Tell Your Father I'm a Muslim
Back School

David was still lying weakly waiting for his recovery. He was eager to help his friends immediately to expel Maryam from school, but his father always said that the doctor had not allowed him to go home.

A week in the hospital was like a year for him. David really missed the atmosphere of the church where he lived, smelling the scent of trees in the church garden, greeting the loving monks and playing with the dog he named

Pinocchio, a cute little dog that has a necklace that says pinocchio. The necklace was already on his dog's neck when David accidentally found him wounded and wailing weakly in front of the church. David has adopted the dog until now.

Ah, finally that time came too, the doctor already

let her go home.

A black car was waiting for him in front of the hospital. The monks smiled happily leading David into the car. His father did not stop praising God when his adopted son was healed. David immediately sent an SMS to all his classmates that tomorrow he will come to school and take care of the ****** hooded it.

And that morning, after enjoying his favorite breakfast toast, David told his father to go to school. He rattled his silver bicycle. His Pinocchion Dogs barked when they found out David was leaving.

”Easy, calm down, Buddy! I’ll be home soon. Wait for me, okay?! (Quiet, man! I'll be home soon. Wait, ok?!)” david shouted at his beloved dog.

Rushel and a monk standing beside him looked at David from a distance.

”Father, has David really recovered?” ask the monk.

”Only Miracles heal him. We have to make David always happy, the doctor says he should not stress,” Rushel told his convent.

The monk was silent, there was sadness in his heart. How not, David belongs to them, belongs to the church.

Arriving in front of the school gate, his classmates greeted David with excitement.

"Thank God, our leader is healed now." Jardon.

"Come, we're going to the principal's room now!" Said David who is looking forward to taking care of the new child who is considered****** that.

All his friends followed David into the schoolyard. Maryam soon entered the school gate and bowed.

”David. . . David. . . Stop!” Shouted Jardon. Then David looked at Jardon.

”What’s going on? (What's up?)” asked David curiously.

Jardon approached and whispered, ”There she is, Dave. (That's it, Dave)” Jardon said as he turned toward Maryam. David also looked

seeing Maryam.

David was flabbergasted, the figure of the bright-faced woman kept looking down. His clear blue eyes, sharp nose, and thick and fused eyebrows make David still fixated.

”Are you sure that she is a terrorist, Jardon? (Are you sure that he's an ******, Jardon?)” ask David.

”You don’t believe me, Dave? Look at her big veil. Someday you’ll see her concealing the bomb over her veil. (You don't believe me, Dave? Look at the big hijab. One day you'll see him hiding a bomb under his shirt.)” Jardon convinced David.

"I don't want to go to the principal's room right now. I'm sure he's not*****," David said. Jardon was surprised. His classmates looked at David with strange gazes. They wonder why David suddenly changed his mind, even though he was the most eager to expel Maryam who was considered****** that.

Maryam continued walking and did not care about their debate. Maryam glimpsed at David and smiled, then passed. While David was still stiff like hypnotized when he saw Maryam giving a smile for him.

"David...?!" Shouted Jardon again.

"Friends of all, believe me, he is not *******. Now I'm going to class. Whether you want to study or not with me. I don't want to interfere anymore." David said it out loud to all his classmates.

"If you get to class, you're not our class president anymore." Jardon.

"Whatever, but believe me, I'm sure the girl is not*****, I can see her, she's a good girl," David said firmly, then went to class to leave them.

Jardon and her friends insist on not going to class. They returned home to Jardon's persuasion and seduction with his spirit oration. Jardon successfully influenced her classmates to convince them that Maryam was indeed an *******. All of his classmates were disappointed at David's attitude of being so sure that Maryam was not an *******.

David opened the closed classroom door. I don't know what he felt until he changed his mind not to interfere with the statement ******* which Jardon accused Maryam of. He saw

Maryam was sitting on the front bench reading something. David sat next to him. Long time, there was no talk between

them. For David, a face as bright as that there could be no malicious intent to destroy the school with a bomb.

Maryam herself felt calm in the class because she felt she had friends who supported her. He overheard a little debate between David and Jardon in the schoolyard this morning. Maryam's heart wanted to thank David for defending her, but she didn't know where to start.

They are both still silent, whereas between two different human races it is like wanting to greet each other and speak. They were powerless and chose silence. Then suddenly, a forty-year-old male teacher entered the classroom.

”Good Morning's. Ouch. only two of you (Good morning... Oh, just the two of you?) Where are my good, bright students, David?” ask the teacher to David.

”They are away, sir. They.. (They're all gone, sir!)” David did not continue his words. He turned to Maryam, then finally abandoned his intention to tell her what had happened to his teacher. He was worried that it would make Maryam more anxious and angry.

”They why?” ask the teacher again.

”They thought I was an ******, sir, but I moved here all the way from Dubai to join my father who served as ambassador of the United Arab Emirates. I'm just a student, not ******.” Mary tried to explain.

”So, yes?” the teacher said, then approached David, ”This is your resposibility as the chief of the class. You must convince and explain to your friends that Maryam is not a terrorist. (It's your responsibility as class president. You should reassure and explain to all your friends that Maryam is not *****.)”

”Yes, Sir. I believe that she’s not and I’ll do my best to convince them (I believe she is not****** and I will do my best to

convince them),” said David.

Mary looked at David. During school in Dubai, he was never in a class with the adam. She was educated at a girls' school. Mary felt a bit nervous, but she felt something different. Mary was very comfortable to see someone so steadfastly believing that he was not an *******.

”Good. We will continue to learn today,” said the teacher, then they finally studied together.
