CHAPTER 8: THE HIDDEN ARROW

A loud explosion occurred due to the Holuka sword attack, Mili's figure emerged from behind the black smoke from the explosion which resulted in his body flying for tens of meters and then landed on the ground.

Mili who had just landed on the ground spewed out a mouthful of blood, he stared intently at the 10 witches standing at the very bottom of the enemy side. Although the strongest among them were only rank 4 magicians, but because of their number that was large enough to be able to create a chain that disturbed Mili. Right, the chain that held Mili back just now and made her late for a second was the work of these witches.

"Against 2 spirits, the Knights and the group of magicians at the same time were really troublesome. Utilizing Mili who was injured from the blast attack of hers just now, Holuka shouted "Jirfa, don't hold back anymore, use your full strength! We'll open our Core Attack together to kill Mili! If we don't kill him now and let him escape from here until the poison in his body recovers, we won't have a chance to kill him again! Therefore, whatever happens, we will kill him here! So don't hesitate and Open your Core Attack".

"I see", said Jirfa who was slightly recovering from his wound from the push of Mili's attack, Jirfa's eyes were filled with determination and he grasped his 2 daggers firmly, ready to use the Core Attack.

Each spirit has their own unique attacks that are different from each other, the attack is called a Core Attack and is the strongest attack that each spirit has. If a spirit were to use their Core Attack, then it would mean that they were using all of their strength.

Generally every spirit can only use the Core Attack as much as once every day or even longer because when it finishes using the Core Attack, it is only possible to use the Core Attack, the Spirits would be exhausted so it would take them a long time to recover their strength again until they could use the next Core Attack.

Therefore, the spirits would use their Core Attacks after carefully calculating them since they could not use the 2nd time in a short period of time.

Here Holuka and Jirfa plan to use their respective Core Attackers which shows how determined they are to try to kill Mili.

Holuka took a breath, she muttered "Open Serangab Inti-".

Before Holuka finished using her Core Attack, an arrow flew from the forest quickly and rushed towards her.

"Dash!".

Holuka cut the arrow that tried to stab him using the sword easily, she said "Low ground like this will not give any wounds at all-".

"Booooom!".

Before Holuka finished her words, the sound of an explosion rang out, the arrow that she slashed down earlier turned white-colored smoke that immediately covered the area around her.

"Smoke bomb?" said Jirfa who discovered he really could not see the surrounding state.

Under the cover of the smoke, dozens of arrows flew back from various directions.

The soldiers began to gather around the Marquis to protect him while the other soldiers or Holuka and Jirfa smashed arrows that tried to attack them easily, although smoke disturbed their eyesight, both Holuka and Jirfa and the others could still sense the direction of the arrow movement using their power so that all the arrows were stopped.

But there were also some unlucky soldiers, they were late in responding which resulted in the arrow injuring them to the point that there was an arrow that managed to kill the Marquis soldier directly.

"Well!", replied Jirfa along with the other soldiers who began to pay more attention to the movement of the arrows around. Ever since they became more cautious, no one had been hurt by arrows anymore.

But unbeknownst to everyone, the purpose of the arrows was not to kill them but to distract them.

Under the cover of smoke as well as the shot of arrows, a figure of a man moved swiftly towards the injured Mili.

Mili who was injured was confused, he did not understand what was really going on here, especially who suddenly came firing arrows to interfere with their fight.

The figure of a man appeared in front of Mili, he took something that seemed like a bandage, Mili did not see clearly because it was covered by smoke.

Then the man stopped the bleeding on Mili's right arm wearing a bandage "Your wounds are heavy enough, can you walk? For now we have to get out of here first before the enemy starts to notice the moves I'm making".

Hearing the voice of the man standing in front of her, Mili opened her eyes wide in disbelief as she remembered the voice.

The voice of the man in front of him belonged to a man who brought him from the crisis of life and death yesterday, besides that he did remember there was a bow and arrow hidden in the corner of the man's room.

The problem is that the man shouldn't have come here because from his face, Mili knows how much he hates the battlefield, for that reason he shouldn't have come here.

"Why did you come here, Myro?", asked Mili confusedly.

True, the figure who fired arrows and smoke bombs to stop Mili fighting against the enemy was Myro.

Without wasting any time, Myro pulled Mili who was still confused and took her away from here "Is it important why I came here? What is most important now is to immediately escape before the enemy is aware, after which we can chat again".

Mili regained his senses, he nodded at Myro's words "You're right, whatever your reason for coming here, I thank Myro! If you don't come, I might die again".

Myro who kept Mili running away said in a low voice so that no enemy could be heard "Too fast to thank you, we are now not free from the enemy's attack".
