Chapter 11 New Work

After the second meeting, Wulan invited them to chat, all the while for lunch. He accidentally saw the brown envelope carried by Ericsson at the time. Ericsson is looking for a job. With a deep heart in speech, the woman tried to offend him.

"It just so happens that we can meet again, sorry to have invited you here in between your times." Wulan said while looking at the two people sitting in front of her.

"What's the apology for? after all we are not busy people either, so there is a lot of free time for this and that." Reply Ericsson who is unemployed when morning until afternoon.

"Yes, when we met I noticed you came out with a brown envelope. Are you looking for a job?" Wulan asked in her soft voice, which was a little curious.

"This envelope? Yeah, I'm actually looking for a job, but apparently it's not as easy as I thought." Appointing the brown envelope he had brought earlier.

"Well, what a coincidence, the cafe that I just opened a few weeks ago, again looking for employees. It would be nice if you joined there too. That's if you agree to work there!" The woman offered a job to Ericsson who had helped her. He felt he had to repay the kindness of the person sitting in front of him.

While the two men were talking, Ericsson and Wulan, on the other hand Alexia just kept quiet while enjoying the ice cream ordered for her. As if he was amazed by the sweetness and also the coldness given by the ice cream. He was also in his own world. Heedless of the two people who were nearby. 

For a moment Ericsson turned towards Alexia. Seeing the apparent peculiarities of the behavior of the woman. Ericsson felt it would be very difficult to work, if he was always with him. He also does not want the person who has just given the opportunity for him, feel disappointed with the results of his work later. So he wanted to refuse the job.

"Thank you for offering me a job, but I can't seem to take it." Ericsson has rejected a job offer from Wulan.

"Aren't you looking for a job? So why did you reject him? This job is not too heavy. Just serve the visitors and also a little clean up." It was clear that the woman who did not believe Ericsson would reject his offer. 

Well, it's a good opportunity, but what if everything's fucked up? Especially now that he keeps clinging to me? 

"Em.yah like this is a good opportunity. But….?" 

"Ouh..is it possible about salary? Relax, I always give a salary according to work standards. So you don't have to worry.

It's not the salary that's the problem, but I'm afraid it's gonna be a problem to take him with me. But how is it? The opportunity will not come a second time either. Did I just accept the offer?

"Ouh.no, it's not really a matter of salary that my mind, but…." Ericsson still hung up his amulet, but this time he had a glance towards Alexia.

Deliberately, Wulan followed where Ericsson's eyes glanced. And he understands something.

"Ah..I understand now! Don't worry it can also work, besides the atmosphere will also be crowded and fun." The light of Wulan who did not mind at all.

"It looks like you misunderstood, but if you can, can I take her to work?" Ericsson was hesitant to say it.

"You seem to mind a little bit about it?" 

"Oh of course not, I've just confirmed it enough. If you change your mind and take this job, tomorrow, you can work." Wulan said as she took the card from her wallet and gave it to Ericsson.

"Thank you for taking your time, then I'll leave. See you at the cafe." Wulan then left Ericsson and Alexia.

After the departure of Wulan Ericsson looked towards Alexia, where he was still very interested in the ice cream, so that the man could only take a deep breath while leaning his body on the back of the chair.

The next day, Ericsson actually came to the cafe listed on Wulan's business card yesterday. He saw the cafe was quite big and looked good. Not surprisingly, because the owner of the cafe is Wulan who was born from a wealthy family. Even so, she is an independent woman. Where he does not rely on the status or help of his family to establish his business.  At a young age, he also has several branches from his cafe in several places. And that has been a proud achievement.

Ericsson works as a waiters, of course with Alexia still attached to her. But this time, the Goddess of the night was quite disturbing. Which makes Ericsson feel bad about the other employees. So he had to pull Alexia back, trying to talk to the woman, to keep waiting for her by being behind. But at that moment Wulan accidentally passed by and heard his second conversation. Wulan approached Ericsson and Alexia.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop on your conversation, but I accidentally passed by and heard it. Looks like there's something you two are discussing?" Said Wulan who involved himself in the talks Ericsson and Alexia.

"Not so, I just asked Alexia to wait for me behind. That's all!" Ericsson told the woman who became the boss.

"Em...why doesn't he just work? Wouldn't it be better than he had to keep waiting for you back here? After all, from the beginning I have also accepted it for work.

It looks like it will become a problem. How can a Goddess work? and he doesn't know how to work anyway. This will definitely be much more difficult.

"Yes, that's a better idea. But the problem is he has never worked at all, or even he will never be able to work. It will cause trouble later !"

"Did you just say that?" Looks like Alexia did not accept the words from Ericsson. 

"Isn't it true you never worked?" Ericsson is getting stronger.

"Of course I've worked, even in a much larger place many times more than this place. Senior Lang.." Alexia's words came to a standstill as she was about to learn about her work in the sky.

"That's why you're getting so noisy. Why not try it first. Alexia will learn quickly too. Isn't that Alexia?" Wulan is defending Alexia.

"Well.of course." Replied confidently while staring intently at Ericsson.

Alexia was accepted as an employee and worked that day.
