Hearing Darren's statement, my heart was beating very fast. There was nothing I could do but talk to him.

Did I not hear wrong? Darren said what just now? She's angry that she's jealous to see me kissing Rey's sister?

I can't believe this. Right now I'm just dreaming. Darren can't repay my love. All this time he only thought of me as his sister. Not more.

Suddenly the spoon in my hand fell to the floor. And at once, Darren and I both realized and stopped staring at each other. At this time our eyes were both fixed on the spoon that was now lying on the floor. Between our legs.

No more talk after the incident. I resumed my delayed meal, while Darren was just starting dinner.

When I was full first and was about to get away from the dining table, Darren suddenly held me by wrapping his fingers on my wrist.

"Where are you going? Accompany Mas eat first," said mas Darren as he looked up at me. I don't want to sit back in my chair.

Somehow after hearing Darren's statement earlier, I felt awkward towards him instead. I was confused as to how our relationship would go. Coupled with the status of the two of us who still have a partner.

Right now, I'm still Rey's lover, while Darren's mas, he's still a husband because they're both not officially divorced.

After Darren was full, we both sat on the long sofa in front of my room. There was no conversation between the two of us. We both just fell silent. Maybe Darren feels awkward, just like me. But strangely enough, Darren never let go of my hand. He kept holding it without ever letting go.

I also don't know what Darren really wants. Why is he silent like me. He should have started to open the subject, because this atmosphere of silence and awkwardness was created because of the act. It is impossible for me to start first, let alone ask the clarity of his feelings for me.

This awkward atmosphere ended when my phone rang in the room. I don't know who's calling either because I haven't checked.

"Mas, can you ask me to please let go of Kei's hand. Kei wants to answer the phone" I said.

Instead of immediately letting go of his grasp, Darren instead stood up and invited me into the room. "Come on. I also want to see who's calling you."

Huh huh? Darren really why? His attitude was very strange all day. Either he's turned possessive or what? That strange attitude started this morning when he forced me to change clothes, then when I came back this afternoon after dating Rey's sister. He was indistinctly angry which turned out to be the reason for being jealous. And tonight, after she expressed her feelings, she suddenly became even stranger. He won't talk but my hand won't let him go. I don't know when he'll keep quiet and hold my hand like this.

Mas Darren started to step inside the room while pulling my wrist. As for me, I just followed him from behind.

"Mother, Mas. Mother video call," I replied while showing her my phone screen. "Can you please let go of Kei's hand, Mas? Kei was afraid that I misunderstood that Mas Darren was also in Kei's room."

Instead of releasing his grip, Darren mas even more tightened his hand grip.

"Mas doesn't want to. Better get to the dining table. Just tell me mom, if we just finished dinner together," said mas Darren.

Huh huh? I can't believe Darren can say that. If Darren won't take my hand off, then how will I sleep. Can't we sleep together?

Ah, what kind of thought is this? Mas Darren can't possibly sleep with me. He still has common sense and it is impossible to do things that we should not do.

I followed wherever Darren pulled my hand, and finally, we actually ended up sitting on the dining table chair.

"Mother ...." I smiled as I answered a video call from my mother.

I see my mother smiling just like me.  "Yes Dear. What are you doing, son?"

"Kei abis dinner with Mas Darren, Mom," I replied.

"Oh. You're still there, aren't you, Kei?" ask mother.

"Yes, Mom. This is Mas Darren." I pointed my phone screen at Darren who was currently sitting to my right while continuing to hold my hand without ever letting go.

"Hello, Ma'am .. How are you? Are you and dad healthy?" ask Darren. He greeted the mother with a friendly smile, just like always.

"Yes, Son. We're both healthy." Mother replied with a smile.

After talking pleasantries for a few minutes, the mother then began to discuss something that seemed serious.

"Kei, Darren, if you two are there, I want to talk to you both about something" she said.

Me and Darren who heard my mother say that for a moment look at each other. My head was instantly filled with curiosity, and I thought that Darren was the same as me.

"What problem, Mom? Kei was curious," I asked.

"Regarding your future, son," replied the mother who made me even more curious.

"The future? What future do you mean by mother? You mean the shop?" ask again.

Surprisingly, when mom started talking about the future, I felt like Darren's hand was clutching my hand. I don't know what's wrong with him? I don't understand either.

"It's not the store, but the future is much more important" replied the mother.

"What does mom mean? Don't beat around the bush, ma'am. Kei's going to be curious" I said.

"What's really going on, Mom? Please don't make us curious. Kei's future is what do you mean?" This time Darren spoke up. He seems to be just as curious as I am.

Before answering my question, my mother smiled broadly. Looks like mom looks really happy.

"The future I'm referring to is .. Kei's future, with Rey."
