now feels very piercing the skin. After Sevia cleaned up her things, she went around the room touching every item that had been a witness to her story with Dave. Sevia took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "I need a new mood. I also resigned from the company where I worked. I just want to focus on my pregnancy. Maybe later also I will open a business that if it can be done at home," explained Sevia.

"Barra, can you tell me the chronology of what happened? He said it was you there?" ask Al.

"I was asked to pick Edel up because he couldn't deliver it. Dave was in such a hurry because he had some business, that when he was about to turn around, Dave didn't realize there was a bus going fast. The accident occurred because Dave cut the road, so pushed by the bus and finally squeezed between the bus and the trontoon car in front of him," explained Barra.

"Oh my God, why is he so stupid?" Al grabbed her hair rough. There was fear in his heart with what happened to his adopted son. He did not want what his son had to experience to befall his adopted son as well.

Shortly after, the operating room lights went out. Signs the operation is over. Al and the others immediately stood to the door, waiting for the doctor to give an explanation of how Dave was doing.

"Doctor, how's my son doing?"

"Doctor, is the operation going well?"

"Doctor, have we seen Dave yet?"

"Doctor, is Dave okay?"

The doctor, who had just come out of the operating room, immediately raised both hands, asking the patient's family to calm down. He felt dizzy being asked questions by the patient's family.

"Alhamdulillah the operation went well. The patient will be transferred to the ICU. Hopefully in the near future, the patient will soon be aware of his coma," explained Dr. Rio who handles Dave's surgery.
